Flash CM12, there's an ios theme for it on Play store or buy an i phone if you can't live without.Talking about ios in android forums is really not a good idea. It's more searching for trouble. [emoji16]

If you want IOS themed rom then I suggest to download MIUI and download an IOS theme. As miui is really the best rom you want for that.

i have tried every theming option..but i was looking for rom like this for our g2 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2685937
so if anyone has spare time then please give it a try

Well I still suggest MIUI with IOS theme as it will look much better then the rom you provided and it works alot smoother as the rom from that url is based on cm11 with some IOS lookalike applications and with an IOS theme for cyanogenmod. So IF you really want that then I suggest you to download that and try to port the content of that rom to another cm11 rom from the G2. Idk about the resolution really of the rom you provided but yeah. I can already say to you that I am 100% sure that almost nobody will port this as we came to the G2 and other devices for the reason that we are android fans and most are also Anti-IOS.

Miui with ios theme.
and even without the ios theme, miui looks a lot like ios(its actually de hole point)
try it its an amazing rom, fast, stock features, great battery, great user interface(lg ui SUCKS!)

Don't racist man.. i like ios UI and I loves android features

[Q] [REQUEST] TouchWiz 4.0 for HTC HD2

My friend got the Samsung Galaxy S2, and I got to play with it. I can say that i absolutely LOVE TouchWiz 4.0. So if any of the great devs on XDA are reading this, can you make a TouchWiz 4 port for the HTC HD2? Because i tried touchwiz 3 and it was not as good as 4, by a long shot. And if there isn't a port planned for development, can anyone link me to an APK or launcher?

wrong section try Q&A
i too have been lookn for that hard to find launcher
Ughhh,i think I'm going to be sick
Why not? I'd like to try that

Surely it will be less buggy than an interface for a far more different phone?
i'm pretty sure someone is able to port
Check out the MIUI ROMs they have some of the TouchWiz incorporated into the ROMs.
TouchWiz 4.0 is already ported to Galaxy Tab:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1077641
Can someone try to port it for HD2?
Might I ask what about touchwiz you like? If it's in functionality, then sense, or any other rom as a matter of fact, offers the same.
I like how it looks like (almost like MIUI) and TW 4.0 has useful gesture support.
Sense 3.0 has only nice lockscreen, nothing else has changed since times of Desire.
And I really want to try that, cause SGS2 is to expensive for me...
I think the gesture controls need a gyroscrope also to work since they don't work with my cappy running tw4. Which the hd2 doesn't have or any other phone other than the age 2.

Thanks.
Alright first and foremost, after I finish this post I'm moving your thread to Q&A. This is not a question you want to ask in the Dev forum because though eventually it may be dev-related, currently it is not.
Also, I'm not gonna close your thread because I feel everyone has the right to voice their opinion as long as it's appropriate but I am going to forewarn you that you are literally begging to be flamed.
That being said, I DO NOT want to see ANYONE flame this guy. You've all been warned. I'm not going to tolerate flaming anymore. If I see it I'm just going to start dishing out temp-bans.
All of that being said. Moving the thread now.
Contrary to what you said, the rom is infact an miui rom with few apps from market / cooked from interwebs.
porting iOS would need some magic from Apple inc.

Agreed, isnt apple hardware wayy different from alot of android hardware? Mainly processor? I think it uses a proprietary apple (Apple A4 (the iPad CPU)) CPU. Which means different coding? I think like Rick says, would need some magical wonders, which you know how apple haaates other hardware with their OS (hackintosh/psystar)...
so with that in mind, probably best to get a IPHONE!
EDIT: actually looked at link, annd wow, even the status bar is WAAY not apple...xD idk where you got the idea that was a iOS ROM from...

Actually, it is not an MIUI rom. I've flashed the rom and tried it myself. Not really pleased with its speed . However, indeed it is based off cyanogen like miui, so its technically not a true iOS rom but a cyanogen rom modified to look like iOS.

Well, that thread is also mainly about apps that do not require the 'iOS' framework found in the rom. The status bar is indeed iPhonish when you use the rom, however you retain your original status bar if you've just used the app.

