So guys, here I want to make a count of which variant of LG G4 models are having the most issues. Vote for your variant to see which region has got the most defective models.
Plus if I miss any variant, please inform me. I collected all these models from the web. So there might be some variations in those model no.
Can you stop with polls and other annoying new threads talking about defects and stuff?? This is the only forum I have seen so many different threads for same topic. And no phone does not have so many diffects. If you believe it does then go return it and get another one or just get another phone.

If you have problem with it, don't visit my thread & comment here. It's a general discussion forum. If I violate any XDA rules, let XDA say about it.
To my knowledge, we haven't seen a dedicated thread breaking down issues to their respective variants. I think this is a good idea.

Thanks for understanding my motives.
I have the AT&T variant and the only issue I am suffering from is the touch screen responsiveness.
I can't see how this is in the least useful. In order to get usable data about which is most defective, you'd have to know how many of each device were purchased. Otherwise, you have a number of defective or problematic units, but no basis for comparison to determine which is "most" defective. You need the total number of devices as well to produce a ratio or percentage of defective units. If you're looking for statistics, you're not going to get anything useful from this poll.
yeah poorly constructed. Would be better if I was a poll about what version you have, and if its defective. That would give you a percentage of each model type with fails.
H815... no issues at all. And I'm usually very critical of my phones.

And how do you plan to achieve anything with this non sense thread? Your poll requires every user to have every possible model and tell you which model had more defects. This is duplicate thread of 10 other duplicte threads of another duplicate threat talking about defective units. + how will results from this poll be useful to anybody? Every unit has issues, everywhere. A car a phone a plane nothing is 100% perfect.

Why isn't this thread deleted already?
You already have a poll thread for various issues. There's no need for another one. This poll is rather pointless, because people are only going to vote for the model that they own, so it's not going to provide any usable data.
We already have enough threads about the various issues people seem to be having. I feel it's getting a little out of control now.

software wise, this phone is built live a chevy but hardware wise this phone is made in china with lead taints by sweatshop children living in a chinese restaurants basement
Well maybe if batches of their phones didn't ship with hardware AND software problems we wouldn't be on here complaining.
Sorry to interrupt your intellectual discourse with our pedestrian problems. Please forgive me, my lord.
And why do people keep posting app questions in this forum? Last time I check there was an app forum for the g2.
Oh and if tmobile is sending bad batches of phones to people, why are you coming on a development forum to moan about it? Call tmobile and if your issue doesn't get resolved, it must be too stupid to solve. People need to man up and stop crying. Its a great phone, if you don't like it you should of returned it via buyers remorse. Whinners

Welcome to the internet, I have a feeling you aren't going to like your stay here
Seriously though, there is no specific sub forum for people who are having issues, so they all get placed into general. Frankly, one of the nice things about forums is if you have an issue with your device, you can come online and see if anyone else is also. It lets you confirm if you have a bad unit or if they are all bad. Sometimes someone will post up a fix. Some people will get carried away with complaining, but that is how forums for tech devices have evolved to work. If you don't like it, tough, that is just the way it is.
Given that this phone is relatively new, this is completely normal to see the forums being overwhelmed with people posting their problems. Give it a few months for issues to be worked out and you'll see it calm down. Then you guys can get back to your "intellectual discussions"
This is the best place to get answers so no wonder people post their issues here.
Sent from my T-Mobile G2 using XDA App
Look....I agree with discussing issues with a device but why carry it out? Nobody here has magical powers to fix hinges which seems to be the main topic since the release of the device. We are all aware of the issue and some of us don't have bad parts while others do. Just take the device back where it was purchased and you'll be taken care of. Why ***** about it which is what some of the members are doing. They are on their 4th device and still *****ing. If they have an issue with a device multiple times than I guess it's time for a different make and model. This is a good venting thread. THANX.

Polls here show that the vast majority of owners do not find the Note faulty. However, there are threads here which seem in denial of these polls and are still claiming that the Note is faulty. Thank goodness for the polls so that we know that these faulty claims are not supported by the vast majority of owners.

Yes, because when there are threads claiming that all Notes are faulty then it is only fair to the Note to point out that polls here suggest otherwise.
Can you link us to the claims that all the notes are faulty, im wondering my self.
I dont see how that poll can change the fact that i got 3 notes in the row, all with 2+ dead pixels
10% faulty rate from that poll is not high?
Plus, how accurate do you think a simple poll can show? I mean, instead of voting 3 times for my 3 faulty phones...i can only vote once!!
My believe is...if you are lucky enoug to get a perfect phone...please be kinder to us unlucky ones who REALLY had a stressful times with this problem, and stop starting new threads like this to try and make us feel worse. Please try and put yourselves in our shoes

I saw a ton of reviews and everyone loved their units. I came to the forum and I saw tons of complaints. I didn't think it was right. I started the poll to see of everyone hated their device.
You guys might be getting all the duds from a single batch from a single seller or single batch directly from Samsung. I feel and see now that most people don't have any issues which is the most logical thing. But this forum only had negative posts.
I think the poll helped me decide to buy the phone. while all the other threads discouraged me from it. That's not normal. So I took the plunge.

