What chargers can I use with this?

Okay so other than the charger that comes with this phone, can I use any other charger? Like a samsung galaxy charger? Don't want wireless charger.

There's a whole world of chargers that you can use but, yes, you can use the any Samsung Galaxy S or Galaxy Nexus charger. Anything Micro (not Mini) USB will do the job

Cheers. Just thought there was some difference in the ratings of the chargers and didn't want to spoil this phone. So double checked.

Galaxy S and Galaxy Nexus chargers supply 1A but the Nexus 4 uses up to 1.2A so it may charge slightly slower but shouldn't damage the battery.

[Q] Note 4 Car Charging?

Hey guys,
I just plugged my note 4 into my car charger (anker charger, oem note 4 cable) and couldn't get it to charge. It charges my note 3 no problem.
I also have no problems charging my note 4 with wall chargers.
Any help?

I've got the "Anker® 18W / 3.6A Car Charger with Built-in Micro USB Cord for Android" and it's actually CHARGING my Note 4 when using GPS navigation and playing music! My Note 2 wouldn't charge, but it would hold charge under the same conditions.
What model charger are you using?

I actually can't find it on the charger itself or even Amazon. It's relatively new, I thought it was a 2.0/2.1 amp charger (2x USB). Definitely Anker though.

Are you using both usb's at the same time? If so, it's splitting the power, so you'll get a slow charge.

Sorry, I should have specified - the only thing plugged into the charger is my Note 4.
Shoot, maybe I just need to grab another charger. Thought I made a good decision with that Anker.

If you get the one I listed, it works for sure. Great charger and it's been the only one my wife hasn't been able to destroy. :laugh:

Doubt it. You need a special charger for that.

Hmm.. this mentions rapid charging, I wonder if it's as fast as the wall charger

The only chargers that work with the new fast charging technology are ones that are purpose built and have the ability to switch between 9V and 5V,they are quite uncommon.

I have this charger http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00D82O68Y/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and it charges my note 4 while running Waze and tethering my Radar Detector via Bluetooth (which also uses GPS)....and it charges my wife's S5 at the same time

Using an afer market 2.1a charger and an S3 cable, charges just fine.

I believe Samsung has stated it's a 9v charger instead of the conventional 5v charger.

Did some more research and found this:

I've done a ton of searches on this site and the web in general but cannot find an answer.
It is worth investing in a QC2 compatible charger (they are expensive compared to regular ones, which I have already of course)?

Any 2 Amp charger will work great. I use the white charger that came with the phone for outlet, and this for the car:

Yes, if you buy USB-A (Legacy) to USB-C Cables. However, you (obviously) won't get fast charging from your other adapters.

So I need a "6P fast charger" for fast charging? Otherwise it's normal charging? Or will my N6 fast charger work (minus the cord obviously)?

Correct. The N6 uses Qualcomm 2.0 which is different. However, if you want fast chargers, you can buy quality aftermarket chargers (like Choetech on Amazon) for much less. Also, be careful on which cables you buy (a lot of bad ones out there) REGARDLESS of whether you buy A2C for normal charge from your old charger's, or C2C for new (fast) chargers. Again, Choetech's are good/aprooved, but there are other good ones if you search.

If you're looking to get the fastest charge, go with a C-C cable and premium Type C charger. This should allow 3.0A 5V of power delivery.

I just need extra cables at this point. One for my car charger and one for work. What cables off of Amazon would you guys recommend? Nothing crazy expensive..

I got this cable from Amazon, due to getting a discount. I use it at work with a 2.4a charger, and it has worked well so far.

Agreed, and the Choetech I reccomended (with Choetech cables) puts out 2.95A, which is about the same as you get when you measure the Google charger.

These have great reviews it seems.
I see a ton of options...I obviously need USB A to something.. Which should I pick for the other end? Stupid question, new to USB C... I see like USB A to USB C .5mm, 1mm and 2mm or something. Just want to get the right one.

Just go with any of the C-A cables on the spreadsheet that are approved. You can use any of your qualcomm charges to do 2.0 amps, but will need a 2.4A charger to get 2.4A current.
If you want a 3.0A charge go with a C-C charger.

I would use caution in purchasing USB Type-A to Type-C cables.

I didn't want to put that cable on blast, but yes that cables outer appearance seems to be the type that Benson had some extreme issues with.
Please go with the tested types, as there are various sources that will provide you with compliant cables.

I assume that you're referring to my post. Yes, I have found a few reviews stating that it isn't compliant and I know I may be taking a risk. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find that cable on Benson's list. I got it because with the discount, it was free. I don't use it very often, but I'll keep an eye out for anything unusual while doing so. I also didn't say that he should go for that cable, I was just sharing information about one of the cables I have.
At home I use the stock power adapter and cable, and in my vehicle a Nektek branded one found here. This particular one I don't believe is on his list, but two others are, so hopefully this one follows suit. It does rapid charge, which is nice.
I'll update if anything runs afoul with my Nexus 6P and LaoHe cable pairing.

Try using the CheckR app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.mderezynski.checkr
It will let you know if a USB-C to A cable is good enough to use and it will work with the 6P/5X.

Stock charger no longer work

stock charger stopped working and phone no longer turbo charge.. tried a replacement that worked for 2 months and stopped as well.. phone only chargers with regular usb/chargers.. I'm guessing it's a software problem or could be hardware as well but I'm not the only one with this problem I'm sure.. Anyone have a fix?

Highly unlikely it is a software issue... The Moto X is very finicky about Turbo Chargers and the cable, always use a high quality cable and power supply, I recommend Eversame microUSB cables and Aukey QC 2.0 chargers (car or A/C), I have used them for a long time with no issues at all. Come to think of it, my original charger is probably still in the box, don't think I have ever used it. lol

Well I bought another charger off amazon and that didn't work as well.. Probably gonna give either chargers u mentioned a try... Just wanna hear everyone's views on this

I had a stock motorola charger stop working as well. I've moved on to higher quality cables like he said.

So it's safe to say it's a cable problem.. I bought a similar charger like stock on Amazon and same problem.. Probably need to change brand like u said.. Waiting for other inputs

Just had the same thing happen to me literally a few minutes ago. Turbo charger isn't working so I have to use a regular one. Just ordered the cable and charger in acejavelin's post.

A Samsung charger from like the S7 will quick charge the phone. At least mine does. It even gives the TurboCharge toast after plugging it in.

Yes, because that charger is QC2.0 compliant, I have used on of my son's S7 Edge chargers on more than occasion with no problems and it gets "Turbo charge" just fine... So will most other OEM chargers that are Quick Charge 2.0 compliant.
