I try to modify LgSystemUI.apk . i compile and copy meta inf and android manifest but after flashing on phone i get systemui has stopped working.
what am i doing wrong? Rom is stock lollipop.

Hi, i'm trying to add new language to my rom but when i recompile framework-res.apk i get boot loop.
when i recompile framework-res.apk to my HTC Desire its working good but on my Desire HD not,

BTW i'm using apk manager 4.9
1. Did you use a stock framework-res - if you compile modded framework, apktool will not compile most of the time
2. Did you replace another language folder in values or did you ADD the folder?

I'm trying to destroy the hideous crt screen off animation from my device on KOT49H build , i'm gonna try to explain what i did step by step
First I pulled the framework-res.apk from system/framework
then i installed it , apktool if framework-res.
then i decompiled it , apktool d framework-res.apk
then i edited , bools.xml entry "animatescreenlights" from false to true (rubbed me a little wrong , everybody said it should be the reverse , true to false but when i opened it , it was false , i checked like 6 times)
then recompiled it using apktool b framework-res framework-res.apk (i had moved the original file before this so no overwriting.)
Copied Meta-inf and android manifest from the original one to the edited one using 7zip
then i signed it using android multi-tool.
and Bootloop.
I actively used these and it used to work on my LG P920.
I used Xblast tools to get rid of the crt off animation , but it wouldn't work for some reason. (I'm not stupid , i activated the module , everything works just not that.)
I repeated these steps from android multi-tool GUI , install , decompile , edit , recompile , copy meta-inf and android manifest to the new one , sign.
Still bootloop.
My JDK is properly set up in the environment variables.
Using , regretfully , Windows 8.1 x64.
Any suggestions ?

I am trying to get 3minit battery mod working on OptimusG3 1.4.1 and for that I need to decompile my system ui. I use apkmultitool for Decompiling my apks but with this systemui it doesn't quote work. It gives an error when Decompiling normally alnd when choosing decompile system apk, it asks for a dependee apk. I tried giving it both framework-res.apk and lge-res.apk but none worked. I deodexed the systemui.
Can anybody please help, give me a hint of suggest a better working tool?

So i pulled stock system folder and deodexed, zipaligned and signed.
Wanted to try flash it by twrp. So i copied one of custom roms meta inf folder but i get sysmapfile error.
Created certificates with signapk but there is no update-binary and update-script file. So i searched and learnt sth about update-script but what is exactly update-binary do? How can i edit for my rom or create one? can i use one of them with all devices rom?
Btw editing update-script didnt solve my sysmapfile error. Can someone guide me about meta-inf folder? All other articles just tells using another roms meta inf but it simply didnt work for me.
The update-binary file is different from one ROM to the next. For example, a CyanogenMod binary will be different from one in a custom ROM based off stock. In general, look at http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Doc:_About_Edify for an explanation of what the binary is. You will need to pull a binary from a custom ROM based off stock, preferably from the same version of Android.
There have been a long list of tutorials on how to properly de-compile recompile and flash framework-res, i have tried many methods but was unsuccessful in flashing the edited framework,and if i try to flash the original framework-res then also it boot-loops,so is there a proper solution on how to properly Edit and recompile and flash, i use TMA and sign with original signature,but then also it boot loops.
