I'd suggest you look in the 920 forum. The problem is that the american variant of the Lumia 920 (RM-820) does not work with ROMs from devices from the rest of the world (RM-821, RM-822 - China). I don't know if there is another RM-820 ROM that does include Hebrew. Also getting Nokia ROMs has gotten a lot harder since Nokia closed off their servers - previously there were tools that allowed people to download any official ROM to their PC.

[Q] How to Get Windows Mobile 6.1 (6.5 ?) for a MDA touch plus

Hey guys,
I'm pretty sure that this question has already been answered but after going through many threads, I still don't get it, haha.
I have got a MDA Touch Plus (Htc Touch Dual) from T-Mobile UK which is set with Windows Mobile 6.0 (version from 2008, the oldest one I believe). I'd like to update it to WM 6.1 or above (6.5 ?) but I have no idea how to do that.
I tried to get the official version of WM 6.1 from the htc's website, it said that the software wasn't suitable for my device.
I managed to download it anyway using another HTC Dual Touch's serial number but I don't feel confident trying to install it when the website stated that it wasn't suitable.
Here are my questions then:
- Is there a risk of damaging the mobile phone if I try to install the official version that wasn't apparently suitable for the mobile phone ?
- Where can I get a version of WM 6.1/6.5 that will work with my phone ?
- Is there a guide to install it ?
- My phone is unlocked so I can use my Orange's Sim as well, by updating it using an unofficial version of WM, will the phone stay unlock ?
I apologise if my questions are quite silly but I haven't got any experience in customing ROMs and all that kind of stuff ^^"
Many thanks,
Tomas
EDIT: I found those threads http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=2778832#post2778832 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=355730. The step by step instructions are quite straight forward but still, without a WM 6.1/6.5 ROM, I won't be able to use my phone, right ?
you should see the same problems with you at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=526378
I checked that post and that's how I made my way to the Main HardSpl/uspl (whatever it means) thread actually.
I found some interesting stuff on how to proceed, I'm just not really sure of what I'm doing.
Thanks again

Your phone is not jailbroken because of a developer account. There currently is no possibility to jailbreak any Windows Phone, at least it hasn't been published so far. The closest developers have come to a jailbreak a Windows Phone 8 device is by interop unlocking the Samsung ATIV S.

Hi,
You can debrand your Nokia Lumia 1520 with this [How To] Download and flash all Nokia Lumia Stock ROM.
But, if you want unlock your SIM card, then contact your SFR operator.
The Dev-Unlock, is not a Jailbreak.

Upgrade to 8.10.15116.125 (GDR2)

how to upgrade your windows phone to 8.10.15116.125 (GDR2)
first switch off automatic updates !!!
since i live in the netherlands there is NO official update to upgrade to 8.10.15116.125 (GDR2)
i tested this procedure on my nokia lumia 1520 & lumia 830
in this case i use my lumia 830 as an example
Product code : NOKIA 830 RM-984 - 059W5R5 RM984 VAR EURO NL CV D GREY
so here is the sollution :
-simply first upgrade to : 8.10.14234.375
I looked at : http://www.microsoft.com/en/mobile/...e/wp8-software-update/availability-in-europe/
in the netherlands i came up with : Lumia 830 Country variant Denim 8.10.14219.341 02040.00019.14484.24002
i upgrade this device with an Italian rom because there is a newer version for this device
in this case :Lumia 830 Country variant Denim 8.10.14234.375 02040.00021.15063.02003
(see here how to upgrade an other product code : http://forum.xda-developers.com/windows-phone-8/general/tutorial-how-to-easily-flash-lumia-t3079674)
-install windows insiders : https://www.windowsphone.com/nl-nl/store/app/windows-insider/ed2b1421-6414-4544-bd8d-06d58ee402a5
-then search for updates ...
in my case 8.10.15116.125 (GDR2) was installed directly
good luck with it ...

There's a must be a simple way to get this update
Join win insider
Update
When you get first update (it's GDR2)
Do a hard reset
It must work because it will remove insider update info

Phones that are on .341 don't go to GDR2.
just go to this link and you will get wp 8.1 gdr2 on any phone http://www.windowsmania.pl/poradnik...s-phone-8-1-update-2-oraz-win10-mobile-21133/
Nice! I'm trying this right now! I hope it will work
Doesn't work on WPRT 2.1.0
Interesting..as I have attempted/explored/troubleshooted a ton...for a procedure to upgrade a AT&T branded L-920 to 8.1.2 GDR2..No success thus far..
OS: 8.10.14219.341
Branch: WPB_CXE_R1-->Via Windows Insider app
MOID: ATT-US
FW: 3051.5009.1425.2001
According to [email protected]>users who show Branch: WPB_CXE_R2-->are likely to receive 8.1.2 GDR2 update.m
I tried a couple of times to upgrade to GDR 2 with the use of Windows Insider but no luck it takes me straight to W10 b 10080 which is too buggy on the L735 can someone help? I need to know from which cv i can go to GDR2..
It works with newer Os and Fw which i flashed on my 735 then when using Windows Insider i go first to GDR 2 then i had to hard reset so W10 preview would not be installed. Works better and should keep me entertained untill W10 is usable.
Follow this guide to get update 2

My Lumia 930 got updated to this version thanks to the Windows Insider's app. I chose "Insider Slow" to make sure it does not update to Windows 10, as it's a nightmare (tried it, I advise you don't!).

Nokia Lumia 520 Light ROM.

Hello my name is Alex and I am from Greece (my english are not very good ^_^ )
So... i bought my lumia 520 on August 2014 and lately my phone just lags a lot, i've downloaded a bunch of roms but i could not make it work flawlessly. Can you please help me to find a code (product code) to download a rom that work fine for my lumia 520? Please?
(Windows Phone 8.1)
Also can you please teach me how to keep my phone in a "great shape" ?
Thank you very much for reading... <3
I hope you can help me!
Love from Greece! ^_^
Hi Alex.
you have to download official tool from MS: "Windows Phone Recovery Tool" https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=525569
just follow the steps in app and it will install the latest available ROM for your device.
and believe, it will be the best, if you will keep phone in a "great shape"...
to keep phone in a "great shape" a bit harder...
you must NOT forget, that you have a budget (low-cost) phone.
so do NOT expect it will work same way as flagman phones...
the most important think you must remember is do NOT keep any not used apps (that you do not use every day. want to try smth? install it, try, and uninstall/remove)
and do NOT install apps on SD-card. never ever!.. it's simply slows you phone.
those rules just based on my experience in using 520 in everyday life.
hope it will help you.

Microsoft Lumia 435 android rom?

Support for Windows phone is ending and I don't want to give up my old phone just yet. Microsoft Lumia 435 android rom: Is it possible, would it require me to root first, would I retain full functionality or is it limited? Would I be able to use all Android apps like a regular Android phone/up to date play store etc.
Are there any other downsides? Hope someone can help me out, thank you in advance.
If there isn't a rom for my specific phone is it possible to use another one?
Astoria for it