Google’s Holo theme *required* on Android! The end of vendor skinning?

http://androidandme.com/2012/01/new...4-0-devices-to-gain-access-to-android-market/
It looks like we'll now be getting that beautiful vanilla ICS experience with our stock Roms.
Great news IMO.
Wohoo. Great news!
Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S II powered by CyanogenMod 9
Really really good news! Probably the best news ever for the Android platform. Manufacturer skinning has ruined the Android experience and has drew away users that like a more universal UI like the iOS devices have.

Well, Not really...its just for app development. We will see TW based ICS for sure.

I'm assuming that the theme will apply to aspects of the phone such as menu's, overlays, notifications etc. Now if we install the stock ICS launcher, the rest of UI will be uniform.
Yeah think you got the wrong end of the stick with this one but the theme is nice. Vendor skinning will always be around but we will likely keep the backgrounds to settings etc that will keep consistency.
After reading more into this I realize its not as important as I assumed.

Looks like I got over excited. At the very least it'll mean that in time apps will be more consistant.

App designers will now be able to choose between the device’s default theme (Sense, TouchWiz, MotoBlur, etc.) or Google’s Holo.

we might still have a touchwized ICS.. but its not a bad thing..
all things vanilla goes to cyanogenmod 9
The only thing this means is that application developers can be confident that there will be the default theme accessible on the device. That means their layouts and graphics won't be broken because of manufacturer skins. Read the original article.

We have no desire to restrict manufacturers from building their own themed experience across their devices. In fact we’ve gone further to make this even easier.

It definitely isn't the "end of vendor skinning", but I wonder if it will make skinning vendor skins to AOSP easier.
I guess it depends on to what extent the theme will be included inside the OS.
Closed. Please continue discussions at this thread since it was created first.

[Bid/Developer Hunt] Making an "iOS7" concept a reality

Watch this video first:
I'm here to propose a community funded effort in finding(and funding) developers interested in making a design concept a reality. Looking over the video a few times, I began thinking how easy it would be to do this with android especially with all the customizable apps and widgets. the only problem is that some of the applications would need to be coded from scratch. Or maybe some apps can be themed to look like it (IE ubermusic app theme). I personally like it and would like to see if anyone else is interested and thoughts/opinions. I'm extremely open to criticism and critiques. I would take on this project myself, but my Java knowledge isn't that extensive, as well as my C/C++ skills, however, I am willing to make the necessary image files if need. I may also contact designer behind the iOS7 concept and see if he is willing to contribute as well.
In Final:
Looking to find and fund developers willing to either make a custom rom or applications that are similar to the ones in the video. If it a custom rom, I would it would be CM, Kang or Slimrom base! yee.
dude, fix your post. Your links are unfriendly!

You have to fix links for video.
just copy this text : ESivYZXYqYE and then select it, and use 'YouTube' icon fourth from right.
Looks really nice kind of like miui a little more advanced

Good luck. Your gonna need it.

That concept video is basically just a bunch of features that already exist in android. As for the design language as previous commenter mentioned it's very much like MIUI. Just start looking at different launchers and widgets available and you'll soon be able to knock this up. I could probably get a decent replication with a combination of Apex launcher, UCCW and some icon packs.

Oh they can all they want. Every developer knows that all they do is take codes from others. Even their theme settings are built off of CM coding. The whole look of the rom is a copycat off someone else. Apple is gonna have a field day with them the min they try to sell internationally and so is the GPL lawyers.
No real dev takes them seriously.

Are We Samsungoholic???

Why is it so That there are so many roms based on touchwiz and not any other ui like ios7 or Huawei Or HTC
Why cant we open up And think of other ui's and not Samsung
Because I am feeling bored of using Samsung's ui

No one likes the Samsung's Touchwiz, but there is no need to make special ROMs for each UI. All you need is a base ROM and customize it the way you like it using Xposed and a custom ported or third-party launchers.
People used to make so many ROMs because they would be themed differently, with different features added here and there but that's pointless now since almost everything can be altered and changed on your own in the stock based ROMs.
All AOSP/CM based ROMs support themes that cover framework, systemUI, player, icons everything into Huawei, HTC and several other custom UIs. Features differ in AOSP ROMs and therefore there are several ones already available and constantly improved.
Asking devs to provide themed ROMs at this point is like saying I'm too lazy to do it on my own so please do it for me, but of course, that's just my personal opinion.
