Just enjoy your triggered knox flag and rooted s4.

Well, it doesnt seem to be rooted since the motochopper root says failure and then wants to restart the phone, and all i end up with is the unauthorized access message.

[Q] Rooting XXUDMJ7: Is it possible?

Hi, I've read conflicting accounts on different forums regarding the possibility of rooting MJ7 without tripping knox. I tried the k i n g o yesterday, but it just kept giving me a notification on the phone about there being an app trying to access system files which it blocks. After this, I'm assuming the root failed, and it just keeps on rebooting my phone.

Yes I have. However, this is what pops up whenever I try and root it via kingo.

Okay. I'm kinda getting impatient but i dont want to trip knox just yet.
Than you have to wait till some one come with 100%working solution for mj7. Don't try different methods to root mj7 if you don't want to trip knox because you are always in danger of knox tripping by trying different methods.

root on kitkat knox

Hello, everyone,
my note 3 runs android 4.4.2, has 0x0 (since that it has not yet been rooted) and I'd like to keep it that way.
So, my question is: is there a rooting method that will not trip my knox?
Thanks in advance for help.

There is not a way to root it without tripping KNOX, it's possible only for Jelly Bean
And downgrading is not possible either, so I'm kinda stuck for now, huh...
Well, anyway, thanks for the quick reply!

Probably atleast 10 guides. It will take less than 5 minutes to root.

CFautoroot.
3 mins to read, 1 min to download, less than 1 min to flash via odin.

I was hesitating to root or not to root, but I don't like Android without root, so I have rooted it with CFautoroot and we are both happy with tripped KNOX so I suggest to root
Hi
I used CF auto root. It works fine ..
Now, I´ve got the following status:
current binary: custom
system status: custom

I dont care about the the knox status, but I want to change the custom status to update my phone with Samsung updates. I downloaded TriangleAway v3.26 but I cant choose the option (see attachment). As I understand I can use the App to block the status but it doesnt work. And I have no idea what "System executable needed to implement workaround not found" means. Where can I find the workaround and where shall I store it on my device ?
The second message I dont understand too. I dont find another version in the play store... I think its the same version like in the board?
Maybe someone could help me

You can also install xposed framework and use the cosmetic system normal mod. This will make it look "Official" in settings...
I don't know if this will allow OTA, most people just use ODIN to flash what they want - but you most definitely will loose root doing an OTA.

If the device is rooted. I would never suggest OTA updates. Odin is the way to go.

Question for anyone who can answer it correctly; would un rooting a phone (with knox tripped) and installing a fresh stock firmware then re-rooting it with this method and placing a custom rom on it would keep the knox un touched or would it still be tripped?

custom recovery will trip knox
I also successfully rooted my tmobile M919 on 4.4.2 with towelroot. I then installed SU from chainfires site and next installed CWM from ROM manager. My knox counter is tripped, but oh well.
The thing I have noticed is that, since root, some applications that want to access the SD card are having trouble. For instance, Flipboard opens and runs ok, but there are no pictures. Kindle reading app cannot downnload my book to the device. It will sync them, but hangs when asked to download them. ESPN app would not download podcasts, UNTIL I switched the storage location from external to internal storage. (I ttried to change the Cache from external to internal in flipboard, but the application force closes everytime i try to make that switch - another indication that certain apps are having trouble with extrnal storage.
I have tried another SD card, but still no go.
Any ideas? Thanks
(also, if I were to decide to unroot, would the simplest way be to do it through SU ?

Kitkat blocked SD access so I was told. Use SD Fix to fix that, basically it opens up your SD card for write access.
Or any other SD fixer apps in play store.. You need root.
Hi, I have used 2 diferent sd fix apps from play store. They say the issue is fixed, but in reality, it is not. My kitkat is 4.4.2 and is rooted. Any other suggestion, please?
HI, did anyone manage to get towelroot to work on lollipop stock TW for s4 LTE? Mine said "device npt supported"

I don't agree, Knox often lets the devices reboot. And the second point is, that you can't use it so it is useless. I would delete every Knox relating app

That was the first step. After that he can install SD Maid and remove all Knox features. You agree with me?
I never tested
But why don't just delete with Titanium backup? I think the result is the same, isn't it?

I don't know. In SD Maid you got more options and you can remove all things you want not just the Knox App
Same with Titanium, i guess there are 6 or 7 Knox relating apps or drivers and you can delete them with TB.
But no matter how you delete the apps, important is, that you delete them

Yes it only voids your warranty that's all. You could of tried towelroot v3 to root by opening the app and tapping at the top where it says towelroot v3 three times then put this number in 1337 0 1 7380 4 0 but if you aren't worried about warranty CF-Autoroot works just fine.
yes I have tried with towelroot v3. First time works great but after update it doesn't work for me.
I have tap 3 times and changed also to different codes. I have read there are 3 different codes.
It does not matter if its voids warranty for now, because all works fine for me.
Is there a solution to unroot, to get warranty or can I never use my waranty because I root the tab 4 with cf-autoroot?

I'm more interested in completely removing knox software, I know the related system apps to remove in TiBu and searched and deleted anything "knox" in a root-enabled browser, but I also noticed knox coming up in the build.prop, specifically the following lines:
Code:
ro.build.knox.container=
persist.sys.storage_preload=1
ro.securestorage.knox=true
ro.config.knox=1
Is it worth changing any of these lines or am I blundering my way towards bricking my device?
I wouldn't recommend for you to remove ANY lines of code that may or may not brick your device
You could always just re-flash a ROM or make a backup with TWRP
??
