Phone not reachable issue - YU Yureka Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi All,
I have been facing a strange issue with my Yureka.
Many of my friends and clients are complaining me that your phone is not reachable. To test this, I dialed my number from another phone and found they are right. Sometime it says, phone not reachable and sometime it doesn't say anything... just ... ping... ping.. ping and gone. Not even any message. I can see full network signals.
This has become now very annoying.
In last 1 hour, I have tried my phone 10 times and got connected only 2 times.. rest of the times either it doesn't say anything or says, not reachable.
Any ideas what could be wrong?
p.s. A little more info... while phone is not reachable, I can see full network and my 3G is also working fine.

which Rom installed on ur phone? & did u try calling to both sims?

Thanks for your reply ujilraj.
I am on stock CM12 ROM
I have no issues in outgoing calls. Issue is when someone is calling me.
They get phone unreachable message or nothing at all.
Today I tested myself and saw the same.
Earlier, I thought it might be some network related issues but it seems something else... may be hardware issue but not sure, therefore, asking for community help

Do u use dual sim? & did u set the network to automatically choose network? (settings > mobile networks> network operators> choose automatically). Also, Is ur preferred network type set on LTE? if yes, then change it to 3G or 2G...

no service yet can connect to data...

Hey
I know there are threads related to this issue where an Hero refuses to connect to a network (the bars has a x over the top) however i've discovered something strange with my hero.
With the correct data/apn settings the phone is connecting to the network and will allow me to browse the internet, post tweets etc etc, it actually allows me to do anything thats not phone related. I cannot make calls or sent text messages.
This phone was unlocked and working ok until one day it just stopped working with my network.
The hero is unlocked - I have tested it with Tmobile and Three and they both work. Any kind of o2 sim refuses to work....
Am i being a complete n00b and missing something here....?
Any help appreciated - I;ve spent weeks on this issue and almost ready to give up
Damon
Anyone having a similar issue to the above, I've found something that appears to help fix this.
Get AnyCut from the market place, create a shortcut to Phone info.
Launch phone info, turn off radio.
Now im not exactly sure why this works but change 'set preferred network type' to WCDMA Only and then renable the radio after a few moments, the singal returns.
Weird and very annoying.
Damonsk,
Can you point me to a solution for the other problem where the hero refuses to connect to a network (the bars has a x over the top). I have searched every term I can think of with no luck yet. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide.

Issues connecting to network after being out of service.

Hi Guys,
Wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem with their Xperia X10i
A friend of mine has an X10i and is running on the AWS WIND Mobile network. What she is experiencing, is after leaving a "no service" area and entering back into WINDS coverage, her handset is not reconnecting back onto the network. She says she always has to manually research for it.
There is nothing wrong with her sim card, and I know through experience that my Nexus One doesnt' have this issue (even with the same network search settings).
Any ideas what could be causing this and how it can be fixed? My guess is Radio
im using x10i on WIND MOBILE.. i dont hv this perticular problem.. but often whn im dialing a number it'll be showing 'call ended' thn i hv to restart the phone n manually search the network... wel there r other issues also like directly getting 'missed call' msgs instead of getting calls..lol.. im confused, is it a phone or a network..
I have the exact same problem, i'm on O2 in the UK. I find if i'm in an area with no mobile reception for 12h or so when I go back to an area with reception the phone doesn't pick this up and still shows no reception till I turn it off and back on.

That sounds like it could be both... Does your phone ever say wind away? Is your phone set to manual only or set to WCDMA?
*#*#4636#*#*
will go into a setting menu (can't be done through regular settings)
You can play around with the network settings
Does your phone ever say wind away?
I to have the exact same problem but i just restart my phone and it works again.
Maybe after so long not being on a network it unregisters you?
Exact same issue with France/Bouygues
I had the exact same thing. Taking the train got my network disconnect and coming out from the underground train, I had to search manually or sometimes reboot my phone.
I updated the phone to R2BA020 manually with the SE Update Service and it seems to be much better (it also help on the battery and other stuff). Try it!

