[Q] i9505 bricked, can't turn on after Hard-Reset. - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Two days ago , I had to reset my device to factory mode; for that, I used the recovery mode (Hard-Reset) the device turned on properly, I used it without problems until the time I had to connect to the charger i turned off the device, when I tried to turn it on again (with battery 100%), appeared the logo of Samsung and freezed the device, i leaved it alone at least one hour, maybe two... it's a brick.
I tried:
-Hard-Reset again
-Install another ROM using download mode
-Install Stock ROM using download mode
-Change of recovery and Hard-Reset again
-Change of recovery + ROM and Hard-Reset again
-Throw it from the seventh floor window (well no)
Extra info:
I HAVE ACCESS TO RECOVERY AND DOWNLOAD MODE
ROM: I9505VJUHOC1_I9505UUBHOC1_CHO (Oficial ROM for Chile, 5.0.1)
Recovery: STOCK (Came with the ROM)
A friend said to me i need to totally reset my phone, bootloader, recovery, ... basically, he said i need to flash ALL the images again, but that would need all the original files, ¿no?.
P.S. Im estupid, please teach me how.
P.P.S. Sorry bad english.

Thanks, but ... WI-FI it's now dont working, tried at least 3 official roms and 1 non-official to fix it.

Flash the ROM again to fix the WiFi. Sometimes it takes multiple flashes before everything works.

[Q] Booting Problem

Hey Guys,
i have a problem with flashing custom recovery on my I9505(jfltexx).
When i flash "DBT-I9505XXUBMEA-20130601103235" via Odin and in addition the "CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505" my phone boots up, most of the time but not all the time. Now when i try to flash custom Recovery via Odin, my phone stucks at the Samsung Galaxy Logo and it wont continue. Even if i enter the standard recovery from Goomanager and i select "reboot system now" it stucks on the Logo!
Any Help?
Thanks in Advance

Ok now i get it as per what i see i can still get your device back to normal but myte take multiple try rest assured it will work
1st flash a stock firmware again (not rooted pure stock) this time using pit file along with firmware
and while flashing the firmware using odin and pit do check re-partition also
Note with out pit file do not check the re-partition box
and once the flashing is done device should boot if its not booting
go to stock recovery like how i told u earlier and do factory reset and wipe cache
and reboot
and tell me the status.. all the best
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477&highlight=stock+firmware get pit file/ stock firmware from here for ur variant

In Odin
PDA - u should select firmware stock one
PIT - select pit file
Re- partition should be check follow the image and flash
If Re-Partition is checked u must have pit file also do not forget that else u myte brick ur device

Based on what you said, it seem like you still have all the partitions intact. Just that they are empty right now.
Did you do a full backup before all this problem happen? Or did you do a custom backup?
Are your backups stored in external memory and is a full backup? If so, try using custom recovery to restore your backup?

Chill. Your phone is definitely not bricked. I encountered your problem before when i was experimenting with something.
- Right now, boot to whatever recovery that you have. Try to wipe cache, dalvik, and any other partition if possible.
- After that, boot to download mode and try to flash STOCK rom using odin. Check that flash was success.
- Try to boot your phone and report here on what happens.
Edit: You might want to consider restarting your computer and changing usb port. "Faulty" Usb port will affect the flashing part.

Behave your speech smart guy, they are trying to help!
general rule on how to fix a bootloop:
1- Wipe data and cache. If not,
2- Restore a nandroid backup if available. If not,
3- Flash stock firmware, If not,
4- Flash stock firmware with pit file (you can try pit file alone).

[Q] Omega v20.1 - Stuck at boot

I'm trying to install Omega v20.1 (coming from v13) on my galaxy S4 I9505
These are the steps i followed:
1. Backuped phone (nadroid backup + titanium)
2. Flashed the new bootloder and modems with odin v1.85 -> I9505XXUFNA1_Bootloader_Modems.tar (PDA slot)
No auto reboot, waited 3 minutes after odin was done before reboot
3. Booted to Recovery (TWRP newest version) and flashed Omega v20.1 and then restarted phone.
The spinning logo apperas at boot and stays spinning for 15+ minutes (stuck at boot)
Any ideas on what went wrong? And how to make it work? According to all threads I've read this is a school book example on how to do it.
Plz, anyone? (nand restore and v13 is back with a 0x1 know but that was expected)

