[Q] Help restoring External App&Data via titanium backup pro - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Trying to restore the external backup app+data to my new Micro SD Card . I was able to back up all the app+data using a samsung OTG cable with the new card mounted on it. Backing up on either internal or old external card is not possible as there is no space on either one and the backup is 10gb large.
It's location is External SD Card/Android/TitaniumBackup. When I install the new card in the phone and try to restore anything I just get a failed to restore error (using batch mode).
How do I properly restore the backups in a batch? only thing I can do is navigate to the backup folder but I am only able to select individual files.., I'm assuming this is not the correct way to restore..
Any help is greatly appreciated...been dealing with this for a month now and TB support is useless, even as a paid supporter.

TitaniumBackup + SDcard backup

TitaniumBackup will backup all apps and system data, but does it backup data stored onto the internal SDcard ? Say you copy a few albums and some pictures onto the SDcard, will Titanium figure this out ? My gut feeling is that it does'nt and if so, what would you recommend to take care of this ?
I would like to install a new ROM, and I know from past experience that the SDcard on the 'Nexus 7' will be completely wiped and want to ensure that I don't loose any data
I backup all my data regularly offsite by using both TB and nandroid backups, then use a sync app to copy the data including other folders (Like pictures) to a workstation.
Lost/Stolen/Broken/Messed up by a ROM update, I can restore and be back like new (even with a new device).

Excellent advice, thank you !
i sync to my ftp server..
But ti backup will backup to and restore from a sd card with OTG Cable. Done it several times. just set your backup location to the sd card while its mounted.. but do not unmount while ti is open do not unplug otg without unmounting.. You WILL CURRUPT YOUR BACKUP.. YES I DID THIS once too...
Good Luck.. TI sync app is so very slow and useless ..
i use andftp. app
Well if your already unlocked, your SD card won't be wiped when you install ROMs.....

Helium (formerly Carbon) Restore issue

i backed up my apps with helium and moved the files to my laptop as i wanted to do a full wipe + a format to my internal storage, after i did all that and flashed a new rom,i installed helium again, plugged my phone to my laptop and copied the contents of the "carbon" folder on my laptop to the folder that got created in the phones storage after i installed the app.
Now when i try to restore the apps from the internal storage i see a message that says "No backups were found on your internal storage.Maybe you should make some"
is there any workaround this issue or am i doing something wrong

Titanium backup moving backup folder to SD

Hi Folks
Just recently brought a 64GB SDXC card for my S4.
with only a measly 9gb free space on the internal memory I brought the SD card to move items such as my nandroid and titanium backups as well as photos and other media.
I managed to move the nandroid backups ok however I also run a daily Titanium backup which still writes to the local memory. I have changed the path to point to a folder on the SD card but it fails to write to this area.
At this moment in time I dont want move Apps to SD just the other bits as this will allow me to recover about 3/4GB of space.
Does anyone know how I can force titanium backup to move or write new files to the SD card location?
Thanks
Follow this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2524277 to make your card writable, then copy your Titanium backup folder over, and run the Titanium to set the default backup location.
I'm trying to do the same by enable RW permission for the externalSD but ended corrupted my system/etc/permissions/platform.xml. Appreciate if anyone can send me the file.
Thanks.

Got the file from the previous link. Thanks.
I was recommended a app to download called FolderMount which would do this for me, I have to say since I have used this it found an issue with my SD card and fixed it automatically, then pointed Titanium back to the SD card and it now works fine..
Something to consider..

CWM Backups

Hi everyone,
I just received my brand new TN7. I rooted and installed CWM by using Pac's Super Tool and made some backups (and restore) of my differents mods.
Till then everything is ok exept when I tried to save my backups to my PC.
I think I looked everywhere on SD0 and SD1 but no traces of my backups. Where are they?
I'm not so new on android (Phones, tablets, other devices,...) and on each device the backups were visible on SD0/SD1.
Someone can explain me where to find them?
Hello.Tegra note is mounted as media device mtp or camera ptp, thats why you dont see all files when looking thru pc(device connected to pc).Copy backups to sd card in tablet and insert card to pc.I think your backups are on internal storage(main storage) in cwm folder.

I use ES-Explorer (in root mode) on my tablet and I see no folder containing cwm backups. Does it use a special mount?
Hello.try using root explorer.mnt-sdcard-cwm.

Titanium Backup does not recognize folder

I N910C and I used the ROM Stock N910CXXU2DPF4 and after updated the N910CXXS2DPG6 version, Titatinium Backup does not recognize the old folder backups, to restore power, even if the internal memory or SD card.
Even if I use the function to detect the Titanium, it does not detect.
I first have to make a backup, either a file or all, for Titantium recognize the current folder.
Use the 7.5.0 version. Titanium Backup
Can someone help me?
