Hey Guys,
i have a problem with flashing custom recovery on my I9505(jfltexx).
When i flash "DBT-I9505XXUBMEA-20130601103235" via Odin and in addition the "CF-Auto-Root-jflte-jfltexx-gti9505" my phone boots up, most of the time but not all the time. Now when i try to flash custom Recovery via Odin, my phone stucks at the Samsung Galaxy Logo and it wont continue. Even if i enter the standard recovery from Goomanager and i select "reboot system now" it stucks on the Logo!
Any Help?
Thanks in Advance

U can try going to Stock or The recovery u installed which ever u are able to open
Just wipe cache & reboot
It should work well if this does not work
Flash a pre rooted firmware
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2255190&highlight=pre+rooted+i9505
And flash PHILZ recovery 100 % there wont be any problem and ya after flashing a firmware do Reset from the device and then flash recovery

and while flashing the firmware using odin and pit do check re-partition also
Note with out pit file do not check the re-partition box
and once the flashing is done device should boot if its not booting
go to stock recovery like how i told u earlier and do factory reset and wipe cache
and reboot
and tell me the status.. all the best

So let me get this clear. In Odin i should check the stock Rom in PIT instead of PDA? And check the Re-Partion box?

PDA - u should select firmware stock one

Re- partition should be check follow the image and flash
If Re-Partition is checked u must have pit file also do not forget that else u myte brick ur device

Based on what you said, it seem like you still have all the partitions intact. Just that they are empty right now.
Did you do a full backup before all this problem happen? Or did you do a custom backup?
Are your backups stored in external memory and is a full backup? If so, try using custom recovery to restore your backup?

Chill. Your phone is definitely not bricked. I encountered your problem before when i was experimenting with something.
- Right now, boot to whatever recovery that you have. Try to wipe cache, dalvik, and any other partition if possible.
- After that, boot to download mode and try to flash STOCK rom using odin. Check that flash was success.
- Try to boot your phone and report here on what happens.
Edit: You might want to consider restarting your computer and changing usb port. "Faulty" Usb port will affect the flashing part.

Behave your speech smart guy, they are trying to help!
general rule on how to fix a bootloop:
1- Wipe data and cache. If not,
2- Restore a nandroid backup if available. If not,
3- Flash stock firmware, If not,
4- Flash stock firmware with pit file (you can try pit file alone).

What was the result of PC odin flash? Did it get stuck at factoryfs.img?

I believe you did not do a factory wipe after your GB from PC Odin boots, right?
Because the GB flash via PC Odin only put the necessary files into your phone, the residue data from your previous Rom is still in it, upon boot, your system read theses data and do not understand some residue instructions, therefore you are stuck.
Just do a full wipe and cache as well... try it and let me know if I am right?

After flashing the STOCK GB (very imp)
Get into the stock recovery by pressing vol up+ home+ power button and do a factory reset, you are good to go.
Edit: Do not flash Abyss yet, you would get a yellow triangle.
Also first boot takes sometime, how long are you waiting before trying again. Just do a factory reset on stock GB rom, power off, remove the battery and wait for sometime. Put the battery and boot again! It may take some time but it should boot.

