Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone else is having issues with their gallery displaying grey boxes when they are trying to access pictures through their gallery? It displays pictures, but only after I let it sit for 20 or so seconds, or after I close then reopen the app. I have been experiencing it on android 5.0 only, on both my note 3 and galaxy s4.

I got a N9005 version of Note 3 for my wife recently and just now I noticed a problem with the gallery app, it is just blank, does not load anything from the sdcard, I tried take some pictures and it does show in the gallery but that's it. Sometimes it even does not show those pictures, have to clear data of gallery app and mediastorage. Anyone know why and can help me out? Thanks
I have searched the web, no one seems to have this problem?
So since the new gallery app, I think it came with Android 5. Whenever I download an image, from web or from Google drive it is blurred in the gallery, it is also blurred when I load it up full screen.
I have disabled 'Auto Enhance' I am not sure what this does but thought it could be the problem, this has made no difference. I have to edit every picture I download from my google drive, and enhance the 'deatil' option and 'sharpening' to fix each one. I don't want to be doing this as this is no doubt a drop in quality.
I also experience this problem on my Nexus 7 same android version. However my Nexus 10 does not seem to be doing the same, or if it is it is a lot less apparent. maybe just due to the higher resolution and screen size.
Any help would be appreciated....
Has no one got any ideas on this? I could post it in nexus 10 and 7 threads to, but don't really want to spam the forum.

Did you try to do wipe data and cache of this new gallery as well as the hidden folder /sdcard/DCIM/.thumbnails?
If that didn't work for you, you could try KitKat's gallery app or a completely different one ( see Play Store)

Yup, having this same problem with my Nexus 4 running Android 5.0.1
Screen captures are also blurry and pictures transferred from computer to phone are same.
Any solution would be helpful

I used to have the same problem in 5.0 . I even confirmed with quick pic and some other gallery. Ever since i updated to 5.0.1 problem seems to be resolved. Still searching for a good gallery app. The apps i for from play store are way too slow.
Has anyone noticed their gallery just vanishing after updating the s7 edge? I can't find it anywhere, after taking a photo it says there is no app to open the pictures.

google photos freeze when I delete a picture or video while is open, I can´t swipe photo, I have to go back. That happened with not every picture, especially with new picture or video.
I reinstallled google photos and install a new version from apkmirror, but nothing change.
Has anyone the same problem?
Am I the only one?
I wipe and reset the phone for other reasons, but Google photos still freezing when I delete an opened picture.

Hello,
Since Android 11 I have a similar issue.
When I take a pic and click on gallery menu (in the photo app, yeah I uninstalled OnePlus gallery), Google photo freeze a bit (like 1 or 2 sec) and there some glitches during 1 or 2 sec and after everything is ok.
Not a big deal but I didn't have this Issue with Android 10..
Also noticed some sporadically on A11....
