PLEASE HELP!!!
Problem: Unable to ROOT device from the moderator ~~~~~ SOLVED
Solution: ???
Backstory
I was rooted on the previous stock build (G900PVPU1BOA6). Then thought it would be a good idea to update firmware before flashing the Mother of All Roms (MOAR) . Little did I know that it was only for G900PVPU1BOA6. Since I couldn't update directly through phone I updated through Samsung Kies. ( Removing ROOT and Twrp). Then I wanted to start fresh. ( Everything back to default factory settings). Then I tried rooting again (CF auto ROOT) and installing a custom recovery (Twrp) but then Odin v3.07 failed a quarter of the way through. (Failed authentication).
If anyone has a solution please feel free to message me[/FONT]

Hey guys! I want to update my Galaxy S4 I9505, because an update was released in August and I last updated in February. The problems are:
root
xposed Framework
custom recovery
custom kernel
Knox apps and stuff removed
What's gonna happen if I update? Which things do I have to redo/reinstall?
And would it better to update via Kies or flash the firmware with odin? (I can get the fw from sammobile, no problem)
EDIT: I'm on standard Touchwiz btw.
if you update over Odin PC or Kies
you will loose root
your files and most apps will not be touch
Use Odin to flash it because Kies will fail. Just try and see how it goes. If you got problems then do a factory reset.
Thank you!
I did a backup followed by a few experiments:
Download mode --> Flash FW with Odin
CF Auto-Root
Custom Recovery
Custom Kernel
Activate xposed (with flashing a zip)
Clear Cache and Dalvik
All that without a single boot to the FW before the last step. Worked!!! :good:
Hi guys, i was thinking of rooting my phone with odin but i'm afraid i might brick it ( CF-Auto-Root )
so.. is there any one who used odin and it worked with him without bricking his phone ?
oh and i forgot to mention that i have android 4.4.2 kitkat
because when i use the normal way to download supersu and install it i get
-----
"There is no binary installed, and SuperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!"
"if you just upgraded to android 4.3, you need manually re-root consult the relevant forums for you device!"
edit:
i rooted my device with odin and there was no problem

Download SuperSU via this link: http://download.chainfire.eu/641/SuperSU/UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.40.zip and flash it with your custom recovery.
I have SM-N910C with triped knox. I flash poland android MM with odin. After reboot i have error - device does not have DRK please install drk first and android cant load.
Then i flash twrp 3.0 with odin and all is ok, no errors and android load and work.
How can i repair that error? I want to use stock android 6.0 with stock recovery.
I Just wonder weather you have installed CM13 on you mobile before, and faced some problems before reverting back to touchewiz - If that is the case, then I would think they are many people will face this same problem whenever attemting to upgrade to Marshmallow !!
I successfully rooted device 3 months back. Firmware updated week back. On trying to reroot using odin, following firmware upgrade, the device will not boot up. Only opening screenwith small red ! visible.
When restarting in recovery mode the following is visible;
odin mode
secure download: enable
mdm download block: 0
product name: sm-g360h
current bin: custom
system status: official
I hope someone has experienced this failure and that help is out there somewhere as I would hate to dump the phone.
Please Help
Trevor
The best thing you can do is to grab the OFFICIAL firmware for your device and flash it with Odin. If you need help doing this I can explain if need be. What most likely happened is you use a root method that only worked for the previous version of the phone.
Smg360h
Have just downloaded firmware and the phone is working fine. Thank you
If you want to try rooting again this thread looks of use. http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...ead-samsung-galaxy-core-prime-t3354916/page11 Also there is a cyanogenmod developed for your device. Cyanogenmod comes with root but you have to enable it in developer options.
Thanks. Will do this.
Phone is a SM-N910R4 US Cellular. Was rooted by Odin then unrooted by King root. Now unable to root using Odin and current non root is unrecognized and unable to update system. Any ideas on how I can either get system updated and/or rooted again ? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thx in advance !
try with Smart switch,it will recognized your phone ,and tell you if you have or not have update for your phone.
I also have problem with root and dm-verify verification failed in recovery ,so I couldn't update my phone OTA ,but I was having update OTA,I was downloading and trying to install it and every time its failed until I didn't install SMART SWITCH,and easily update phone to latest firmware.
which method of rooting your phone you trying to root?
I was having problem with magisk, and every time I failed to root,so I use superSu , superSu cf auto root.
for rooting phone:
I was first install through Odin TWRP for my model
then download superSu-v2.82-201705271822.zip
put that file on my SD card and download to TWRP recovery
then flash that file through install in recovery
and you have rooted phone.
works for me so perfectly that i dont have one problem with rooting.
the second way:
its also through Odin
download Cf-auto root and flash it through Odin
than you can easily download from play store Official TWRP app and install recovery.
for me,this is the best and easy way of rooting phones.