ok i will try to flash KL8 a wipe Rom from dr. ketan's thread.. thank you
THIS GUIDE IS INTENDED ONLY FOR THE 16GB GALAXY S2 I9100 (but a similar procedure can be applied to some other samsung devices)
BIG THANKS TO USER HG42, ALL CREDITS GO TO HIM AS HE IS THE ONE THAT MADE THIS POSSIBLE. THE ORIGINAL GALAXY NOTE THREAD IS HERE
THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THIS WILL WORK, IT DID FOR ME AND A FEW OTHERS BUT YOUR PROBLEM COULD BE SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENS TO YOUR PHONE
AFTER FLASHING THE PIT FILE, YOU SHOULD IMMEDIATLY FLASH A SAMSUNG ROM OR A KERNEL VIA ODIN, ESPECIALLY IF YOU STILL HAVE THE LQ5 KERNEL INSTALLED, IN ANY CASE, DON'T TRY TO WIPE DATA AFTER THE PIT FILE FLASH, FLASH A ROM OR A KERNEL BEFORE DOING ANY WIPE
As you must know by now, some users experienced hard bricks after flashing the leaked LQ5 firmware and doing a factory reset or a data wipe, some others, like me, can still access Odin or recovery but no matter what we try we can't get the phone to actually fully boot.
SYMPTOMS:
-You can go into download mode and maybe in recovery
-When you try to wipe data in recovery the phone gets stuck and reboots eventually
-Flashing a firmware through odin doesn't do any good even when the flash was a success
-During the Flash through odin it may get stuck at data.img or fastoryfs depending on the firmware you're trying to flash
If your symptoms aren't the same as those, i would advise not trying this procedure
THE REASON FOR THE "BRICK"
It seems that during the factory reset or data wipe you made after flashing LQ5, the data partition got badly corrupted somehow, and because of that, neither CWM nor Odin can write or format this faulty data partition. This is why you can't boot into any rom.
What you need to do if you're in the same situtation i was into (make sure of it) is to flash a modified pit file which is gonna create a new data partition on your internal sdcard, leaving the faulty one aside, and thus getting a brand new data partition which is gonna make your phone work again, but at the cost of having a smaller internal SD. Other than that, your phone should work exactly as it did.
WARNING / BACKUP
By doing so, you're also repartitionning the internal sdcard, which will result in the loss of everything you have on it, to backup the content of your internal sdcard, you must follow the steps described in THIS THREAD which is the thread started by the man that found the solution to this problem. The thread is a galaxy note thread, but the backup procedure is the same.
Once you have backed up what you wanted to backup, and made sure you read everything carefully, you can proceed to the flashing of the modified pit file.
The zip containing the modified PIT files can be found in THIS THREAD at the end of the first post.
STEP BY STEP
-Put your phone into Download Mode
-Flash the modified pit using odin, NOTHING ELSE
-After pit flash, the phone will try to reboot, and will get stuck. Remove the battery
-Go into Download Mode.
-Flash a clean, unmodified, samsung firmware (like KI4) WITHOUT PUTTING ANY PIT FILE
-Reboot in stock recovery, do a factory reset
-Reboot phone
-Format internal sdcard
-You should be good to go
ALTERNATIVE WAY (NOT RECOMMENDED)
-Put your phone into Download Mode
-Flash the modified pit using odin, NOTHING ELSE
-After pit flash, the phone will try to reboot, and will get stuck. Remove the battery
-Go into Download Mode.
-Flash a custom kernel with Odin.
-Then Boot into recovery and install a rom from a zip which must be on your external SD
I hope this works for you as well as it did for me. Good luck, and congratulations to hg42 for finding a way to get our devices working again
edit: OP entirely changed his post since my response, rendering it incorrect.
Worked for me too
Tried everything was beginning to give up tried this and my phone works again thanks alot

Heeyyy!!!! Bro, i found an alternative for us. It worked for me so with you will work to!!!
Im from argentina and my english is not good. So, sorry for that.
Ok, do this:
1/ Download resurrection remix v2.5.3
2/ Flash siyha v3.3.2
3/ Enter to the recovery
4/ Go to "dual-boot options
5/ Select "install zip to second rom from external sd. Automatically siyah will create a second data partition.
6/ select the rom from the external sd and install it. Then restart and enter in recovery again
7/ go to "dual boot options / wipe second rom dalvik-cache.
8/ go to dual boot options / fix second rom permissions
9/ go to dual boot options / wipe second rom data cache
10/ reboot and you will see during boot the next reading: press home o volume button to enter to second rom.... so, press the home buttom and the phone will revive!!!!!!
I must say that every time the phone starts you have to choose to enter the second rom. This solution sucks, but at least your phone will work.
good luck