3G connectivity issue when leaving wifi zone

So, I've done quite some looking around in this forum and others but have not been able to to find an answer...
Here's the issue: when leaving an area with wifi connection, my galaxy s refuses to connect via 3G. Sometimes the "H"/"3G" is shown but no data is being transfered, sometimes the "H"/"3G" doesn't even show up. I've tried switching to plane mode and back, but that only helps sometimes. Switching to 2G and back doesn't help either, neither does re-selecting my provider from the provider list in the wireless settings or turning wifi on and off.
I'm on JF3 still. And here's the question: Is this an Eclair bug or firmware related? And is there a workaround, besides switching to plane mode and back every time I leave the house?
Your help is appreciated!
Thomas
I have similar issue too. I hated it.
It appears to be an Android problem.
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=2207
I have this problem too, running an optus one.
I think sometimes.. going into the APn seetings, clicking on the field, dont change anything and press okay.. so it refreshes the APN settings and it works?
Or I rescan for networks. and choose my optus provider again.
Such a fluke.. that first few days i got this phone didnt have this problem.. and now it does... hope it gets fixed soon.
Okay, thanks. will try my luck with the android developers...
I checked out the link to google code and there seems to be a solution: restoring the default apn settings (hit the menu button when in the apn list). Seems to work, at least for now, my 3G connection came on when I left wifi after being on wifi for a few hours.

Problem in making calls - works only if GSM 900 band is selected

Hi all
I am having a problem lately in making/receiving calls. The only easy the problem is solved is by using the band GSM 900. If the band selection option is set to determine automatically then I face the problems although the network is full.
The band selection is changed using *#2263#.
Note that the phone was working fine with the default band settings until one day I lost my emi and then had the samsung service centre restore it.
Have been having toys problem since then.
Any solutions?

i have a very similar problem. my issue also started a few days ago. only, i haven't tried using that frequency band that you mentioned. the thread that i started here didn't get too many replies, but i googled stuff and i found out that the issue is with the data connection.
try disabling the data network mode whenever you're not doing it. that has solved the problem with me so far. but, if you do find a way where you can use the data network mode and make calls easily, let me know also please.
thanks.
EDIT : i think you mean IMEI. and i didn't lose it. how did you manage to lose yours? i thought flashing was safe. which version of what ROM are you using now? and which were you using before?
Yes IMEI was what i meant. Did something stupid to loose my IMEI. And yes flashing is quite safe and does not touch your IMEI.
Was using DDJP2 when this issue started. And have flashed many roms but the issue still remains.
And i dont use any data network so my data network mode is also in disconnected mode.
And to further describe my problem.. when i make a call to a nokia phone the call almost gets connected and the nokia phone also gets lighted on with the small lock sign coming up... but the call does not connect completely ....
The only solution i could find (after weeks of digging) is to default the band selection to GSM 900... but i am sure that there should be a better solution for this.
I was using using eclair when my issue started. then i upgraded to froyo DDJP2 and my issue went away :/
but it has started again off late, no matter which ROM i use. I tried doing what you suggested, that is to set the default band to GSM 900. but that only for incoming calls. as in, i can receive all calls properly but my outgoing is still faulty. it just dials and then the "call ended" screen comes with the dial and message buttons. and when the data network mode is activated (it is by default. are you sure yours is switched off?) for me, my calls barely ever go through. there is a significant improvement when it is deactivated.
I'm looking for a better way out too.. I'll let you know if someone helps me out either. Good to know i'm not the only one here who has the issue.
Yes am sure.. the network data mode is always deactivated for me here.
Yes hopefully we can get some better solution here.
I lost my IMEI..samsung repaired my imei...nut im not getting calls or sms....even out going calls also.........plss help mee
i am havin a similar problem , sometimes (a lot ot times) people call me and my phone seems to be closed to them , but it works normally :S , that problem started when i flashed the phone and it remained after i flashed a lot of roms (even after factory reset) , and i cant understand if its a software issue or a device problem..
i would appreciate any help
and now i'm facing the issue even when the 900 band is selected (but data network mode is activated, which i don't want to disable because of whatsapp and ebuddy and gmail and tTorrent)
wondering if any recognized developer could help us out with this problem..

