However when I connect my phone via USB to the PC. The MTP Options doesnt show up. It is also non existent in Settings under the General Tab as shown by the LG manual.
I looked here:
and here :
and here too:
but it is not to be seen. Any pointers would be appreciated thanks.

I have the same issue and the problem ia something wrong with the laf parition that "controls" various thing regarded to usb. To solve this problem i think if there is a way to root the phone without the pc or if there is a way to reset the laf partition. My phone is unrooted and have latest system update: 5.0.2

I updated it via the LG Software
It was updated via the LG software and I also rooted it. So I'm gonna do some research on the LAF partition, and update the thread on my findings. Peace.

If you fave rooted your device, you can restore laf partition using a terminal emulator and the correct laf img. Now i can't send you the link for the laf images for restoring.

The problem is that the device came wrong flashed.
They wanted to put Lollipop and caused a brick.
When you turn on the device immediately get the recovery TWRP with the following

}
When I connect the device to the computer in recovery mode I can not use the MTP for the same reason as shown in the image.
In the recovery, selecting the install mode, appears in storage: internal storage (0)
I can enter the download mode (bootloader) so even I have hopes of saving the device.
I used various tutorials to fix the device and none has worked.
I used the method with LG Launcher .. and nothing
with flashtool, various methods (kdz and TOT) ... and nothing
I used ubuntu but recognizes it as computed Lg G802 and that caught my attention.
I think I can not fix the device while the recovery not moutn the data.
never before he had had problems following their tutorials but I have not found a solution for this problem and I need your help.
THANKS IN ADVANCE

Can't boot VS980 into Download Mode

I'm trying to TOT my VS980 like I have countless times for replacements and for some reason the usual method to get into download mode doesn't want to work. I power the phone off fully, hold the volume up button, then plug in my USB. It says download mode for a moment but then goes to a black screen and my PC opens about 10-15 different windows telling me "I need to format the disk in drive E: before you can use it."

I've tried the usual things, uninstalling and reinstalling drivers and haven't had any luck in case its driver/PC related. The phone is currently running DR87s Euphoria 5.1.1 build and I have no issues with ADB working or getting into the devices file system when its booted.
Any suggestions? I've been looking around for quite some time but can't find much on my specific issue.
Right now you have bricked your phone, however all you have to do is download srk tools and unbrick your phone.

Not clear whether "trying" means you succeeded or failed. Given that ambiguity there is always this:
Flash a pure stock (Samsung factory) ROM using Odin and start from the beginning. You have nothing to lose as your phone was "hard reset"
Thanks for your concern but where can I download it easily cos I try downloading it from sammobile but no way

You might have to buy a membership there (sammobile) - I recently tried downloading with my freebie account and it didn't work. (It is possible that was due to my browser type or ad-blocker issue though. I was using both an off-beat linux browser and multiple ad blockers. Someone recently suggested that might be the trouble. I didn't investigate further.)
Do you know the android version and the firmware version?

Baseband Version Unknown/IMEI Unknown H915

Hi Guys. Having a heck of a time with this one. So yesterday my Cellular stops working. I figure its the sim go get a new one and same thing (both work fine in my old phone). Flashed Stock KDZ via LGUP and same thing. Searching this forum and online I am not really finding much. Basically my IMEI is showing unknown with a service Disabled icon top left of phone.
My Broadband is showing unknown as well
Here are some pics (Sorry taken with backup Potatoe phone.)
Any ideas?
