What do you think you can replace the original parts with, if the is no fault parts? Copy parts? If if it's the nature of this phone you can do nothing to improve it anyway, unless you are engineer or something.

You might want to try a SIMswap first...

Did you rooted your phone already?
Flashed a ROM?
If So, try to change the Modem of your phone.

OOHHH reallyy?? have you the jack audio piece for me? I really need it, its a black piece which can be detached easily if you remove the top cover (at top of the battery) there are some guide here which explain how to take out the cover.
Hope you can do that for me...

this guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=742642
on the second picture, at the top, there are two screws (red circle) + one little in the middle (not surronded). If you remove those 3 screws, then you can remove the plastic cover and inside there is the speaker and the jack audio (what I need) piece with delicate pins. but if you think its more convenient to sent the whole phone thats ok too
I live in Italy .
I only need the little gps cable that connects the motherboard to the gps antenna

You have to belive there are really great improvements in signal stability and reception,i can say about 70%.I ve read in a italian forum that someone asked acer about this mod,and after some mails someone at the acer assistance asked their engineers to test this mod;they confirmed the improvement, and even that this mod maybe doesn t void the warranty, because you have not to open the phone. Finally they said they would report about this to acer Europe to have final confirmation. After this mail no new reply.Maybe Acer won t admit fault

well netnerd , believe me or not, but gps signal after mod DOES indeed improve a lot. Anyway Arto's not referring to that mod guide.
Arto, if I find I can't fix my problem , I will be happy to give you my device.
Netnerd, if you don't use it, you could send-sell the device to me or Arto, after that we could share the pieces needed. Unfortunately I live in Europe.

i removed all the screws, i still can not open it to get the parts you guys needed. want the whole phone? i only charging shipping cost (13.50 USD to italy). phone comes with battery!
if you or arto want to pay the shipping cost, email me!
well....that would be AWESOME !!
The only thing's that Italy has some restrictions about vat, well anyway the tax' calculated only on the assured price so I should be ok.
Well, After that I could send the piece to Arto .
Well Netnerd....that would be really awesome, thanks.
Netnerd, have you got any news?
I've sent you a PM

Need a new rear/multimedia speaker.

Hi, I'm new here and I dunno where to post this stuff.
My Nexus S rear speaker was heavily damaged when I try to test the equalizer setting 2 weeks ago and now it's completely gone. No sound at all.
Is there anyone knows how to get the new sparepart for the speaker because I can't find it anywhere in my country, Malaysia. I've tried searching online but can't find any website that sell it.
What type of speaker does this phone have. Can it fit any other speakers model from different phone such as SGS or SGS2?
Thank you..And sorry for my english (I think my english is ok)

You probably have, but just to make sure...have you considered sending it back to Samsung? This is a hardware defect if there ever was one.

Yes I have asked Samsung in here but they said my phone have to be send to Samsung Korea because they don't have the part for this phone. It will take 3-4 weeks or maybe more. Actually Nexus S in my country is very rare, only few lucky people get their hands on these phones. That's why it s really troublesome when something like this happens. If only I can get the part, I have no problem replacing it myself.

I know it'd be a pain, but you may want to take them up on the offer. Could cost you less than a new phone.

[Q] Note 3 SM-N5006

Hello XDA,
I was in a bind with a broke phone and had to purchase this one. Unfortunately I am thinking that this was not a good idea as with this phone I can't seem to get it on a network higher than Edge. No 3G or LTE.
Does anyone know if the 5006 is different with the hardware or should I just try an custom ROM?
Any help is appreciated as I can't seem to find anything on the 5006 model of the Note 3

[Q] i9505 Motherboard replacement but the IMEI...

Hi guys, I'm in a bit of a pickle and would appreciate any help .
Background:
I bought a used i9505 off of eBay that had a broken speaker and fast batter drain. Turns out jokes on me and the motherboard had water damage (the indicator on the inside of the frame was purple). So I decided to replace the motherboard and bought a new one on eBay, that was set with an IMEI of 00/01. Now I've got the new board installed and FW 4.4.2 running on it.
Question:
How do I get my IMEI from my old motherboard to the new one? Is that possible? I've been googling for hours now and found that the only way to do it is to use Super IMEI box/STP boxes. Is there a away to do it without it? I guess there's no easy way of just entering it somewhere eh?
Ps.: The old motherboard runs, so technically i have complete access to it.
Thanks for the help!
Restoring old EFS on your new phone's board is a very bad idea. Really...
The less you will obtain is an unbootable pretty doorstop, besides it's illegal...
IMEI is unique to each phone, so tecnically, you have a new phone

I thought I needed a valid IMEI to make calls and use the network? But I just tried placing a call using the Vodafone internet and it all seems to work. Sorry for the Noobish question, but what is the IMEI then good for? If everything works fine I don't need to get my old one back at all then.
I guess the new board came with one too
Sent from my GT-I9505 using XDA Free mobile app
IMEI numbers are used by operators to register your phone on it's network.
Think abut it as the unique fingerprint identyfing your phone
got a question too: how did you install the new board? just screwed the old one out, put the new one in and connected all flex cables? would be very nice to know :good:

I don't know why people don't answer simple instead of telling other thing, you can try Qualcomm Product Support Tools (QPST) and ChimeraTool. I didn't tried QPST with I9505 but works fine I9305 version of qualcom. Google provides several articles for QPST...

Yeah. Sounds like they may have replaced your display with a faulty unit. Ask them to replace it or threaten to press legal action.
