Is it necessary to factory reset after lollipop update on my SM-G900H Galaxy s5? Because i havent observed any lags or battery drain (infact battery life has been pretty good) , but there is little bit of stutters here and there , and fingerprint scanner is taking a bit loong to recognize my fingerpint but chrome has been an a bit more sluggish after the update. So help me out as i heard people that it is mandatory as it clears old files, blah blah .

It's highly recommended, but if you're happy with the way it is running, it's not mandatory
For me, battery drain was a big issue before resetting, but there have been a few lollipop updates since then, so...
That's a very good battery backup I am never able to get more than 4 hour

I just got my Galaxy S5 on monday from T-Mobile. It has a bug where the battery was drained by Google + (25%, but disabled it after), Instagram with 10% (uninstalled it), but now, it is Google Play Services doing it. I have photos to show what my issue is. I am running stock T-Mobile latest kernel and rom.

Hi everyone!
Everything what I write is about stock rom:
After upgrading from Jellybean to Lolipop, I had a serious battery drain problems because of "Android System" even though I did hard reset a few times. I decided to go bback to Kitkat and had no problem with it. But nowadays I wanted to use Lollipop again thanks to its design and upgraded to 5.0.2 TRV30d with PCSuite. But still I have this problem, "Android System" uses a lot battery. I
You can see battery usage statistics, there is a problem with Android System in Lollipop but I can't understand the problem. I need your help guys!
I've only talked for 5 mins and connected to Wifi most of the time. I never turned on GPS, Bluetooth or NFC.

Install better battery stats to catch the root cause
So I've had this phone now for probably 3 months or so, but ever since I got it I've had some issues with the battery life in general, but it has only gotten worse by time and it's driving me crazy. Right now I'm barely even able to go through a day of using the phone without having to bring a charger with me and re-fill the battery, even with only 2-3 hours of on-screen time at most (no games either, just social media like facebook and snapchat etc.).
I've tried many steps to try to fix the issues, at first I tried to restore my phone using Samsung Smart Switch and that did not help resolving the issue. I've also tried to disable apps using Package Disabler Pro and I've also disabled GPS and NFC, but that didn't help at all. Knox isn't tripped.
Is there anything more I can do, or shall I just get it sent back for repairs?
Here's some screenshots showing off the issue:

To be fair, if you're in Marshmallow that's pretty good...
This is crazy I've done so much to try and figure it out and want to see if anyone has ideas.
Factory reset countless numbers of times. Even tried not doing restore.
Replaced my device because I thought it may be hardware.
Been on stock, on most custom ROMs, and all the same.
On PN now and rooted.
Just installed Better Battery Stats but nothing from there yet. Will monitor.
It looks like BT share is always using the battery. I don't think it should be.
Any suggestions or ideas?
Yes I have some apps but nothing crazy and all the same as I had on 7.1.1.

just replying to say i dont have this issue on the latest update.
My bluetooth is always on and i only get 1% battery drain from bluetooth.
Not sure why mine is good....bootloader unlocked, but no twrp or root, and using stock kernal.
IDK if that helps at all

Hey guys I am currently running official BQC5 firmware which I got through OTA update on my G930V. I have noticed that on Nougat it's battery life has become terrible. You can judge the battery life by taking a look at the attached screenshots. I have disabled various bloatware apps which I don't use using package disabler pro. Other than this, no modification has been done on my phone. I also keep display brightness below 50%.
So kindly suggest me how can I make the battery last longer again.
Thanks and Regards

Did you use the battery optimizer option? I have mine set to the middle setting. It's in the battery section of settings. Try that and see how it works.
