I've noticed that there are 2 applications for rooting the note 4.
One is kingroot / kingroot.org (in chinese) and kingoroot kingoroot.org (in english).
does anyone know what the difference is? Both websites are simular, but the apps are different.
Never mind. I noticed at the bottom they are the same kingo group.

Hello guys,
I'm a bit out of the Android world since some years, I got my new Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Duos and I love it.
I installed a Stock ROM using Odin and rooted it with CF-Auto and I have root access now.
However, it seems like I am unable to convert User Apps to System Apps. I tried it with apps such as Titanium Backup and others. As an example of Titanium Backup, it just "hangs" at the "Processing" step and that's it, force killing Titanium Backup doesn't help. The app that should be converted just disappears ("uninstalls") and thats it. I found about S-ON/S-OFF but believe it applies only to HTC phones, doesn't it?
I tried many other applications that claim to convert User Apps to System Apps, without success. Either the app just disappears like with Titanium Backup, or the tool to convert doesn't even work claiming "you're not rooted", even though the phone is certainly rooted.
I tried to do it manually with a root explorer, moving the folder from /data/app/ to /system/app/, the folder is moved, permissions are set, but it didn't work either, the app just doesn't show up.
Does anyone know what I missed? I tried to find a solution by Googling 2 days and trying multiple ways, unfortunately without luck.
Thanks everyone who has any hint to that!
Cheers!
I'm in the same page as you I have been trying to move apps to the system but without luck the reason why I want to do it is because none of the apps that I usually use with root work I'm using a galaxy s7 edge g935FD.
The reason why you can not do that is because samsung uses se for android and on top of that we have this knox
If you can change the selinux from enforcing to passive you Shuld be able to do what you want
I have not found a way to do that
Any news on this?
Hello,
unfortunately I didn't find any answers to my question.
So, I rooted my S7 edge (Exynos Edit.) successfully.
Everything worked find. I can install root apps, run them, I have guaranted full access to the phone.
BUT,...
the only thin I cannot do is:
Deinstalling preinstalled Apps.
I don't touch system apps.
What I want to deinstall are apps like: Facebook (preinstalled) or instagram. Or google fotos.
When I deinstall them (with titanium backup for example) I get a bootloop.
This is my first phone, where I have this problem.
TWRP etc. working fine.
Thanks in advance!
Install a custom rom with options to remove those apps.

Strange "system_server" & "system_server (1000)" Apps Requesting for Root Access
Hi all,
Need your expertise advice on the below mentioned issue I encountered yesterday.
There are two strange apps name called "system_server" and "system_server (1000)" prompted to request for root access permission several times via my SuperSU app.
Does anyone know what are those apps for and their purpose of requesting root access permission? Is it tiggered by certain apps running on background? Or perhaps could it be something got to do with Samsung? I am really unsure. I afraid that it could be some sort of malware or viruses and that is why I had denied their root access permission.
I even tried to search for those apps in App Manager but to no avail. I had never encountered this before in the past. Should I just ignore it or I need to do something about it to prevent unfortunate events from happening? What are your views on this?
Between, I am having a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910G) Snapdragon, MM 6.0.1, custom RamKernel RC3, Systemless Rooted with SuperSU & Xposed 87.0.
If you need more information, please do not hesitate to ask me.
Thank you in advance for your help.
I downloaded Kingoroot from the official Kingoroot website and used it to root my Amazon Fire HD 10. Since then, I let Malwarebytes scan my computer and its telling me that my computer has malware. The only program that I've recently used and added is Kingoroot, so it seems like KingoRoot could be the suspect here. After some googling, I found some disturbing info about how Kingo Root could actually infect your computer and tablet/phone. I'm a little worried now and wanna what you guys think about this?
Apps like KingRoot, KingoRoot, etc are known throughout the community as spyware and should not be used.
Flash stock on the tablet and run antivirus on your PC.
What does flash stock mean?
It's very possible. I read Kingo Root statement but I don't believe 'em. What does it mean:
We kind of hope, in the future, Kingo Android Root could generate revenue to support our staff (STILL FREE FOR USERS).

? Who will "generate revenue"?
From my side, the answer is simple: naive users who's using illegal Chinese rootkits/spyware "warez". But the funny point is: their "customers" (or - truly - victims) are the guys who's too worry about "large evil Amazon who stole their personal data and privacy" But they are gladly join Chinese botnet and share their IMEI/accounts/etc. and so on with the Chinese "black hats"
I know that Kingoroot installs a few different apps during the rooting process. A lot of these apps are junk apps that can easily be uninstalled. I can't help but wonder though. Does Kingoroot add things in the system files?

It installs some crappy "pure cleaner" program. I had to go into safe mode to uninstall it.
