Hey guys. I tried to install the N910CXXU1BOC5 firmware on my Note 4 and this is what I get in Odin :

make sure you follow all the steps, remember you have to unzip the file you downloaded then you will be able to flash it via Odin, remember to click on PDA, and Re Partition have to be disabled, only Auto Reboot and F.Reset Time should be checked, good luck, cheers:fingers-crossed:

make sure reactivation lock is uncheck at security settings...

i9505 with leakedI9505XXUFNAD_I9505OXXFNA2_I9505XXUFNAD_OXX fails to install.

I had installed the first leaked KitKat 4.4.2 on my rooted i9505 and it worked well. However when I tried to install the latest KitKat 4.4.2 I9505XXUFNAD_I9505OXXFNA2_I9505XXUFNAD_OXX firmware with odin, it fails. It can only boot up in download mode and in the recovery mode just shows the black screen of death. Is there any way to recover my i9505?
Here are the results I get with odin v3.09

I've tried all the usb ports but the problem is still the same.
I've solved the problem. I was trying to flash in vmware on my macbook pro. I installed Boot Camp and then it flashed correctly.

WEIRD Brick? problem - cannot understand it

Ok, so I was running TWRP 2.8.5.0-trltedt and CM12 with its own kernel. N910G.
If I go to TWRP and install a custom Sh1twiz ROM via ZIP + nadia kernel it's fine and it works.
If I go to TWRP and wipe System, Dalvik and Internal Storage and then go into Download Mode and use Odin 3.10 to install an official ROM (N910GDTU1ANK3_N910GOLB1ANK3_N910GDTU1ANK3_HOME.tar.md5) from Sammobile then I get a:
<ID:0/004> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/004> SingleDownload.
<ID:0/004> aboot.mbn
<ID:0/004> NAND Write Start!!

<ID:0/004> system.img.ext4
<ID:0/004> modem.bin
<ID:0/004> cache.img.ext4
<ID:0/004> hidden.img.ext4
<ID:0/004> FAIL! (Ext4)
The phone screen says:
Volume size is too big 92160 < 204800
ODIN: Invalid ext4 image
At this point if I restart the phone and try to enter TWRP (recovery) it doesn't work anymore, it goes into another screen that says:
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue" etc.
If I go again into download mode and flash TWRP with Odin the flashing works.
Then, if I try to enter recovery it says something... I cant read it cause it happens too fast, but it's something related to "formatting", "cache", "wipe".
Then the phone restarts by itself and the phone seems to work.
However, if I go again in download mode and try to flash the original firmware with Odin, I get the same FAIL! (Ext4)... so this means the core problem was not fixed by TWRP.
I heard I may need to flash a PIT file with re-partition clicked?
But where do I find the right PIT file for N910G?
The thing is that even if the phone seems to work I am afraid that later I might find out that it doesnt work properly... after spending hours installing everything on it...

Return to stock odin FAIL

Im trying to return to stock and Odin fails at the very end of the flash each time. I was running blisspop before trying to flash, and i did a factory reset as well before trying to flash.

You put the phone in recovery mode or download mode during flashing?

I tried using a different pit and it didn't seem to help.
I asked because some people use recovery mode while flashing.
Thanks for the additional info though :good:

custom roms work and this stock rom actually did boot up even though it said failed in odin, although it was buggy in some places. Any ideas how to go back completely to stock?
What version of odin you using.
Asking because I was unable to flash stock whenever I used 3.10
3.07 worked for me

Same as before, I put in the pit file, put in the firmware, factory wiped my phone, put into download mode, plugged it in then started the flash.
I remember I had the same issue before but the XEO (polish firmware) flashed properly, I just tried it again and it works. Why wont my other stock firmware work? It should be the same european pit as the XEO firmware. Maybe a different bootloader or something? Or maybe it is a different pit? I want to install the ILO firmware, what pit does it need?
If you have custom recovery try flashing a stock rom through that method. If using Odin method, try taking the battery out of your phone first, put it back in and then boot phone directly into download mode, then try flashing. From the log you posted it looks as though you have a bad stock rom file. Try downloading another one or use different version of Odin like 3.07. Here is the link to all the CSC codes that may help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=800257 If you cant find any help with that link try this one: http://www.galaxys5update.com/galaxy-s5-sm-g900f-europe-android-4-4-2-g900fxxu1ance-firmware-stock-rom-list/ Hope this helps you out some.

Usb 2.0 port used for flash frm lap
So I looked inside the md5 file and there is no such file hidden.img.ext4 maybe that is what the problem is? Can someone really show the line to normal stock ROM that can be flashed without all those trouble.
guys just tried flashing again with 6.0.1 netherlands and the same thing is happening, i think the problem was the XEO csc from the xeo 5.0 firmware but how do i fix it?!?!?!?!

afaik Odin can only flash tar or tar.md5 files so choose
twrp-3.6.2_9-0-trlte.img.tar.Personally on that old device I use Odin 3.09 as I somewhere read it suits better.
