Hi!
I read a lot of thread that said i9500 camera is better than i9505 for shutter lag, noise, details and low light condition pictures.
Is possible to install i9500 camera sensor into i9505?
I know the socket is the same, but what about software? Will it works? Someone have tried?
I would like to try, but if it is impossible I'll not buy the sensor..
I don't know if i9500 camera driver can be "installed" into a standard i9505 rom, it would be awesome!
Haven't tried if you will try then let us know

firstly and exclusively, have questions, POST IN THE Q&A FORUM.....secondly, hand shake will indeed give blurred pics since S4 lacks OIS. try to turn off night mode and tune down the ISO if you have manually increased it.
P.S. -> do not, DO NOT post these on our dev forums, please.....
hope I helped.
regards,
Achyut.

My S4 reproduce blurry pictures at minimun movement, to get a sharp picture I need to stay steady like a sniper.
try cleaning the lens
Guys.. Do you agree that the camera quality of our i9500 device sucks? It is very strange to notice that comparing to the iPhone camera it is a couple of time worse! How can the camera of the Galaxy S4 Active shoot videos and make photos much more better quality than this device? Is there any development thread here where people create patches or camera mods to uncrease the quality? I saw a video recorded on an S4 Active in a car at night with only the dim light of the car on... and the video was so damn stable and the lights where so damn optimized.... how come the i9500 camera be so low on quality? Can you advice me anything to rise up this thing?

Make sure your lens is clean! If it's not 100% clean, your camera will perform A LOT worse.

I use an I9505, and we have the Galaxy S6 camera, which makes our video very stabilized. Perhaps you have that too availible?

We have a port for that but the ROM it'self is soooo very unstable... What I am asking is maybe that there are some settings that are limited or some blocked ones, who knows...Because I read the cameras are the same between S4 models... so why should the quality be different?
For example if a light gets a little in the photo, that side of the photo will be very blury, but on an S4 active you never get such mess. On some websites they write that Active has a Back-Illuminated Sensor and i9500 doesnt. Is it because of this? Because other websites write that Active doesnt have and i9500 has... It is very confusing...
Anyway, if any Active user is reading now, let's post some comparing images for people to understand what I am talking about.
Even others say that their i9500 camera is very low on picture stabilization/ focus comparing to s2 and s3 models.... Why did Samsung make it like that?
Hello guys, I have installed a CM12 nightly build into my Galaxy Note 3 [hlte] and everything is fine.
But I was wondering, is it possible to bring back some of the original apps (like the Camera or S Note) which i had with the original Samsung firmware?
Thanks

It would be nice - I think a lot of us CM users would like the Sammy camera back. But unless there's a Dev out there who wants to spend a lot of time, you either have those apps or a really slick phone.
hi may i ask what are the bugs in cm12 that youre using? i wanna flash it too but m afraid of major bugs. and no you cant have TW firmware ori apps on CM.

Actually I haven't discovered any bugs yet. Everything seems working fine, wifi, bluetooth, wifi hotspot, 3G, sd card...
how about the pictures taken by the camera quality? volume sounds low?

Pics seem fine although some have lamented the 'night mode' lack. All resolutions available.
Sound seems pretty normal but I use Viper4 anyway - the missus gets upset if I go to the pub and don't hear her messages arrive. So I use Viper to boost the sound. Can't have SWMBO getting mad...

Pictures are the same as with the original firmware, volume is high.

I'm a little curious as to what you expect to learn from a pic? It's not going to tell you much unless you know precisely the conditions it was taken in and how good the photographer actually is.
e.g. attached is one of mine, but what does it tell you about the actual camera app? Temasek's CM12.1
Thanks for doing that for me. Basically from my previous device a note 2 running on cm the image quality of the picture after you snap it its still just not the quality you sèe on the stock firmware. no matter how you took it low lights or bright under the sun you will still able to see it blurry. Me i use my note 3 camera quite frequently so i need the images to be as clear as what the stock gives. Hope you get what i mean haha

Yes... in that pic I tapped on the label as I am selling the pump and wanted that part clear as possible. I've found any blurriness is me, not the phone. I wouldn't mind a cam app that lets me change ISO and as well as shutter time though...
I think one issue with any cam app is the shutter sound doesn't match WHEN it takes the snap, so to get clear shots we have to hold for longer than the actual shot time... or use burst shot and pick the best image.
I've recorded a video to show what happens everytime I try to take a photo of a close object. I have a Galaxy Nexus and I don't have the same problem with that phone's camera (the object will always come properly focused). The Galaxy Nexus should have a way inferior camera, right?
This happens with any kernel or any rom I install. Even with the stock ones. I don't think it is a software problem or is it and it isn't related to what I can flash into the phone?
Anyway, here's the video. Maybe one of you knows about the problem and can lead me a way to fix it.

I've always thought that this is a common problem. I assumed that because an object is way too close, a phone's camera is not properly able to focus on it. I've experienced it with both my Galaxy S II and my Galaxy Note 3, whether it's on stock or on a custom ROM so I thought nothing of it. If there's a fix to this, I'd love to hear it! But this just might be something to do with Samsung phone's cameras, maybe?
