Model#: "TV500I" vs Model#: "Nexus Player" - Nexus Player Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have multiple Nexus Players. And noticed that some have a marked Model number of "TV500I" and others have a marked model number of "Nexus Player". On the side of the box.
Any significant difference? Why do the model numbers differ?

GT-P7510MAYXAB is this a US model?

I've seen an advert for a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 with the model No GT-P7510MAYXAB, the ad is on a UK website. As far as I'm aware the UK version hasn't yet been released, so I'm presuming that the Tab advertised is most likely an import. Is it possible to tell where it's imported from using the model No?
P7510 seems to be the US wifi only model.
In Germany we can only preorder the P7500 which seems to be the 3G version (UMTS etc.) for around ~580€ (damn $ to € 1:1 conversion!). Maybe shops made a mistake because of the lacking infos, usually the 3G version should cost 100€ more
But still, Samsung product infos are a complete mess.

That's the US model. If you search it on Google it brings up links to places like BestBuy and Tiger Direct. I suppose you can. The back of mine says GT-P7510MA
for the U.S. models.. MAY indicates that it is the 16 gb grey version. MAV is the 32gb grey. UWY is the code for 16gb white. UWV is the 32gb white.

I have found six tf101 b50

i have seen there are people looking for transformer with older sbk. if somebody is interested today i was in media markt in gütersloh, germany and i have seen there six piece of transformer, i took a look at the serial number and there was all the six with b50 serial number. If you are near gütersloh and you are searching for, take a look there.
Sent from my Transformer TF101G B80(stock) using Tapatalk
Retail stores that don't go through them like hot cakes at present are also more likely to have them; like the Microcenter in Duluth, GA, USofA. Which is where my B50 comes from
How do you tell the model?
Does the retail box show it?
Yes. Look at the white label on the box. It should show you the serial.
I bought mine from Currys in London at the end of September and it was a B5O. But then the staff didn't even know what it was (they are so well trained!)
What was the price there?
Can someone explain me why this bXX matters?
Only B40, B50 and B60 are definitely rootable.
rapman: Thanks! I'm living 20 km away from Gütersloh, but already got a Transformer one week ago. Will tell my brother, he wants one too
Because B70 and B80 cannot be rooted(Custom ROMS cannot be installed).

It's the serial number of the TF.
BxO...... where x = a number. ie B5O... B6O... ect...
The number after the B indicate which month it was build in
B5O = May
B6O = June
B7O = July and so on
Where this become important is mid way in July (B7O...) Asus changed the SBK
making it un-rootable with all method currently available.
That's why some peoples look for B6O or older to insure they can root the TF.
Some B7O are still rootable if it was an early July build.
I assume that regardless of the serial number, they all have the same hardware correct?
It appears so.
Just a note: some of the B50's had severe lightbleed issues. I returned one B50 due to this reason.

64GB 3G Samsung Gaaxy Note 10.1

Found this on Ebay Australia - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Samsung-...51181232414?pt=US_Tablets&hash=item3a7b91711e
I want one....
Though reading through the specs they seem a little bit wrong, what do you think?
Either its just been launched or the add is fake for couple of reasons US does not have a 3G version and second its list OS as 4.1 which is JB which is not out yet so do not think this is a gen add
Alot of the specs are wrong. It smells fishy, for example it lists ram as 1GB but my note has 2.
Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk 2
Lots wrong. Camera, memory, comes with case? All seems odd. But the oddest part, why the work PHOTOSHOP in the description? Are you just buying a picture?
I also chked ebay. Sellers seems to be taking buyers for a ride. I found a 32gb Note 10.1 with WiFI +3G. But fine print revealed that it is a 16GB Note with 16GB Micro SD Card. There is no 32/64Gb Note with wifi+3G in US Mkt.
Yeah I've seen that... But it is the genuine Oz ebay, but saying that ebay can be host to some dodgy sellers too....
Maybe there's a different model in Korea....
I do have a 32GB 3G note 10.1 however, but only found it from 1 seller here in Oz - JB Hifi...
And it comes with two batteries..... This cannot be real.

There never will be any 3G Note in the U.S. market as Samsung doesn't sell unlocked devices here. Any 3G Note sold in the U.S. was imported from somewhere else. A Note passed through the FCC with AT&T's LTE bands but that's been it so far. And I'm sure the calling and messaging features will be disabled because, well, it's AT&T.

