Has bought the device second-hand from a comp firm with a guarantee for 1 month. After 1 month of no problems working the gadget began to turn off by itself at first on 27 % of the battery (original) .
Then 32, etc .
I has thought, that problem is in old battery. Has bought new CS-execsl with 1750mAh, but the device continued to switching off without any system/sequence .
It practically is not switching off when it on the charge! The hard reset is tried. Has already passed 5 months, the firm does not respond. At a full charge on both bateries it is switched off in 5 minutes of work/ full loading of the processor.
How it is possible to solve a problem? The service centre puts the overestimated sum.
Where can I found the newest ROM /shoul this help?

Welcome
Yes, perhaps upgrading the ROM could help
Please READ the Wiki, you´ll find several ROM´s and a way to upgrade
I personally would recommend any of Tomal ROM¨s
Good luck
I just tried to change ROM on 100%battery. Installed a little bit soft (resco explorer, core player, opera). The same problem. Switcging off after the same time of watching video on both batteries.
Can it be the hardware problem?
Yes!
It's a battery problem...
I had the same problem... at 27 -33%
probabily some unofficial charge set (like the car adapter) could damage your battery.
Don't buy another original battery, use ebay. The original it's like 60€, but on ebay is like 40€...
I have an original battery and from CS but the same problem happens.Do you know some other tricks (like paper trick)?
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=UniversalBatteryIssue
Check this out Mine turns off too but at 20%, but soon I'll order a 3200 extended and maybe the problem will disappear .
Mine too, it turns off at 20%, but well I have the original battery since 2005 so I can´t ask for more, I just bought a new one from Dukenukem and aparently it´s original
no result
I tried the "peice of tape on the second pin" but without any result.
Tried to push the battery (if it is the connection problem) but it is conecting there well.
Installed the newest ROM with WM6.1 by Luka16thebig, no result.
When device turns self off it make a short sound like "little fly hits a window".
Want to buy a new Asus P750.
So last week my N910F (rooted) ran down to 20% battery and so i put it on charge, thought nothing of it, A couple hours later the phone was dead, extremely hot to touch and just a blank screen with no charging lights, So i unplugged the charger removed the battery and let it cool for about 10 mins, when i put it back together it refused to turn on, tried both recovery and download modes but still nothing tried different chargers and still no lights, nothing. took it back to my local O2 shop to see if i could send it off for repair.
Got home this evening and O2 had kindly returned my phone to my home address, with a letter saying the following -
Thank you for sending us your phone to be fixed.
One of our engineers, has tested your phone and found that unauthorised rework has been carried out on the phone. Unfortunately, this prevents us from repairing it and we are, therefore returning your phone un-repaired.
well after reading this my heart sank and i was guessing i would have to make a insurance claim and hope my insurance would somehow replace it.
I then noticed on inspection of the phone, there was for some reason a new charging cable included with the phone!!!?. I looked a bit further and noticed they had taken the phone apart and it seems they have replaced the charging port, the battery also looks brand new and there isnt a scratch on it (I had previously marked it) So it seems they have indeed carried out some work, So i plugged it into the charger and guess what, it now works fine!!!!!!!!
So thank you very much O2 repair centre!! Im guessing they had to fix it first before they could test if it was rooted or not!!! their letter was a bit confusing though!!
Congratulations
Sent from my SM-N910F
