Hello!
I'm parasmi from the Galaxy Mini Forum.
Just want to share this mod to the Galaxy Ace users
This mod adds customization to statusbar clock, battery, and signal. It also includes Battery Bar and will enable you to change statusbar background color and transparency (needs root access). It's accessible via Setings > Statusbar Tweaks
I don't have an Ace but I tested it on my phone using your DDKQ8 firmware. No guarantee in will work on other firmwares.
As always, flash at your own risk! Backup is a must!

Installation notes:
-Again, your firmware should be DDKQ8
-You should know if you have an odex or de-odex firmware
-You only need to install 1 zip file from the attachment. It will depend if you are using CWM or Stock Recovery AND if you have an odex or de-odex system
If the zip file doesn't work, try manual installation -
1. Extract the contents of the appropriate zip file
2. Using Root Explorer, copy the extracted APKs to your phone's /system/app/ folder. Override files if prompted
3. Set permissions as attached
4. Reboot
5. To use custom fonts, create a folder /system/TEAM/font/ and place any font file a rename it to 'clock_font.ttf'. Set permissions as attached

I use Lovetz's Odexed CyanogenMod 7.2-cooper-KANG-RC1-Android 2.3.7 on DDKQ8, and installed this in a hurry (cause I've been hungering for transparent status bar for a long time). But after reboot, I lost settings option from the menu. As you adviced, I used odex patch and its an odexed Rom over DDKQ8 base, so whats wrong? Its not for CM7?

@footwork*: I can open all my files - what do you mean with output-file and where do you get this errory?
however some steps are not explained as in the instructions on which your tool is based... Could you update them? I'll make some screenshots tomorrow to show you exactly what I mean

Try
The biggest problem you can have is bootloop so simply restore a backup if the rom doesn't boot

Im using your tool and porting sense roms from the Sensation to the Amaze phone, everything seems to work till I get to zipping up the rom, after the zip window close it tells me: error occured during installation of vm
could not reserve enough space for object heap
could not create the java virtual machine
any help thank you

I think this is because you don't have enough space on the hard disk but i never had this error
Edit: ok i retried my tool and signing the rom i received your same error.
I will fix it asap

Hello everyone, made an account just so I could firstly thank the guys who made it possible for me to unlock this bootloader and root my vzw note 3 after 2 years. Now then on to my question. I bought this phone in the US but family things caused me to move to Jamaica. I was wondering, what roms can I get working with the phone while I'm not using a Verizon sim card? Is any version of CM13 currently compatible?

So for the record. I got CM13 to work after changing the updater script to hltevzw where it said hltexxx anf changing SM-N9005 to N900V. Data, SMS, calls work. Haven't tested LTE.
Remember the sim I am using is a non vzw sim

all you have to do is delete the device recognition in update-script, then zip the rom again

you didnt link to the exact rom you are using.
some ppl say cm13 and they are actually using an unofficial build by a seperate dev team then team cyanogenmod
you never mentioned what twrp recovry you are on or are you on Philz?
by "device recognition in updater-script" are you talking a specific area inside updater-script it self or just delete a file called updater script?
Could be mistaking but look for cm13 for the SM-N9005 is what I get from reading his post about editing

twrp 2.8.6 or 3.0.2?

um ok, im using music of life n5 port for vzw, im on 5.1.1 and i use twrp.
you have to extract update-script from the rom, then open it in text editor and delete the code that detects the divice, etc.
go to the Rom zip and extract from META-INF/com/google/android/ the update-script then upload it to onedrive, google drive, dropbox, mega, etc and send me a link to it or upload it to this thread or idk, so i can edited for you

Used open gapps nano and twrp err i dont remember. Used flashify and clicked the top latest one. I'll check though.

my gps wasnt working right so im having to flash all the way back to stock OF1 and have to root and retail to dev bl unlock too.
anyhow this time im going to backup my gps.conf and my apn settings but use apn backup tool...i forget exact tool name
then im going to update to twrp 3.0.2.0 or w/e and make a twrp backup
at this point ill start messing with the updater script etc....
my gps i hope gets fixed by going back to stock

ROM Installation process
1) Go to TWRP based recovery.
2) FULL WIPE is highly recommended!
3) Install the zip file from SDcard.
4) Swipe to Install.
5) Wait!
6) Reboot.
7) Hurry to Camera Settings and set from 9.6MP to 8.0MP
8) Flash the updated Camfix.zip (Thanks to @KoSett)
9) Thats it! Enjoy!!

I installed Unbuntu, used kitchen and then i put some build.prop tweaks, Thats it! The guide really worked great for me!
And yeah i also had to replace wpa supplicant to fix "Cannot connect to network" error..

Stuck on bootloop.

Build props tweak doesn't work like adsbloker's thread.
If you add from him you will get no internet connection.
Try simply first
Then add nd test .
For camera replace /system/bin/mmcameraqdaemon
Is it working on 530H ?

It downloads fine but when i try to extract it , shows corrupt zip or file error and also in twrp it shows corrupt zip and im SM-G530H XXU

mmcameraqdaemon replaced cam still not working, now shows "Camera failed" and not "Mediaserver failed"
About SIM error..
It shows no service but the sim is detected i can see my sim's Carrier in the sim toolkit, And when i go to settings > mobile networks the "com.android.phone has stopped" message pops up force closing the settings app.

Problem with the meta-inf. I'm creating a new zip.

Try it as suggested and no luck, doesn't even go into the bootloader. I notice when is extracting the image and installing it, goes pretty fast compare to the Yamr original. Makes me think that is no even installing the image. I did check the system and internal Sdcard and it seems like nothing got installed. Hopefully this will help and Thx for the fast response.
