I putted Cynagemod or whatever it's called, but now i want back everything ass stock phone. I don't want that cynagemod anymore. How can i do that?
Hi,
Go to "Sammobile" website -> Firmware Database -> choose your model and download the stock firmware
i did this too and need a full day to download 1.100 MB (very slow server if u don't have premium account @ sammobile)
Next Step go to recovery mode and wipe everything (maybe not needed but i do this for safety)
u need samsung usb driver and Odin Flash program
Start Odin (i use odin3 1.85) click "PDA" and choose your ROM File
be sure that ONLY "Auto Reboot" and "F. Reset Time" is checked nothing more in Options
Now boot your Phone into Download Mode (power+home+volume down) and connect it to your PC USB
Odin should show now in the left bottom message box that your Phone is connected!
Press Start and wait (5-10 minutes)
your phone should restart automatic after successfully flash
Done

Hello Xda Devs. I'm really new to android phones (I just switched from windows phone lately to try on low end android phone first). Since I heard that rooting are pretty awesome, I tried to root my phone by following these steps that I found over the net.
"This stage will be done on your phone so, switch your PC off.
1) Open Settings, go to Applications then Development and check USB Debugging.
2) Now reboot your phone and press VOL Up + Home + Power together during the booting.
3) The Recovery Mode will be opened. If you do not see the recovery mode then try the method no. 2 again.
4) In recovery mode use the Vol Up and Down buttons to navigate and the Home button to select.
5) Now select “Install Zip from SD card.”
6) Then select “Choose Zip from SD card” and find out and select the Zip previously downloaded.
7) The download process will start and will take more than 10 minutes.
8) After the completion of the update follow the next steps on recovery mode.
9) Then select “Wipe Data/Factory Reset”.
10) Now enable “Wipe Cache Partition”.
11) After that select “++++Go Back++++”
12) Reboot the phone and you shall get it rooted. "
I skipped Step 9 to 11. [Note: I didn't wipe out any data to prevent any data loss through the process). I followed the steps and managed to root my phone.
Then, I tried to download ICS for my SGY by following steps on another blog to change my phone to ICS. The steps given are :
"Process to Download Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 for Galaxy Y
Download Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 from here.
-Transfer this file to your Samsung Galaxy Y. It can be done by connecting device with computer via USB cable.
-If you are done with above, then next step is to boot your device to Recovery Mode. It can be done by pressing Volume Up +Volume Down + Power buttons together. Soon, an Android logo will surface on your device’s screen. This is the proof that you are in the Recovery Mode.
-Now navigate to the option that reads “install zip from SD card”. Don’t know how to navigate? Use Volume Keys!
-In the list that comes up, select the ROM file that you downloaded in the first step.
-Confirm the installation, and then wait for it to get finished.
-Go to main menu and select ‘reboot system now’.
-Your Samsung Galaxy Y will restart now. "
So far so good, then when it restart, my phone stuck on the animation mode. (Cynogenmod 9 animation).
Other than what I mention above, I did not install anything else and now I'm really confused. I'll attach a picture of the animation that I said. Please help. Thanks.
Before installing any custom rom u should always wipe data.

download any c.rom. . Wipe data and cache dn instal rom. . Also u can flash back to stock using odin.
To start off with we have no official ics for our device
there is cm9 but nothing works on it other than it boots
next to install any custom rom
go into cwm
wipe data wipe cache wipe system
Mount data mount cache mount system
flash rom zip
some roms for example cm7 require a specific kernel like percy#2 and extra steps
follow any instructions on the op of rom thread

Nothing wrong with the installation steps
U did everyhtng rite......but the thing is u didn't installed the suitable CM9 kernel
That is why it is said be sure that u did everything rite
Things u can do now
1-Flash Stock rom via odin,it will make ur phone as a fresh newly bought phone (browse for odin flash guide and stock firmware for galaxy y)
2-the easiest thing-Flash CM9 kernel I.e white kernel via odin.....and then ics will surely boot on ur sgy
^ is of no use bcoz ics cm9 has got many bugs its yet to be stable
Phew! That was a long explaination........
I need cookies now....I am hungry.....

