Hello and welcome to my thread on how to check your bootloader status.
I've seen alot of question about how to check bootloader status and i did some small searching in the Sony Z3 forum and couldn't really find a tutorial on how to do this.
So this is a tutorial on how to check the Bootloader status.
Your DRM Keys are not compromised unless YOU have unlocked your bootloader using] the Sony Developer Website or Flashtool, your phone's bootloader will not get unlocked by flashing a ROM or a kind of zip via a custom recovery..
If you're planning on unlocking your bootloader, read this Tutorial on how to backup your TA Partiton(DRM KEYS) BEFORE unlocking.
If your bootloader already is unlocked and you have not made a backup of your TA Partition read This.
YOU CAN NOT USE ANOTHER PERSONS BACKUP OF THEIR DRM KEYS, NONE ARE THE SAME, IT WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE!
Tutorial
Open the Dialer App
Then press *#*#7378423#*#*
Press "Service Info"

Press "Configuration"
Under "Rooting Status"
If your status is "Bootloader unlock allowed : Yes" = it means you have a locked bootloader.
If your status is "Bootloader unlocked : Yes" = it means you have an unlocked bootloader.

If any further improvement i might need another post
Relock
Hello,
How may I relock my bootloader? I need to send my phone to the service as yellow spots appeared on my display. I tried flashtool but I have not seen the re-lock option, only unlock one.
Thank you very much for any advice.
UPDATE: I have just managed to re-lock the bootloader with newer version of Flashtool (0.9.19.8)

I'm planning to flash the Qualcomm specific patches to my device, which requires unlocked bootloader.
So without going through all the trouble, I want to make sure if my device's bootloader is already unlocked or not.
Is there any easy way to check my bootloader status?
I'm running stock unrooted KitKat 4.4.2

Turn off your phone and turn it on again. At the Google boot logo, if you see an unlocked lock icon at the bottom of the screen, then your bootloader is UNLOCKED.
Something like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
The above post is definitely the easiest way, but this app takes it a step further and tells whether it's ever been unlocked or not, as well as its current state

I read a lot and figured i would have to put the phone in fastboot and flash to stock. When i am trying to do that it says my bootloader is locked so i unlocked it but whenever i type any command it locks the bootloader again.
heres the phone in fastboot mode:

I'm intrigued by that message at the bottom of your image- Device bootloader is makoz30d Update requires makoz20i. Now, makoz30d is the android 4.4 bootloader while makoz20i is the android 4.3 bootloader. Is there some rom confusion here?
A bootloader locking itself automatically after a manual unlock is a sign of a failed emmc (memory chip). This is a hardware issue and cannot be resolved unfortunately.

Hello,
I have a P9 lite VNS-L31 and I'm trying to gain access to root again.
In December I unlocked the bootloader and managed to root it but after a while the phone got an update and it lost the root access.
The actual version is EMUI 4.1.1 VNS-L31C432B161.
When I try to press Power button + volume up it goes to "Verifying update package" until 5% and the I get this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
When I go to bootloader:
Could please someone tell me how to proceed to unlock the FRP?
I'm sorry if this has been asked before but I searched everywhere without a real solution.

FRP Lock it's for google verification, if u unlock this option u ll still not be able to flash weird packages, so better keep locked that FRP and not try the three buttons method, use Firmware finder
@up

You would need to relock the bootloader to get that to go back to official. I don't believe there is a way to do so currently.
Having an unlocked bootloader won't cause audio issues, just an FYI

So as I understood,I need to flash it again and relock bootloader again?
That would get you back to full stock. However, like I said before, I don't think there is a signed bootloader image anywhere, so I don't think you can fully lock that back up yet.

Ok, here is a Tutorial if you have a closed bootloader and installed the wrong stock version. Phone doesn't boot with message:
"This MIUI version can't be installed on this device". If you have this problem, because, for example, you have flashed global version and your phone is chinese, read this carefully.
First, you need yo open phone and use the test point method to enter EDL mode.
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
You have to completely turn off the phone, i recommend plug out battery. Then you must pin these two, and plug usb.
Open MiFlash, then click on reflesh button, you must see COMX port detected. If you see some letters and numbers you are not in EDL mode, so turn off all, and try again.
Then download your GOOD stock version.
There must be a tag.gz compressed file, uncompress it to C:\rom.
THIS THE MOST IMPORTANT Part:
Download this (all credits to Channel TTA):
https://bit.ly/noneedauth
Uncompress it to C:\rom\image and replace the file. This is for avoid the EDL authorization, in my case, I didn't have my Xiaomi account linked to my mobile...
Then press flash, and wait.
You will have the mobile working, you must enable dev settings, then enable OEM unlock in dev settings, (keep pressed for 5 seconds the OEM Unlock option), then link your account with your phone.
After doing this you can unlock bootloader from fastboot, and install custom ROMS, or ROOT.
I hope this guide helps someone, who had bricked his phone and have the bootloader closed.
