Sprint Note 4 OE1 Firmware - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey there everyone. I was just doing a search to help someone out who has taken the OE1 update who then flashed a BOB7 rom. They're now stuck in download mode only and unable to get anywhere (as we all know, odin back to BOB7 from OE1 firmware isn't possible due to new security features) and so I was thinking he could try odin to go back to stock OE1 firmware. Unfortunately i couldn't find the stock firmware for OE1 anywhere (sammobile, etc). Soooo i was wondering if anyone has found the stock firmware anywhere yet for the Sprint variant of the Note 4 to see if that will help him.
I'm not even sure if it's possible to odin the OE1 stock firmware either with the new security measures in place.
Thanks for your help!

THIS thread can be closed as the OF5 tar is available on sammobile.com. Thanks!

Yes because thats upgrading from OE1 to OF5.
Sammobile has OF5 in their firmware section, as well as multiple links in the General Section in the Sprint forum ( /note-4-sprint )youll be fine with no issues upgrading to OF5

That is the update for GT-19505 which is the LTE International version of the S4. Unless you really want to brick your device, go ahead with the odin flash.
The official 4.3 build for the SGH-I337 will come out in a couple of days and I advise you to wait until you get the OTA update for it.
EDIT: Plus this is not a leak, the official MJ7 build for the International versions were released a couple of days ago.

A little reading would show you that an MJ6 leak (4.3 specifically for the AT&T SGH-I337) is available and posted in the "General" section. But as the last poster in this thread mentioned, you should wait until the official version is released in a couple of weeks. Flashing the firmware of another phone will guarantee you a brick.
I suggest you read all of the "pinned" threads in the "General" and Q & A sections and then read the first page or two worth of threads in the same sections in order to get a better idea of what it is you should or should not put on your phone before you do anything to it. It doesn't matter what experience you do or do not have with prior phones, it is important to learn about this one specifically if you are going to be modding it or even just using it. Good luck.
I'm on the mj6 leak and its very stable but there are bugs that need to be worked out first. Wait a couple more weeks if you do not care about root and want 4.3 if you can't wait than try the leak out for yourself.

Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't be updating via OTA anytime soon. Last thing you need is to go from MF3 w/safestrap to MJ7 wo/safestrap. Might want to wait a bit until someone can have a look at it to make sure it doesn't break anything. Maybe i'm just paranoid though.
Samsung OTA's.........................increasing the value of my MDL phone every time they appear.
Well it all depends on the user of the phone. Maybe he doesn't care about root or custom recovery.

Why come to a development site if you don't care about root or recovery. Or why ask about "leaked" firmware? The phone will update itself to the next firmware as soon as it is available just fine on its own for people that don't care about modding. The problem is that people are interested in root recovery and modding, but unfortunately, they don't take time to read about things before they try them.
So warnings like the ones in this thread about not having root or custom recovery available or what happens when the wrong firmware is flashed to a phone have to keep being repeated again and again.
I am betting that the other problem for those that took the "Leaked MJ6" may have issues updating as well once the OFFICIAL update from ATT comes out. The phone will think it is on the newest firmware at that time and probably won't automatically update. Next will be to see IF we get a OFFICIAL tar of the MJ6 for those that did the MJ6 leak so they can update to a less buggy/bugless version. So to me it would be best to wait for the update if you want MJ6. Or keep MF3 and use safestrap until the OFFICIAL is in a tar format or has a safestrap version.
Look how long it took for someone to upload a MF3 OFFICIAL tar.

The problem with MF3 was that there was no leak. All of the files were available to create a TAR except for the bootloader files. You see, once the OTA is dl'd to the phone the bootloader becomes useless to anyone else. The bootloader file(s) have to come from an official firmware source (even if it is a leak of official firmware). It took a leak of the SMART restore MF3 file to obtain the bootloaders. Ofcourse, the SMART leak had all of the files needed so nothing had to be created. Hopefully, the difference with MJ6 is that a leak already exists that includes the official bootloader files. In theory, all that should need to be done is to take the bootloader files from the leak and put them with the OTA files from the official OTA (before it is installed to the phone) and then create the Odin-able TAR file. Basically, creating an official TAR for the AT&T 4.3 release. This all assumes that the official OTA doesn't include a method to block the leakes MJ6 bootloader files...basically, a double q-fuse increment situation. I don't see that happening. In the past, leaked firmware updates have always had compatible bootloader files with their official counterparts. but anything is possible. This should be all we need. Of course, another SMART leak of the 4.3 SMART files would always help. Also, if 4.3 becomes available for the the AT&T version via KIES3, it should be possible to pull the needed files from it, but MF3 was not available, maybe 4.3 won't be either.