I bought my Nexus 7 32gb from a brick & mortar store one week ago. The first two of the SSN is C9.
Sent from my Nexus 7
They all function the same. From my understanding.
The latest versions are in this order ..
the c90 was out then the cao.
But with that said the cao was out before the 3g version of the tablet and there are some c90 3g (go figure )
I do know that from some of the c80 to all of the c90 and cao have a different power management chip.. It was just a
manufacture change NO CHANGED FUNCTION. The newest boot-loader was changed for this reason only as well.
This is documented on a google + tech group. and there is a post on here someplace talking about the new pm chip
and boot-loader change.
With the above said i do not believe there is anything different in the device function as the first c60 .People have reported
that there is faster and different memory/ storage chips in the 32 gb version but i have not Confirmed this anywhere.
So what version you get as long as you Do not have the screen lift issue (its random all models . less on newer ones )
You will get the same device as everyone else.
If any of the above is incorrect Anyone is welcome to Chime in...
I have had a c60 8 gb... a c70 and c80 a16 gb version.. The one i have now is cao 32 gb.. They all ran about the same.
Long story as to why so many .
Hope this helps you..
thank you, my biggest worry was getting one with the screen lift issue
It's C7O, not C70.....
likewise for other serial numbers..
Beamed from my Grouper.
I just bought a 32GB Wifi only Nexus7 at a local electronics store. (HEM Expert)
It has as SN beginning with CBO.
So I guess it is pretty new stock.
Just got a 32GB Nexus 7 from my locals Staples store. Wanted a 16GB, but they are all sold out at the Staples stores near me. The manager said, they can never keep the Nexus tablets in stock; did not know these are so popular. My serial number begins with cc0, so this looks to be a really new shipment.
That's "CCO" then (c-c-ooh)
Indeed very fresh batch
Thanks for the correction. It looks and works fine so far. Does feel rather cheap though.

I have CBO here
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
CBO here, 32GB, badly washed out screen with poor contrast, returning it tomorrow but they are out of stock, so gonna have to wait for more to come in
Box says C90 but my device says 015. Weird.

Your box should have one line beginning CCSN:015 ( displayed as the serial number in Settings>About tablet>Status) and a 2nd line beginning CSN:C9O which is the Asus serial number. These numbers are also on bar code stickers inside the case with "CCSN" being replaced with "UUID"
CBO here in Malaysia
3G 32GB
The silver frame is not proper attach to the body...
CBO philippines
4g 32G
working fine..

Is this the US model?

I am looking to buy this at JET.COM. Want to make sure its the US model of axon 7. https://jet.com/product/ZTE-AXON-7-...e-55-4GB-RAM/e71750c351a64e9d8cd0833a22de7362
Yes. Jet.com is a US company owned by Walmart.

So what? That still doesn't answer the question. Jet.com sells items from other countries, just as Wal-Mart does.
In the listing it says A7G331. Is that specific to U.S.or is that an umbrella model number for this phone?

Er, what? I did answer the question:
Yes.

The second sentence is merely stating that yes, JET.com is a legit site.
(And Wal-Mart sells non-US phones? I didn't know that, will have to see what they offer when I get a chance.)

The second sentence seemed to be your rationale for saying yes, when it's not proof.
I've never bought from Jet.com but their model is similar to Amazon where various goods are sold online at discount. Amazon sells European phones, so I wouldn't be surprised if Jet.com did especially if the bands were "compatible" to U.S. carriers.
Whereas people specifically want U.S. Axon 7 model due to better audio.
It probably is the U.S.model, but just being an online discount site owned by another U.S.company doesn't guarantee that.

JET.com lists the LTE bands for the US model (some of which are not present in the other models), and the the part number "A7G331" is used by the other major retailers (Best Buy/B&H/Newegg/etc) to refer to the US model of the A7.
@borijess : While JET.com is not an "official" ZTE outlet, and therefore is not officially part of the Passport 2.0 warranty program, some people on Reddit have found that you can get your JET.com invoice to generate through Newegg (which is an official outlet), so you might still get the warranty. https://www.reddit.com/r/Axon7/comments/56uuru/if_you_ordered_from_jetcom_and_are_worried_about/
I called jet.com. They said it was the us version which is coming from newegg.