Does anybody find it weird that o2 would fix mjw2k11's Note 4 only to send it back to him saying that they couldn't fix it because he had messed around with the firmware? Anyway I'm glad that you managed to get your Note 4 fixed.
i dont find it weird. It wont turn on right. but 'O2' wont repair if anyone modify's their phone. So they want to turn it on to see if it has been modified & unofficial but they cant even do that yet. The logical thing for them is to try to get it to boot up, which they did by changing a battery or fixing inside. (which solved the OP's problem). O2 then see's that Knox counters been tripped & they dont do anything further & send it back to the owner. Happy & lucky he is
My D802 (2 years and 2 months old) was running on the following
Rooted : Yes
Recovery : TWRP Blastagator v3.0.0.1
ROM : Blisspop v6.0.1 (FEB05 Build)
Bootstack : Hybrid
About a week ago, phone all of a sudden started heating up without any warning. The phone was idle, no gaming, no flashing, nothing. The screen went blank, the temperature continued rising, I could hear the phone working in the background, I tried turning the phone off. After an hour the phone was back to normal temperature, I tried to turn on the phone but it wouldn't turn on even after charging for a long time. Tried all methods (fastboot, download mode, factory reset etc) , even when I plugged in the device to a PC it did not even detect anything (not even as 'Qualcomm etc' as it does when it is bricked etc).
Took my G2 to the nearest authorised service center, we tried to troubleshoot where the problem was at the center by
- Swapping batteries (my phone still didn't work)
- My motherboard on a test G2 device at the center, the phone booted up but was stuck in the bootscreen (blisspop logo)
- A new motherboard on my G2 and it looked like the phone worked but the display was not
Representative's Conclusion: ROM has caused overheating, leading to shorting of the circuit in the motherboard and the heat also damaged the display. Repair costs equivalent to $300 (here in India).
What could be the root cause for the over heating which eventually led to mother board and display being damaged?
( I have been flashing custom roms on this specific phone for close to 2 years without any problem, and even the latest ROM and the build was working without problems for over 2 weeks before the phone over heated)
I really want to understand the root cause so that if it was something that I did which caused this or anything else , I can be more careful in the future.
Is there anyway I can salvage the phone with minimal expenditure or is it just an overpriced paperweight now?
Kindly help!
Hello everyone,
I've got a huge problem with my s7 edge. It started betweend first and second week of usage of my s7 edge, phone got totally freezed and only volume down + power could do something with my phone. After few weeks later, freezes were very annoying, very often (2-10 times per day) and it took longer to reboot my phone. I decided to download oficcial unbranded software from sammobile, I've flashed my phone with 5 files using odin and do full wipe. When my phone booted it was ok for maybe 2 hours and again, freeze! Ok, so press volume down + power... It boots! But after few hours later, (phone was 80%+ battery) I tried to check recent notifications, took my phone, pressed power button... and nothing happens. Trying to hold volume down + power for longer than 10s and also nothing happens. Phone is not charging and when connected to computer, I can hear a sound that something is connected, but windows says that my device is not working properly. When holding volume down + power, I can hear again sound of disconnecting and connecting device again. It's now almost 24hrs from this freeze. Phone is completely dead. After I got up from bed, pressed volume down + power again and I saw GALAXY S7 edge on my screen, but again, freeze and nothing happens for maybe 10 minutes, so again, volume down + power and phone is dead again. Nothing happens...
If you experienced simillar problem or have any solutions, please help!
Cheers!