[Q] Cannot Uppdate Galaxy ATnT S4-I337 via Kies

Hi Everyone. I'm having an issue. I have a non rooted S4 and upon hearing of the release of the new Jellybeans 4.3 I decided to do an OTA which failed as the phone informed that no updates were available just yet. I tried using Kies and got a message saying my device current firmware version isnt supported to update firmware via keys. I running 4.2.2 n my device status says official. Model number is sgh-1337.
I entered *#1234# n this is what I saw AP: 1337UCUAMF3, CP: 1337UCUAAMF3, CSC: 1337ATTAMF3
Given that info can anyone provide some insight as to why I cant get an update especially via Kies? Thanks.
I was thinking about reinstalling a stock 4.2.2 atnt rom using Odin in an attempt to maybe fix whatever the problem is as the only modifications the phone has undergone is carrier unlocking via a professional. Help please!
I already downloaded odin 1.85 - 3.9 n got a stock rom from a link that is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261573 titled I337UCUAMDB_I337ATTAMDB_ATT.zip. Just need some advice before I progress. Thanks.

Kies does NOT have the MF3 firmware OR the 4.3 Firmware available. Do NOT try using kies.
Take a look around this forum BEFORE DOING ANYTHING WITH ODIN. You have MF3 Firmware. If you try to flash 4.2.2 MDL or MDB you will brick your phone.
You CAN find a MF3 Odin package in the ATT forums. You can use that to flash the mf3 in Odin to try to fix your phone.
Next if you want the 4.3 Update take a look at the post to go from mf3 to mj9, then look around for the mk2 update as well. Find out what you need to do to flash them in stock recovery.
AGAIN DO NOT TRY FLASHING ANYTHING OLDER THAN MF3 ON YOUR PHONE...

Thanks RockRatt but what is MF3 and how did it get on my phone? UI was looking through the various CSC codes for the galaxy s4 n saw none like that. Additionally what are MJ9 and MK2? ? I'm kinda lost.

Is there any way to downgrade from official 4.4.2 to older version?

so i tried it and now i have soft bricked s4 . now i'm downloading 4.4.2 firmware to back it to live
I can't find any solution for downgrade , so it's not possible?
i want to unlock it , that's why i need older version of firmware ...
or will this work on 4.4.2?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2415587
You can only download by custom Roms but not by official tar. Once on 4.4.2 you cannot go back via tar. And search that thread. Your question about unlocking on 4.4.2 has already been answered.

S4 Back to Stock, TowelRoot NC1(I Think)

Right now I am running a AT&T Galaxy S4 rooted with towel root 4.4.2, and I have to send in my phone for repair because the screen is messed up. I think it is running the NC1 bootloader, as under Setting->About Device-> Baseband version and it is i337UCUFNC1. I have looked over the ODIN back to stock guides and do not see a stock rom for the NC1. Was wondering if its alright to use the NB1 update or should I be looking for something else. The build number is KOT49H.I337UCUFNC1. Thank you for any help.

There is no full firmware for NC1. We only have an update over NB1.
You can safely flash NB1 using Odin.
Gotcha, thank you for the clarification .
So I can grab any NB1 stock file? Also is there any reason why not to grab the file from Sam Mobile?

Just used ODIN to flash my Retail Note 3 to MJE, using the Full Stock firmware in the OP.
If I flash it to the Full Stock NC4 and am not happy, can I again re-flash back to MJE?
Thanks.

I am currently using another thread to assist me in unbricking my device and using ODIN in order to restore to factory settings. I am a novice at best and I was referred to your thread in order to download the tar file for my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 SCH-I535 4.4.2 and the links are no longer working in this particular thread. Does anyone know where to find the correct file to use in ODIN to fix my phone? THANK YOU SO MUCH!

My phone is unrooted and seems to be working fine now. I did it through the app itself then checked with a root checker. After this once I restarted my phone it still shows the custom unlock sign on the samsung screen. Binary count is 0. Should I go into recovery and reboot or wipe phone to start fresh? What will get rid of that custom unlock?