Thanks to your poll we know the vast majority of owners are not experiencing the faults suggested by the loads of complaints on this forum. It won't stop loads more complaints but at least owners and prospective buyers now know that the complaints do not represent the experience of the vast majority of owners.
Thread closed
Forums generally attract people who are looking for solutions to problems they are experiencing. That is why you see a higher number of complaints. Arguing with people who have had issues is extremely counterproductive and only leads to contention. Ignore the poster who don't post according to your own desires.
We have a development section for every carrier, how about one for any carrier.
In my vision this would currently contain all the efforts of trying to make this possible, and in the future, all universal roms(which we will hopefully have).
Also I feel that this would promote development of a way to do this.
For those who make separate threads in every carrier section because they care enough to do so, wouldn't actually have to do so. What a great way to say thanks!!! (and give them more time to develop the rom instead of posting multiple threads.

Bad idea man. IDK how familiar you are to flashing roms and mods, but it sounds like you know that you can't flash a Sprint rom on an AT&T device (Etc etc). That's great and all, but for everyone that knows how to flash the right rom, there are 20 people who have no idea that a bad flash will brick their phone, and those people would be looking at an "all USA carriers" forum picking the coolest looking rom, not even paying attention to warnings.
Heck, take a look at all the "Omg, I bricked my phone flashing an international rom. Halp me!" threads. There's already a problem, and you have to go to a completely section of the forums to find those. Putting them one click away is just asking for hundreds of whiny "I borked my phone" threads. At least until a one mod fits all method is made standard.
So, no. I don't think it's a good idea. In a perfect world, it would be amazing, development from all carriers would get the same attention, and everyone would be happy. However, we've gotta cater to the lowest common denominator right now. Sorry guy.

Just sayin, lol.
fine, ill suggest this poll again when there is a way to have universal roms.
Nice to see my article having an impact lol
Frankly, for now, the best way is to keep them separate. ROM devs can always release them in each forum if they want to make ROMs for all 4 carriers (there can't be that many differences).
Even if a universal ROM method was released, I would still vote to keep them separate. ROMs are, by far, the most popular development in the forums, but you've still got kernels, mods, scripts, etc that won't have universal compatibility. Better to keep em separate as to not confuse people (because we all know someone is gonna release something without specifying which version it's for and someone is gonna flash it) and cause problems.
Maybe if there was a way to make everything universal, maybe. As it stands, I'd rather see a ROM dev simply have to copy/paste his ROM thread across 4 sections rather than have to see [T-Mobile][Sprint][AT&T][Verizon] at the beginning of every thread.
My 2 cents
Why don’t we give this a try?
I don't keep my phones long. I'm just looking for suggestions on where to post a "For Sale" ad that'll attract the type of people that'd be interested in a device like this? (ie xda users and other forum users) Is there a forum out there that still has a classifieds section? Kinda sucks that xda's is gone. I'd post it locally, but I believe that the lack of knowledge among the normal phone using population would be a wash. Most people who ask what kind of phone it is say "who makes it, Samsung"? after I tell them oneplus one.
Thanks
Sorry if I hurt anybodies feelers for posting this.

I'd beg to argue the complete opposite - this poll is posted in the general forum, so any S6 Edge owner will come across it. Compared to the g+ poll, where you'd have to search pretty heavily to find it (at least in my case) which would generally imply you have that issue yourself - I don't spend my free time searching the internet for problems with the Flex 2 or Moto x Hopefully when more and more people get their devices we can start to paint a bigger picture about this whole situation.

The poll is critically flawed however.
It presumes those voting actually have an S6 Edge.
The fact anyone can tick yes or no without validating they actually have an S6 Edge makes any result scientifically untenable.
Anything so open to abuse without validation of proof will never be capable of truly being representative, or accurate. In a court of law, your evidence would be inadmissible.
Additionally it assumes that equal amount of people who get good and bad devices would be looking at a thread for pre-scratched screens when history as proved that those people with issues are far more likely to search and find threads than those which do not have issues with their device. It's called the distortion field of truth.
So as interesting as poll results like this are - they sadly will never ever be really indicative of a whole.

I never said these polls are completely accurate and I completely agree with what you're saying. But since there's no easy way to ensure people who are voting actually have the device, I feel like it's better to have some poll going than have nothing at all, because I highly doubt Samsung will have users "take a survey".
And maybe it's just me, but I still seem to have just *a little* faith in humanity - I like to think that people aren't being complete a-holes and ruining the polls just for fun -_-
Sadly one more for the yes choice.