Have you tried flashing a samsung rom? Are you still on LQ5 kernel?
If this still fails after trying to flash a samsung rom using odin, i think you should indeed flash the original PIT, which will make things back the way they were before, even if it didn't work then
when i use Odin to install original rom , it stuck on data.img
and when I use recovery to wipe factory or cache , it stuck on formatting data
(( I used pit stock and i9100_u1_02_20110310_emmc_EXT4-patched-standard ))

arf man, you should have stick to the step by steps and just that. There is still little hope though, send a PM to hg42 explaining that you flashed his modified galaxy s2 pit file but that you did the same mistake again (that i did too, but only once) , which was to wipe data using LQ5 kernel. Basically i think you now have two ****ty data partitions, back to square one.
He might be able to build a new Pit specially for you to flash in which yet another data partition will be created, next to the one you just screwed.
I modified my post to make it even clearer that you shouldn't wipe data while using LQ5 kernel.
Good luck man

The file you need to flash is in the main folder and is called i9100_u1_02_20110310_emmc_EXT4-patched-standard.pit

You are my S2 saver! Thank you! Thank you!
Since Thursday, when i lost my S2 because of LQ5, i have been trying to find any possible solution through ODIN, but the same result: S2 stacked on logo screen.
Today i decided to send my S2 to Samsung, but the last minute i saw your thread.
I had nothing to loose so i decide to give it another try and I GOT MY PHONE BACK!
After formatting internal card i got back 9,54 Gb. I remember that i had 11Gb free before LQ5 but right now its not major problem.
Once more
Thank you!!!!!
So the situation is... I was trying to remove the shutter sound from my camera, and so I followed some steps from a guide, and went to rename the files in system/media/ui, and renamed 2 camera files and added .off at the end, I then rebooted my phone.... and now I'm in recovery mode.
Information: phone rooted, don't have CWM, downloaded titaniumbackup but never used. What are my options from here? Is there anyway to get access back to those files n rename them back? Is my only option factory reset? :/
Thanks ahead.

I held power, and back to recovery mode. I think its the stock recovery. Just has
Android system recovery (3e) then the options. My device was fine, until I edited those 2 files in the system folders.

After u update to latest firmware using odin all the data remains in the phone only the firmware and its content is overwritten so u should do complete reset from the phone itself post the update from odin
which will delete all the data u had B4 update and give u error free experience

Any errors in recovery when you make full wipe?
If you have a "emmc"error ... the flash of the phone is ruined and the is no software solution for this just hardware
If the are no errors try to flash the bootloader or root the phone (it will voids your warranty)and try to flash a custom rom
If the phone is not rooted and still have warranty .. send it to cusomer service centre..it will replace the mother board
Cheers

You should try to:
Download SM-N910C_WanamLite.OH4_BL_Modem.tar.md5.zip and SM-N910C_WanamLite.XXU1COH4.V3.0.NO-WIPE.zip from here
Put SM-N910C_WanamLite.XXU1COH4.V3.0.NO-WIPE.zip in your external sdcard
Reboot the phone in recovery mode. From TWRP go to Wipe/AdvancedWipe/ and tick DalickCache, System, Data, Internal Storage, Cache and "Swipe to Wipe".
Always from TWRP go back to the first page, hit "Install", search for SM-N910C_WanamLite.XXU1COH4.V3.0.NO-WIPE.zip in /external_sd and install it, after Wipe Dalvick and Cache.
Reboot in Download mode
In your PC launch ODIN and put SM-N910C_WanamLite.OH4_BL_Modem.tar.md5.zip in the AP button (untick autoreboot)
Connect the phone (in Download mode) to the PC via USB cable
Let it be recognized by ODIN and hit the start button.
Once successful flash, disconnect the phone from the PC, take out the battery, put it back in and turn on the phone.
It should solve your bootloops

When you download just the bootloader you have to put it in the BL button. But what I've linked is a modem/bootloader package and it has to be flashed from the AP button.
