SURELY NO .
You can't also install RM-820 ROM ON RM-821 because of little driver different even both of them are Nokia and both of them are Lumia 920
So don't think about it

Just install the latest WMDC update.

I don't think this is that. This seems to be a CMDA messaging driver. Not sure about the application or use of it but who knows. On my leo it has options for switching to CMDA, GMS 850/2100 or 850/1700. Not sure if they actually do anything but it has the code for a CMDA version.
could it be like a usb driver for an hd2 with no os or rom loade on to it
on my old hd2(i got another 1 now so it really doesnt matter now) i think it was bricked cause i think i flashed da wrong radio or something but it wouldnt turn on nor charge but when i connect it to my pc it would pick up as qualcomm technologies msm or something instead of a mass storage device or activesync. so i was thinking maybe dat driver lets u install da rom by jutting copying da files over to da device(not da nbh file but da nbh extracts)

Don't let the "CDMA" in the name fool you, that's just poor naming. It is what I said -- installing the 6.1 WMDC update installs the relevant components to satisfy this.

I'd suggest you look in the 920 forum. The problem is that the american variant of the Lumia 920 (RM-820) does not work with ROMs from devices from the rest of the world (RM-821, RM-822 - China). I don't know if there is another RM-820 ROM that does include Hebrew. Also getting Nokia ROMs has gotten a lot harder since Nokia closed off their servers - previously there were tools that allowed people to download any official ROM to their PC.
Hi everyone,
About a year ago, I flashed my Samsung Focus i917 phone and installed the Nokia Lumia 800 Windows Phone 7.8 software on it. Now I want to remove that software and go back to the OEM software. Does anyone know the best way to do this? I imagine I wouldn't be able to use the Samsung magldr because my phone is recognized as a lumia now right? help would be appreciated.
thanks

What exactly is this? I have a Huawei W1 (Tracfone) and have not found away to get even GDR2 yet, at least without losing my 3G connection and to make matters worse straight talk says it has no plans to update the device. Will this allow me to flash GDR3?

Will I still be able to keep my 3G connection (Tracfone)? Last time I flashed a china and Russian gdr2 and both only would allow a 2G connection as the result I ended up going back to the stock tracfone rom.

I really don't know. Maybe you can set the APN of your carrier manually. Try the GDR2 ROM at windowsmania.pl, this may work for you.

Tried that a few months back the flash was successful and could change apn however when selecting network it only allows me to select 2G. When flashing back to the stock Tracfone ROM I'm able to select 3G or 2G. I'm thinking the only solution is a custom American based Rom.
Hello, i have a Huawei W1 simlocked to Portugal TMN and i buy codes from mobileunlocked and sim-unlock, both codes that they supplied are the same and don´t work on my phone.
I really need to unlock my phone anybody knows how to help me with alternate method?
I also changed the firmware with QPST but the firmware doesn´t unlock the phone.
You could switch to mass storage and delete Huawei folder content. After it you loosing IMEI but you have to make a copy all files before it. Phone should be unlocked

I left BOARD_CODE.PROVISION, DIAGLOCK_PWD.PROVISION modified DESCRYPT_ID.PROVISION and deleted AFTER20000_BAK1.PROVISION and NVBAK.PROVISION and now i'ts SIM Unlocked.
If it's not too much to ask what are those files (AFTER20000_BAK1.PROVISION and NVBAK.PROVISION) for?
Because if I put back NVBAK.PROVISION to get the device serialnumber back it will lock the device again.
Best regards
Did MS stop pushing the 8.1 update to the W1? I am part of the developer program and have installed 8.1 on my phone many times before. Now when I have the Preview for Developer installed and check for updates it does not find anything. I am stuck at 8.0.10521.155. If this is the case and MS stopped pushing the update can we manually push it to the phone?

Developer Update to 8.1 it's not possible now because of the BitLocker problem *Maybe*
So you have to wait for official update !

After finally digging into the FFU and checking things, this really IS a true engineering ROM and NOT a developer ROM.

as I remember Engineering Roms are much different as developer one
@ngame @djtonka sorry for all the confusion! you guys are correct. This is for RM-825 devices, which is a specific variant of the Lumia 820. I was on mobile yesterday when I saw it, and wanted to post if quickly in case it magically disappeared. I think you are also correct in saying that it is a "Developer" rom and not an "Engineering" ROM based on the name of the tar.gz file. I will analyze it today or tomorrow and post back.
Yes, It is a Developer ROM. (WP 8.0 GDR 1)
But not useful until it's "OEM DEVELOPER UNLOCK".
No MS Apps nor developer app's like diagnostic tools.
No special drivers/services. Very simple ROM
@djamol @ngame @djtonka
After digging into it some more, I can confirm this is a REAL Engineering ROM and not a Developer ROM like I thought earlier. Sorry for all the confusion!

OK if you could find RM-821 Engineering rom I want it .
I will download it and will see it but I want to know it how did you find it's a Eng rom not a Developer one .
but I will check it .
@compu829 Don't mind, if I'm wrong. It's pure dev rom. There is also mentioned that version "Developer5". And so why it is signed ffu. ? Engg. Roms are like a more custom ROM'S.
@ngame you will find out more info in "OEM Device Platform Info" package's.
I've one question, what is a use of this ROM if we don't have an OEM unlock or Interop Unlocked.?
How we can use this as a REAL DEV ROM ?
Edit: At least can enable Mass Storage Mode ?

I want to see differences between these roms .
specially registry differences .
Developer signed Roms are flashable .
maybe I have to flash my phone from w10 back to 8.1 in these days and surely I will first try a dev rom to see if anything more presents or not
If we can enable mass storage mode all the things will solved as I know
because system files are not running so technically replacement of all files are allowed . (but where there's no sign check)

Even though it says "Developer5" it is really an engineering ROM. That threw me off, too. When I started looking at the "Platform ID", I discovered that it is for an engineering-only device.
I've tried flashing engineering rom on my Lumia 820 using windows phone image designer. It failed to install because of some security errors. So, I used thor2, disabled security check and was successful in flashing the rom. After flashing the phone is not booting anymore. It just vibrates and that's it. Not even Nokia logo is shown. I tried connecting phone to PC. But my PC is not even detecting the phone (in any mode, like QHSUSB_DLOAD). So, it is dead. Is there any way to recover the phone?