Since flashing a new software didn't help then it is definitely a hardware problem. If it is a defective unit then it should be repaired or replaced for free by the repair shop, assuming you haven't rooted your phone.
I haven't rooted my device, only flashed with latest official not branded samsung rom. I left it to my carrier on warrianty, waiting for response. Up to 2 weeks...

Had that problem with my Note 4 bro. It was a broken EMMC memory chip and Samsung should repair it by swaping the motherbord under warranty. If you Rooted it or tripped knox, like i did, than you have a problem coz they will ask you to pay for the repairs. If that happenes remind them this.. I wish i knew this before i sold my note 4 for scrap.

Good luck.
Time for small update,
thanks for links TheOne741. Cellular operator had sent my phone to authorised service, but they offered somethink like 70USD (different currencies) for repair, when new mainboard for S7 Edge is around 400$! I declined their proposal and now my phone is in other service, I want them to replace it by new one, still waiting! Hope for quick response from this second service point.
I had a Galaxy i5700 a lot time ago and I managed to install android into de SD and the simptoms u are describing are the same that happened to me when the SD had bad sectors before completely dying...
I tried removing sd card and sim card too, nothing changes.

Samsung ditched eMMC and went to UFS. while it may be a memory issue, its not eMMC.
Don't pay anything for Your phone. I've had one really sh***y service that told me the sim card slot is broken (on a device that I didn't even know that it has a sim card slot/tablet) and now I have to pay 100% same amount of money as the value of my whole tablet. That device wasn't even rooted. Nothing. I even had a sh***y insurance that didn't help me either. So I was left there with a choice of paying (device was around 100 usd) 100 usd(for a sim card slot repair that I don't even have idea if it exists, I've had phones with broken sim card slots and they were working fine) or just buy a new one. So I decided to call a "shopping lawyer"(I just payed for the call) I've no idea how to properly say that in english, sorry guys. And then the lawyer told me that I need to say that if they will not fix it on warranty then I'll go to court. Week later I got a letter that my device will be repaired as soon as they can do it, and that they are really sorry. After 14 days I got my tablet back, fully working.. well. They scratched the screen a lot so I just sold it later. Kinda sad with the scratches cause it was a really great GPS. 7 inches.. big screen.
So in conclusion.
Don't pay anything. Just use the warranty. Even if the device was rooted You have a full right to a warranty repair. And since You didn't root Your device then You're fine. It's a hardware defect and they have to pay for it and fix it.
Yup, I did not send my phone on warranty but on suretyship because my phone was only around month old! And it is obviously hardware problem, but first service tried to scam me. I have been reading tons of articles about scratching screens, breaking plastic frames, resending "repaired" laptops without few parts or even charger from very first service that my phone was sent to. And for that I took my phone away from them in a blink of an eye. Now I'm just waiting for expertise or replacement from other service.
I'm having a similar issue... hope somebody has an answer
Quick update after 40 days without phone. Motherboard is replaced. Not a whole device....
Now I want a IP68 standard confirmation. Authorised service doesn't want to give me any kind of document that confirms dust and waterproof (it should mean that my phone is assembled correctly!)
I won't sign any document that I received my phone without this.
What should I do? Where I can get any document about IP68 confirmation? Should I send my phone to another service just to confirm IP68 standard?
Once ur phone has been opened the ip68 cannot be restored unless Samsung is doing the seal.
Trimis de pe al meu SM-N9005 folosind Tapatalk
I received my phone with confirmation of all norms and standards that producent delivers. It doesn't have any signs of disassembling. Like new one. 37 days of usage and 40 days of servicing. Nice ratio
Thanks for help and information!
I've just bought a new Note 4, under settings and system it says it's the n910F version, but cpu-z says the bootloader is N910SKSU2COL1. If I boot it in safe mode (home button + volume up + power), it's says
Android system recovery <3e>
LMY47X.N910SKSU2C0J4
recovery mode (home button + volume down + power) gives me the warning in korean language then states product name as SM-N910S
Also, and what bothers me the most is that I have a huge battery drain on the phone. I tried wiping the cache and hard resetting the fone for the 4th time now, still getting a massive battery drain doing basically nothing. I've just lost 15% in less than 40 minutes from a 100% charge. My guess is that the phone was "badly" updated from KitKat to Lollipop (KNOX warranty void is on 1, and i can't get the OTA update for Marshmallow).
I would like to update it to 6.0.1 (or again to 5.1.1 myself) to see it that fixes the problem, but I am not sure how to do it since my case is a little bit "particular" if i may say so.
I come from an iphone, so any help would be extremely appreciated, I am completely lost.
Thanks
PS : can't find the option to attach screenshots of my settings and battery.

My advice Dont flash anything just use as it is otherwise you will lose what you have.
Long story short i bought also n910c and in download mode and cpuz says n910s but when i bought it was running marshmallow n910c firmware and it runs smooth so i didn't flash anything cuz if i flash original n910s firmware I'll lose 4g and there will be no option in settings to switch beetween 4g/3g/2g and it will show roaming signal all the time and also n910s firmware included korean bloatware apps that i dont want.
I am also stuck on june marshmallow update i can't update anymore.but still working very stable.my knox is also void but who cares about useless knox.
Try another battery cuz i think mine is just fine give me about 4+hours screen on time .maybe yours is not orignal or low class battery.

