Running Galaxy Tab 2 with ROOTED 4.0.4
The stock gallery app refuses to set a wallpaper or share pictures. There's a pop up that says Player is not available. Check Network status and connected device.
What causes this problem and how can one fix it?

The standard camera app is sometimes getting stuck and showing a recent photo (not the latest) instead of displaying what I'm pointing the camera at. If I play a video, it then shows the last frame of the video overlaid over the photo. I also had a similar problem with a bar code scanning app.
I installed the bar code scanning app, but still is a problem. Rebooting sometimes fixes it, but after a couple photos the problem comes back.

I also experience same issue. This will happen after you play some video, e.g. launching NOVA game.
Only way is to restart the phone.
I tried many cam software but once this bug happen, you just need to restart phone.
Hi everyone,
I got a N9005 version of Note 3 for my wife recently and just now I noticed a problem with the gallery app, it is just blank, does not load anything from the sdcard, I tried take some pictures and it does show in the gallery but that's it. Sometimes it even does not show those pictures, have to clear data of gallery app and mediastorage. Anyone know why and can help me out? Thanks
On the G3 ROMs, when you are casting to the Chromecast, some apps are causing a Force Close when you pull down on the notification bar. I've compiled a list to indicate which apps will result in a Force Close, and which ones will work as normal.

Interestingly the force closes happen in this Rom and the cloudy pro Rom, but not in stock. In a lot Samsung device are fc too. Any idea?

Cloudyflex also suffers the same issue.
Just to be clear, it's SystemUI.apk that is FC-ing. Endless FC loops. Only reboot can help.

Somebody at Google+ managed to get a logcat about this problem
The following were the error i got in the logcat.
java.lang.RuntimeException: Error receiving broadcast Intent { act=android.media.VOLUME_CHANGED_ACTION flg=0x10 (has extras) } in com.android.systemui.statusbar

Hopefully Optimus can figure it out as I use localcast a lot on my phone. :good:
Decided to go back to stock G2 KitKat. No issues with chromecast.
Add to the list of apps that dont work "Web Video Caster". Plays the videos but as soon as you pull the notifications, Systemui goes in an FC craze

Actually I'm using Bruce's ROM, which is based on stock.
Anyway, there's already a fix for this issue now.. needs xposed framework though

I have this issue on the stock V10a-EUR firmware. Can somebody with the same firmware confirm? Now V10e is out maybe it solves this issue.
Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone else is having issues with their gallery displaying grey boxes when they are trying to access pictures through their gallery? It displays pictures, but only after I let it sit for 20 or so seconds, or after I close then reopen the app. I have been experiencing it on android 5.0 only, on both my note 3 and galaxy s4.
I have a T-Mobile s7 edge not rooted ( factory fresh ) the Samsung gear apk was pre installed on the phone when I got it .. I just updated it when i set up my Gear S watch to it.the watch works fine . no problems.. but when I open the app to use the ( home screen styler ).. I have a issue .. From the home screen of the app if I press the home screen styler or any of the links in the app.. They open then bounce back to the home screen again.. All of the links only open for about a second then back to the home screen.. rendering the app useless.. I have uninstalled the APK and reinstalled it ..I have cleared the cache.. from the app and from the phone in recovery . I even tried unpairing the Gear S to see if it's a compatibility issue.. but nothing.. I'm at a loss if anyone had this problem and knows how to fix... please help

Same Issue
I am having the SAME issue, When i first purchased the products (together) they worked seamlessly together. However, a couple of weeks later there was an update to the Gear Manager and this issue began. In the main screen of the Samsung Gear Manager you have:
Watch Faces
Notifications
Apps Layout
Send Content to Gear
Settings
Find my Gear
After the update the only option that functions is the "Send Content to Gear". All of the other options, when selected, open for about 1-2 seconds and then immediately revert back to the main screen. This MUST be an issue with the app as the phone still connects to the watch via BT and i can still install apps to the watch from the Samsung Galaxy Apps app. I still get text notifications, etc. on my watch, from the phone...so this is NOT a connectivity issue. In addition, i can still install new watch faces, etc. but cannot organize anything or change any of the settings on the watch from the Gear Manager app, only what i can do from the watch itself, which accounts for only a small portion of what can be done on the Gear Manager app...
I have factory reset the phone, and watch multiple times to no avail... I have also tried to uninstall the Gear Manager app, however it is a native app and CANNOT be uninstalled, only disabled.
I have contacted Samsung who were unable to help...they want me to send the devices out for "repair" even though i am 99.999999% sure this is an issue with the app...not the devices. Samsung says to contact Verizon (where i purchased the product from" and Verizon says to contact Samsung because it is a Samsung product and app... This is ridiculous to say the least. I dropped about $1000 on the two devices that are supposed to work seamlessly...
Are there any more reports of this issue?
I am having this same exact issue with My Gear S2 and Motorola Droid Turbo 2.
