I managed to soft brick my Galaxy S5 from AT&T and this happened when I was trying to downgrade to 4.4.2 Kitkat so that I could root it, and i have basically created a bootloop to where every time I shut it down and start it up, all I get is the "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Pleases select recovery mode in Kies & try again) the only problem is that Kies isn't connecting my phone and I've tried both versions of Kies. Kies and it's processes are killed when I use odin. I can still use Download mode, but I really need to get my phone to at least boot up again. All the data was wiped so I don't care about getting it back, but I just really need some help. The Odin text that I keep getting is:

User the usb ports in the back of your pc. If that didn't work try a different pc.
Make sure that Kies is not running and all Kies processes are closed.
Open Task Manager and double chek this.
This is a very important step as Kies can interfer with Odin.
Make sure that you have downloaded the correct firmware from Sammobile.
Turn off phone completely
Wait a couple of seconds
start phone in Download mode
Open Odin
Connect phone to PC.
Load the downloaded firmware (from Sammobile) as PDA
Leave Auto Reboot and F. Reset checked and hit Start.
If it fails again, try with another version of Odin.
Perhaps Odin 3.07 will work?
Also, and I know this sounds stupid, use a different USB cable or the original Samsung one if you're not already... Made the world of difference when I was flashing....
Hi guys,
I rooted my phone(GT-i9505) a few days ago and unlike previous phones I began to have troubles where the phone would reset randomly and freeze, so I thought tonight I would unroot it using Odin. It went through the motions of whatever it needed to do and showed this message

For some reason or another I can restart the phone into download mode but if I try to get it into recovery mode for example it just shows me a screen with a yellow triangle saying "Firmware update encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again."
But Kies wont recognize my phone?
I have tried to repeat the proces, choosing to use a separate PIT file, I have selected different options eg. Selected/Unselected re-partiton and Auto reboot. Nothing has worked so far?
Im really stuck on this one. Any help would be appreciated thanks
I restarted my phone and it went into FRP lock. I can only access download mode and do not have access to recovery. I have tried downloading stock firmware using Odin but it fails every time. When ever I download something from Odin I get this

Any suggestions on how I can get into my phone!?
Try using Samsung smartswitch while phone is in download mode and use the reinstall feature and see if that cannot help you get back to stock (and a working phone)
I have SM G928F , had same problem. I downgraded the bootloader and succeeded in putting new recovery on my phone and then flashed custom Rom….
Hope this helps.

Hello everyone, mazzie66 could you please explain how you downgraded your bootloader. Thanx
s6 edge+ bricked by frp
I bought second hand s6 edge + g928f blocked google account.
i have the imei and s / n number but i do not know what firmware it had on it.
now it's just download mode or recovery.
I flashed 3-4 firmware stock successfully, but it gets into recovery when it opens.
I used odin / z3x.
I have edited the firmware and combined them with boot / modem / sboot / hidden etc.
I searched in vain how I could learn the former firmware version.
with the smart switch after entering the model and telling her to contact the service center. with kies the same. i just know it is 7.0 encoded vodafone romania.
I've had some bugs with drk.
I would like to ask you how to install a custom rom (twrp) or pass frp lock.
Sorry for English.
This video can help to fix the black, bricked Samsung Galaxy phone, wish helpful with you.

Hi so earlier today I had enough of my phone being stuck in a boot loop for hours and wanted to do something about it so I went to factory reset it in recovery mode and the phone reset and now because of that it's stuck in a loop not getting past the Hg3 logo and when I try to go back to recovery mode it's saying something about the cache and fails every time. So i'm told it's bricked and started using odin3 at first I couldn't get it to work but I got a little further.
I have a S7 edge - SM-G935F - HG3 (Three) - I'm guessing it's 6.0.1 (marshmallow ?)

Please someone help me, I switched to android because people said it was better than apple but so far all It's given me is problems
you're flashing the wrong firmware..
your firmware name will start with G935, not G925.
G925 is S6 EDGE