You can update to Marshallow if you flash n910s official firmware but trust me you will hate it and regret.
My best suggestions will be sell it and get rid of it and get another model.

Actually i went back to the store i bought it from, and they are all like this (N910S or V models appearing as N910F). To make things worse, even the labels under the batteries say N910F
The worst part being that horrible battery drain.

The 1 shows n910f everywhere They are all refurbished
They can fake everything but not motherboard thats y in download mode your still shows n910s
Mine shows everywhere n910s even under the battery but the software only show n910c.cuz not refurbished
only they change software for multiple languages and 4g unlocking.
Check your battery if there is a chip kind of thing under the battery it self
Thats a chip for nfc and fast charge i beleive if it's not there then definitely your battery is fake.

Try this trick
Completely empty your battery to 0% until phone shutdown automatically
Then try to power on again if still have some charge left make it empty.
Then charge full to 100% while phone is turned off.
Unplug Then turn on phone it will be 98 or 99% plug in again and leave in charge for 15min.
Try this trick for 3 or 4 charges it will solve the battery issue and dont let phone heat up a lot it drains battery lot faster in any device.

Already left it empty itself to zero this afternoon. Charged it back to 100% (took around 5 hours!!), wiped cache, factory reset, then lost 15% in around 30 minutes just setting it up (only installed cpu z, phone info and genuine galaxy. The rest was downloading the updates for the pre-installed apps, through wifi). I'll try what you said, but knowing that upgrading the phone to marshmallow will basically break it makes me pretty upset. Maybe i'll try to get a refund.

I'll try tomorrow, but they policy is replacement, no refund. I don't wan't another refurbished model with the same problems.
Another question : my bootloader and csc versions match the korean model, but not the pda, which apparently dosen't even exist (N910FXXU2COL1). Is it custom or something? How do they do that?

They do through a dongle box called z3x or octopus this boxes they use to unlock sim for any device and fake the firmware.
Trust me the pda version is n910s also but its modefied and masked to n910f via this box .
Anyway they do stuff for all brands not just samsung.
1 of my friend bought note 3 sm-n9005 but i check the motherboard it was n900p sprint.i didn't tell him cuz he dont actually got any knowledge about this stuff he use as a simple smart phone.and he is very happy with it
More you know about flashing and rooting more you will mess up with the phone.

Got a refund. Found a 910F with matching everything (pda, csc...). Slightly pricier, but if that gets me rid of the OTA upgrade and battery drain issue, that's good for me.

Yes it did. I'll get it myself on monday, i'll take more time to double check everything before leaving the shop.
Good decision to get rid of this phone, sadly its getting more and more difficult to find second hand original phones as the market is flooded with refurbished phones from China. Its big business there...
Bought a Note 2 - brand new in its sealed box etc for my wife. Turned out to be a refurbished phone. I did not know and was concerned I was buying a clone...sadly its not a clone but a rebuild phone with cheap imitation parts.

Exactly. Went to 3 different stores to find that all the units they are selling, while appearing cosmetically new, are actually refurbished Korean version flashed to appear as international (even the label under the battery had been replaced).

Hello, I know this thread is probably dead but internet doesn't die, I need this exact version of software..why?
Well I have been using a note 4 for a very long time and the motherboard got a problem and I took it to the repair guy to change, but he put exactly this type of motherboard software with the exact problems as yours ( it only gets 3G/4G when there enough network and can't use it at home and yet my previous board was working flawlessly), at first i thought it's because of software being outdated (5.1.1) but nothing got solved even after updating, tried different custom Rom like nemesis refined but didn't solve the problem so I decided to take it back, now this guy is claiming it was working very well and for me to get a replacement I must put back the software that was there, by that he means the new softwares I put spoiled the network so my problem I was very stupid, I didn't make a back up before flashing new Rom, so please anyone who can provide a link where I can download this Rom, or someone with it to upload for me please am desperate. ( it's PDA version doesnt exist on sammobile but it appears they normally put it on refurbished phone like cloning the software of N910S to appear as N910F .Thanks
