Hello!
I'm parasmi from the Galaxy Mini Forum.
Just want to share this mod to the Galaxy Ace users
This mod adds customization to statusbar clock, battery, and signal. It also includes Battery Bar and will enable you to change statusbar background color and transparency (needs root access). It's accessible via Setings > Statusbar Tweaks
I don't have an Ace but I tested it on my phone using your DDKQ8 firmware. No guarantee in will work on other firmwares.
As always, flash at your own risk! Backup is a must!

Installation notes:
-Again, your firmware should be DDKQ8
-You should know if you have an odex or de-odex firmware
-You only need to install 1 zip file from the attachment. It will depend if you are using CWM or Stock Recovery AND if you have an odex or de-odex system
If the zip file doesn't work, try manual installation -
1. Extract the contents of the appropriate zip file
2. Using Root Explorer, copy the extracted APKs to your phone's /system/app/ folder. Override files if prompted
3. Set permissions as attached
4. Reboot
5. To use custom fonts, create a folder /system/TEAM/font/ and place any font file a rename it to 'clock_font.ttf'. Set permissions as attached

I use Lovetz's Odexed CyanogenMod 7.2-cooper-KANG-RC1-Android 2.3.7 on DDKQ8, and installed this in a hurry (cause I've been hungering for transparent status bar for a long time). But after reboot, I lost settings option from the menu. As you adviced, I used odex patch and its an odexed Rom over DDKQ8 base, so whats wrong? Its not for CM7?
I am ported a stock based rom with following instructions but my zip gives bad zip error what can ı do ım bored with it
does it give a status code or just bad zip installation aborted
status 7 - bad updater script
status 0 - wrong update binary
bad zip installation aborted - rezip everythiing properly with winrar normal compression zip

Thanks i did it im ported touchwiz resurrection 7.1 because 9.5's RIL is broken but when i open rom same thing RIL broken too on 7.1

do you have a sim lock - if so you need to add extra things to the build.prop so the sim unlock dialogue appears
or make sure you are using the correct ril with kernel you are using

well it depends what baseband you are on and you ported to
try different ril files or change kernel
make sure build.prop is correct
logcat and learn how to read it
ril files

I replaced the updater script of this rom with the one attached in that post , but when trying to flash the new rom zip it says "unable to find updater script " . Is this correct path ?

I will try again .I have downloaded the script again .
Edit :- Turned out to be a noob mistake . Successfully installed as a secondary ROM with replaced script . Thanks , now testing this ROM

ROM Installation process
1) Go to TWRP based recovery.
2) FULL WIPE is highly recommended!
3) Install the zip file from SDcard.
4) Swipe to Install.
5) Wait!
6) Reboot.
7) Hurry to Camera Settings and set from 9.6MP to 8.0MP
8) Flash the updated Camfix.zip (Thanks to @KoSett)
9) Thats it! Enjoy!!

I have g530f, (sim doesnt work) If you can test it would be great? (But i build it for g530f) If it doesnt work, ill try to port it for g530fz, but right now i have my exams going on..

I installed Unbuntu, used kitchen and then i put some build.prop tweaks, Thats it! The guide really worked great for me!
And yeah i also had to replace wpa supplicant to fix "Cannot connect to network" error..

I currently porting 530F custom kernel to work on android 6.0.
Stuck on bootloop.

Build props tweak doesn't work like adsbloker's thread.
If you add from him you will get no internet connection.
Try simply first
Then add nd test .
For camera replace /system/bin/mmcameraqdaemon
Is it working on 530H ?

It downloads fine but when i try to extract it , shows corrupt zip or file error and also in twrp it shows corrupt zip and im SM-G530H XXU

mmcameraqdaemon replaced cam still not working, now shows "Camera failed" and not "Mediaserver failed"
About SIM error..
It shows no service but the sim is detected i can see my sim's Carrier in the sim toolkit, And when i go to settings > mobile networks the "com.android.phone has stopped" message pops up force closing the settings app.
Hey, im currently using an AICP rom and i keep getting " ERROR: 7 " when flashing different roms now.
Succesfully managed to flash: mshoaib7's AICP , ED-300's CM 13
Failed: Stock, RR-N, RR 5.8.1[OMS], LineageOS-14.x.x, Tesla-N, AOSP-EXTENDED
I keep getting the same error whenever i flash other roms, so im stuck with AICP right now.
I have attached screenshots, build.prop and default.prop just in case.
Please help :fingers-crossed:

bro try this
open the zip that u r facing the problem
then click on META-INF then click on com then click on google then on android and then on updater-script and open it with notepad or any text editor u have
then delete the first line i.e get_device_compatible....
and save it and then flash..

Couldnt find that line.. I just added a true condition to the device checking thing and bypassed it. Thanks anyway.
Change the TWRP to 2.8.7.7 and try ..

bro MIUI rom take more then 10 min to boot up so wait till it get booted