Hi ALL,
Good day!
I'm new in an Android Phone and just Rooted my device yesterday using the KingRoot.
I just wondering how to use a custom ROM available here in XDA in my Samsung Note III.
If there's a link on where I can review or follow the procedure, could you please redirect me.
I've already looked/searched for it but unfortunately, I can't get the answers on my own.
thanks in advance!
Mark

You choose a custom rom you read and understand the rom and its instructions then flash .
Many roms have how to videos .
Basics
Download the Rom
Enter Recovery Mode
Do a Full Wipe
Install The Rom
Reboot - The first boot can take up to 10 min

thanks for your kindness.. :good:
Is there any link also in doing the flash.. (apology for spoon feeding)
I just don't know how or where to start.. lol
TIA!
First step should be install a custom recovery. For example TWRP. You can't install with stock recovery.
Google : twrp for note 3 xda
Then read, read and install it.
Here is the link, you can see video.
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2494245
Find a rom i development forums here and look for instructions there.
Steps....
-1. I am not responsible for any damage caused. This is how I learned and what I taught my friends using Sammy.
0. Backup all your data to SD card or PC.
1. go to https://twrp.me/Devices/ and search your device model and download the latest .tar file (something like 4.4.tar)
2. search download and install Kies in your PC, this is for getting all Samsung drivers.
3. search download and extract "odin 3.0.9" in a folder in your pc.
4. press Volume Down + Home + Power and get into Download mode (you'll have to press Volume Up if it asks to continue)
5. Now phone will show "Downloading", Run "Odin.exe" from odin folder and Connect your phone to PC via USB cable.
6. Odin will detect your phone in blue color in first slot, select the downloaded .tar file in Odin and click start
7. do not disconnect the phone as it will restart.
8. after restarting, remove phone. then shutdown.. press Volume Up + Home + power and get into recovery. (TWRP) (click Reboot System and use as normal)
9. Download your favorite (flashable zip of) ROM, click Wipe (select all in TWRP, will erase all data)
10. After successful wipe, click install, select ROM zip from SD card and follow onscreen instructions.
11. After install, go to Wipe or Advanced Wipe and "Clear Dalvik Cache"
12. Reboot System. Enjoy

Hipe by next week. It will work.. do you have any linka where to dowbload frimware aside frim sammobile?
It happened to me a lot, but yea let's start.
You might have noticed that the Tab 2 cables die quickly, even tho they should be "high quality".
They start only charging the device slowly as never, and the computer can't even recognize the tablet.
So what do you need to reflash the OS?
1. FlashFire from Chainfire (requires root, on Play Store)
2. Any file manager
[STOCK ROMS]
1. Download the rom you want and move it to your SD card using a file manager. I use FX File Manager, it's good luls
2. In FlashFire, add Wipe and select Cache and leave the other on options turned on.
3. Select the ROM. Voila, should work.
[CUSTOM ROMS]
1. Install the TWRP app
2. Make sure your tab is rooted
3. Install TWRP.
4. Get any rom. I used the 7.1.x one from unlegacy-android.
5. Flash it, clear dalvik, cache and data.
6. Voila, done!
Nice guide, I already did that before

First, go to the link provided https://samsungodin.com/ I would download V310.6 personally.. It must be run in a Windows Enviorment IE. Unzip Odin, then open and right click Icon, and run as administrator.. Put TWRP. zip in the AP slot. Under options in Odin uncheck reboot and reset, hit the start. When it says pass, unplug your phone, pull battery. But battery back in. Then hold Volume up, home, and the power button, and your phone will start in TWRP recovery.

TWRP is the custom recovery you flash in Odin, to replace stock recovery. You need that to install custom roms and mods.
Go to this link https://dl.twrp.me/klte/ I would download 3.0.2-1-ktle.img.tar. to your desktop. Open up Odin uncheck reset, and reboot. Place phone in download mode Volume down+home+power. Open up Odin choose AP find your file and insert, then hit start. When done pull battery, but battery back in then Volume up+Home+Power and you will boot into recovery.

Flash TWRP first in Odin.. Then what ever Rom you use, will already have root (some dev's might require you to install root as well separate from the ROM you use).. Put the ROM of your choice on your External SD card. Go to recovery wipe cache dalvik/cache, system, data, internal storage. This is why you but the ROM of your choice on a External sd card, because you will wipe the internal storage. Flash ROM and reboot.. Now of course follow the dev's install instructions, as you might have to do something different. But that is usually the normal process to flash a custom ROM.

Now of course follow the dev's install instructions, as you might have to do something different. But that is usually the normal process to flash a custom ROM.

Flash TWRP first in Odin.. Then what ever Rom you use, will already have root (some dev's might require you to install root as well separate from the ROM you use).. If you do not use those app, I just uninstall them period, through Titanium Back Up and Root.. Better yet you really should try flashing a custom rom, you won't have all that garbage.. I'm using this one
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/unified-development/rom-crdroid-t2860894
It runs great.. Give me a minute, I going to upload the files you need, so you do not have to go through the trouble of downloading them..

Put all three files on your external sd card.. Do a full wipe, data, system, cache, delvik/cache
1) Install the rom first (do not reboot yet)
2) Install gapps (do not reboot yet)
3) Then install SuperSu- reboot, and set up normal.
Be sure to give proper credit to the crdroid team..
