Hi, i tried to install a rom on Recovery Mode, but i always get the same error message, something like this: "E/unable to mount preload". My tablet is a Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 (SM-T330).
Someone told me to use the Odin and flash a Recovery, but even after that i get the same error.
Can someone help me with this subject?
Thanks

That's because the only way to root 5.1.1 is to modify the kernel, which I already told you
Same problem but I had working yesterday

So I have tried twice now to root my Verizon Note III and a Security Cache error. This forces me to re-install the factory ROM. I am using ODIN 3.09 and have the Drivers updated to 1.5.27.0.
What am I missing?
Thanks
if you took OTA to MJ7 and trying to root it with Root De La Vega(which is MI9), it will have same problem as you have.

Well, it doesnt seem to be rooted since the motochopper root says failure and then wants to restart the phone, and all i end up with is the unauthorized access message.

Gals sorry if this was asked before, really sorry... i dont want to bother you..
I have some issues whit TWRP, the backup that i made of my official firmware (4.2.2 whitout knox) doesnt work.
The problem is that i installed a custom and now i dont know how to go back.
I know that in sammobile i can find the official 4.2.2 but ¿there is any way to install a 4.3 o 4.4.2 (oficial whitout knox)?
My head hurts.. after reading and reading i dont know what to do... i cant understand the modems and baseband things...
Cheers for the help
First, it depends on what firmware you're currently on what you can and can not do. Second, 4.3 and 4.4 both have Knox and there is none without it.

Thanks for the reply jd.
Right now im using C-Rom, i went from 4.2.2 stock to this custom (i did not flash anything else like modems or basebands).
Everything works fine but i want to return to stock.
So, ¿exist a stock rom (knox free) flashable vía twrp or CWM?
As i understand you.. ¿The only way to have 4.3 or 4.4 stock its vía official firmware whit knox?

If you want to return to stock, I'd user Odin and flash the 4.2.2 firmware. You can get that at sammobile.com

Hi everyone.
Im having a root issue.
Ive rooted my Galaxy S4 with no problems at all. My firmware version is I9505XXUGNG8.
However when i try to go to the Clockworkmod recovery i can't do it.
It simply goes to the normal system recovery. I want to install a custom rom, so this way i cant do it.
Ive tried some workarounds but the problem continues.
Is there anyway known to fix this?
Thanks
Have you tried to flash the recovery package with ODIN por Mobile ODIN?

Well for what ive read the real problem is the firmware itself and KNOX App.
There is no CF Auto Root for this firmware. Theres some turn arounds but not so easy as the normal rooting mode.
I will try to get an older firmware cause the only thing i want is to put a custom rom
Try towelroot

After searching around the forums, I understand that i need to be on 5.1.1 to be able to achieve root and custom recovery. Is this true? I am on 6.0.1 and need to get root please ! I apologize if it is posted, but I am having difficulty putting two & two together. Thank you to anyone who helps.

Recovery has nothing to do with your firmware, just flash it using Odin. Then you can root your phone.

Try this, bro:

I used a chain fire method in a different thread that worked flawlessly. What if I wanted to use custom roms tho? CF seems to only work with stock firmwares......correct?

Custom roms are usually already rooted. Simply flash recovery with Odin (no root needed), then flash the desired Rom.

For custom recovery nd root just download twrp recovery for note 4 910c then after u go to download mode nd flash it thru odin nd download space lemon kernal rooted one nd flash it thru recovery nd ur phone will be rooted brother
Thank you for the guidance, I flashed Lemon kernel and the speed improvement was drastic! However, when I attempt to flash resurrection remix rom from the exynos forum, after analyzing the error message (don't know how to log it) it says it is the incorrect build. Something about trlrexx but mine is trrexx I believe? I can run the whole log again if necessary to help you folks assist me in resolving this issue. But so far, making progress