Installed/flashed latest TWRP

Hehe funny mate You need to Extract the file and I9505XXUFNA1_I9505OXAFNA1_I9505XXUFNA1_OXA.zip, Then you get a file called I9505XXUFNA1_I9505OXAFNA1_I9505XXUFNA1_HOME_OXA..tar.md 5 and flash it with odin by selecting PDA/AP , then follow the tutorial on top , Or follow this
Remember Flashing this or Omega will void your warranty.
Extract (unzip) the firmware file
- Download Odin3 v3.09
- Extract Odin .ZIP file
- Open Odin3 v3.09
- Restart phone in download mode (Press and hold Home + Power + Volume down buttons)
- Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
- Add - Add I9505XXUFNA1_I9505OXAFNA1_I9505XXUFNA1_HOME.tar.md 5 to AP
- Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
- Click start button, sit back and wait a few minutes.
- If you encounter any issues with the firmware (Any FC, Bootloop etc)
- Boot into recovery mode (Home+power+vol up)
- Choose to wipe/factory reset. (THIS WILL ERASE ALL OF YOUR DATA INCLUDING YOUR INTERNAL SD CARD!)
- Then choose reboot and you should be good to go!
Next step after your done flashing Stock
Again via odin pc flash the latest recovery TWRP or philz recovery Im not really sure about TWRP if they have .tar to flash ....
Wipe cache, dalvik cache data and system (Clean wipe!)
From recovery flash Omega 20.x with full wipe
Set up phone etc (again making sure wifi and everything else was OK)
Optional = And for good measure then performed a no-wipe install! Done!

[Q] Stock!

I putted Cynagemod or whatever it's called, but now i want back everything ass stock phone. I don't want that cynagemod anymore. How can i do that?
Hi,
Go to "Sammobile" website -> Firmware Database -> choose your model and download the stock firmware
i did this too and need a full day to download 1.100 MB (very slow server if u don't have premium account @ sammobile)
Next Step go to recovery mode and wipe everything (maybe not needed but i do this for safety)
u need samsung usb driver and Odin Flash program
Start Odin (i use odin3 1.85) click "PDA" and choose your ROM File
be sure that ONLY "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" is checked nothing more in Options
Now boot your Phone into Download Mode (power+home+volume down) and connect it to your PC USB
Odin should show now in the left bottom message box that your Phone is connected!
Press Start and wait (5-10 minutes)
your phone should restart automatic after successfully flash
Done

Any errors in recovery when you make full wipe?
If you have a "emmc"error ... the flash of the phone is ruined and the is no software solution for this just hardware
If the are no errors try to flash the bootloader or root the phone (it will voids your warranty)and try to flash a custom rom
If the phone is not rooted and still have warranty .. send it to cusomer service centre..it will replace the mother board

You should try to:
Download SM-N910C_WanamLite.OH4_BL_Modem.tar.md5.zip and SM-N910C_WanamLite.XXU1COH4.V3.0.NO-WIPE.zip from here
Put SM-N910C_WanamLite.XXU1COH4.V3.0.NO-WIPE.zip in your external sdcard
Reboot the phone in recovery mode. From TWRP go to Wipe/AdvancedWipe/ and tick DalickCache, System, Data, Internal Storage, Cache and "Swipe to Wipe".
Always from TWRP go back to the first page, hit "Install", search for SM-N910C_WanamLite.XXU1COH4.V3.0.NO-WIPE.zip in /external_sd and install it, after Wipe Dalvick and Cache.
Reboot in Download mode
In your PC launch ODIN and put SM-N910C_WanamLite.OH4_BL_Modem.tar.md5.zip in the AP button (untick autoreboot)
Connect the phone (in Download mode) to the PC via USB cable
Let it be recognized by ODIN and hit the start button.
Once successful flash, disconnect the phone from the PC, take out the battery, put it back in and turn on the phone.
It should solve your bootloops

When you download just the bootloader you have to put it in the BL button. But what I've linked is a modem/bootloader package and it has to be flashed from the AP button.

Thank you JJEgan,
Sorry for posting in wrong forum.
I just need some help to understand the below with the ROM installation
Rom Installation: (do I follow these steps alone?)
1. Download Phronesis rom and save it to your phone memory or sd card
(these step I understand - I will copy the rom to thesd card
2. Get a good recovery. TWRP recovery recommended, 2.8.7.0. Newer versions are not supported
(I have downloaded TWRP 2.8.7.0)
How do I install this?
3. Boot into recovery, factory reset (full wipe, clean install is recommended). Make choices in Aroma.
I get into TWRP recovery mode (volume up/home/power)
Make choices in Aroma? what choices must I make here?
4. Optional flash kernel of choice if you're
This is not so clear to me...
The other I understand. Just points 2, 3 and 4 I need help with to understand.
4. Reboot after successful install and wait for best rom in town to build. Allow about 10 - 15 minutes for first boot.
5. Your phone will reboot once after the first boot to complete customizations..
6. Sit back and enjoy
I will appreciate the help to understand more.
many thanks

Open Odin, uncheck everything except f reset time. Flash TWRP. When you see the word "reset" in the status window, remove USB cable from the phone, remove battery from the phone, replace battery, boot into recovery using power+vol up+home.