[Moto G4 with Amazon ads] Always losses carrier network after 24 hours

Hello everyone,
I just bought a Moto G4 16 GB with Amazon Ads for my wife, but we are facing a very annoying problem: the carrier signal always dies after 24 hours give or take. We tested with a different SIM card and the same thing happened. When this happens the device only shows "Emergency Calls Only" and we have to reboot the phone in order to get the signal back.
So, is anyone else facing this problem? Is this really a problem with this phone in particular or every moto g4 has this problem? Should I return the device to amazon?
Thank you very much for any information you can give me!

No problems here since I got my phone last week and I have T-Mobile. You might have to check your apn settings with your carrier.

I tested the SIM card in a different phone and it worked flawlessly (I also use T-Mobile). The strange thing is that the phone gets the signal very well during more or less one day, after that I have to reboot to get signal again.
Well, this is probably a problem in the device. I already asked Amazon to send a replacement.

Try my APN settings to see if it helps, but locations very important

Thank you, but I just use the t-mobile network. In fact, my carrier is called campusSIMs and it is a MVNO that uses t-mobile network. So, my APN configs are a bit different from yours.
However, I didn't know about this mobile data thing. I didn't touch the developer options. Maybe, it can be a good idea.
Thank you!
It won't be your APN settings since that controls your data settings. If the sim is ok then it could be your phone.

I'm seeing a similar problem with the data portion of the network (also on T-Mobile). While I'm able to send and receive calls and texts, data doesn't work. There's no indication that it's attached to LTE or even 3G (just a standard signal bar with no other information). I moved the SIM card back to the old phone it was in and it works fine.
Things actually worked yesterday, so something happened overnight to break it.

That could possible be the APN settings. Although usually it's the opposite, they don't work at first then they update from the network later on. Most times the APN settings will set themselves but on the odd occasion they need to manually edited. I don't use T-Mobile but the APN settings are easy enough to find.

Sounds like you need to manually enter the APN settings. What you describe is exactly what happens when it hasn't loaded an APN.
I'm "kinda" having an issue here. It's a little different though; the phone works ok for a while (for me about 3 hours, usually), and then I still get an LTE indicator, but have no network connection (get errors in apps/"No internet" page in chrome).
Other times, I lose LTE and get locked in 3g (H indicator), and can only get LTE back by going to Settings/More/Cellular Networks/ and toggle preferred network mode to 2g or 3g, let it connect (H or E), then toggle back to LTE.
Motorola responded to a bad Amazon review requesting I post asking for help on their forums.

I'm active over on their forums also and it's good to post over there in case you ever want to do a soak test. They look at your posts there when they ask for soak testers. As for your problem, I've seen it shift back and forth if you are in an area between towers and one isn't sending out LTE. If it were that I wouldn't think you'd get it back so easily. There's an app, don't remember the name, that will show the towers and signal relative to your location, If might be interesting to look at that.
Having the same issue with radio. Just replied to your post, Kalash.
Ok, we got a new phone from Amazon and it has the same problem. So, I believe this phone does not work very well with MVNOs.
I notice that the problem is that the phone cannot reconnect to the network after losing the signal. For example, if you go to an area with bad signal and, eventually the signal vanishes, the phone will not be able to reconnect to the carrier network. The phone only reconnects after reboot. Airplane mode does not solve the problem.
This does not happen with my Blu Life One X. So, I think it is a software problem.

That's not true on all mvnos' apparently. My wife's phone is on Consumer Cellular, an AT&T mvno and it's never done that. We've been in a no service area several times and it's always connected immediately when getting service back.
