Hi,
My friend has an LG G2 and now has the following problem:
The touch screen does not work anymore. That means, I just get to the lockscreen but not any futhur.
The only button (with visual feedback) that still works is the Home button.
Actually I would have made a factory reset but my friend wants a backup of his data. But I cannt make a backup because I did not get past the lockscreen.
Is there anything that I can do?
(possibly root?)
Many Thanks
zoker
BTW: There is no garantie any more...

The phone started thinking by his own. I solve the problem with the 'Clear Storage' option in the settings.
(I was unable to perform Hard Reset because my buttons refused to work).
OK, now all is back to function normaly except the buttons still isn't working (except the power button).
Some one knows what should I do?

I tried to update my rom to higher version (WM6.1)
works fine, but the buttons still doesn't work :/

Dear all,
Since long time i have an issue with my text sms. Eg. When I send text SMS to any Group (Consist of 10 People) in my X1 the (Receiver) receives more than 5-10 same SMS text messages. This really causes big issue for me in my phone bills & I am still not able to resolve this issue.
I have soft reset many times my X1 with new ROM ( X1i_GENERIC_UK_CDF1215-1832_R2AA010 – uploaded and still it remains the same; this ROM caused my camera not to work . This is really annoying me. I haven’t changed any sms settings either, but I asked people in that thread, and no one there knows either.
My phone also x1 when I keep it long time in the charged the phone screen gets stuck & I am not able to do anything except removing my battery
Please anyone advice me with the solution. Because I really heated X1 since I bought & all this issues are coming

Try Hard Resetting your phone.
Take battery cover off & stylus out of phone.
Try powering up your phone into bootloader mode (power button & volume down).
Then when in that screen Hold both soft keys down & press the reset button with the stylus. Flip the phone over to reveal the dialogue & then press the r button on the keyboard to reset the phone.
Warning, this will wipe everything off your phone, except the rom !
Hello,
These last days I had a lot of problems to align the screen of my Samsung Omni Addict player I900. The problem is that the touch screen is not centered anymore and it does not react when I press something on the screen.
To solve the problem I wanted to make a hard reset by using the following key combination "*2767*3855#".
My biggest problem is that, by mistake, I did lock the screen and keys of the phone and then when I press any key, my phone ask me to press the "Unlock" option on the screen, but I cannot do it as the touch screen does not react correctly.
I'm wondering if there is any possibility to edit the register to be able to unlock it.
Any other ideas are welcome. I'm blocked on this problem for two days now
Thanks in advance for your help,
Alain
Maybe I'm missing something but... can't you just soft reset it? I don't think it will boot up screen-locked....
Soft reset didn't help but after multiple tries I managed to do an hard reset which did solve the problem.
The problem I'm facing to now is that I cannot align the screen. As recommanded in different posts in this forum I have changed the CalibrationData value in the registery but still, after following the "align screen" procedure the screen does not react correctly. To be able to move forward I would like to be able to activate the mouse cursor. Do you know how could I activate it by changing a value in the registery?
If not I will create a new post with this question.
Thanks in advance.
Alain.
I'm sorry, haven't had an i900 in my hands for a while now, I don't remember which reg key you need
hello ive searched everywhere is there an app or tweak for hd2 im annoyed that when on a call i keep pressing the on screen buttons is there anything i can do to stop this thanks..
The light sensor on the HD2 should turn the screen off automatically so that you don't press anything. That being said maybe you have a problem with your sensor so make sure it works, if it doesn't then try flashing another rom or call HTC.
Hope this helps.
master reset

Click to collapse
you try a master reset befor you anything bigger in your phone, sometimes is always very easy but since you can't find it just do a master reset.
start,-settings-security-factory reset hope this work
same problem here, hard reset didn't change anything.
maybe you want to try this (stops working after soft reset, until i re-install) or this (also doesn't work right for me).
maybe one of theses two works for you.
the last option would be to go to \Windows\Lockscreen and rename the "LS_PhoneCallScene_480x800.cpr" (brings back the default wm 6.5 lockscreen) and then lock the device (windows button --> lock) on each call.
This app can help you.

Hi All, I needs some help!
I have a Vodafone HTC Magic, all working fine until this morning when it has decided that it does not want to lock the screen.
I have it all set to require a pattern to unlock but this morning I have come to use it and noticed it didn't ask for the pattern.
I checked the settings and they were not set to require a pattern, no idea what changed it? Anyway I set them again but despite this everytime I lock the phone now (basically just by pressing the end call button) any button will bring it back to life and it is not asking for the pattern so everytime it's in my pocket and a button gets pressed the phone comes on!
I haven't installed any new apps and have tried turning it off and taking out the battery but the screen locking just wont work.
EDIT: Also noticed that the home button doesn't do anything now either!
Any ideas?
Thanks
Replying to myself but thought I'd let anyone who was interested know that I sorted it. Not altogether happy though because it required a full factory reset!
Is my phone running Android or Windows??????
