Google are charging USD$20 for a country specific ac adapter. i'm wondering if i can omit this and use the supplied US charger + a travel adapter to save myself some $$?
or simply stick to usb charging from a computer?
or even usb charging from the wall via an apple ac/usb adapter?
*edit* sorry, i just found this thread... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=612959
mods pls remove this if neccessary. thanks =0)
Those of us in Singapore would prefer to just get an AC to USB power adapter from the shops. US$ 20 is expensive!
Does anyone know if both the wifi 7" and 10.1" can share the same power adapter and cable ?
Yes, I am still using my Gtab7 power and cable.
Hello,
Can onyone that owns a Nexus player tell me if the power supply has multi voltage e.g. will it accept 220V next to 110V as well? Just ordered a US version that comes with US plug and probably 110V of input power. The plug is not an issue, there are adapters for that, but the voltage could be more of an issue.
Thanks,
Mark
No problem with 220V input on the US adaptors.

So did it work ? I want to order Nexus Player too from US and i wonder if it will work with simple travel adapter.
I'm using NP ordered from Amazon with US power supply in Australia (240v). It's a universal voltage power supply and it just needed a simple plug adaptor to make it fit our sockets.
Hi.
I'm reading contradicting information regarding MHL for the Note 4.
Can I get HDMI out without external power?
Some adapter say S4 and above can power the adapter (11 pin) without external power other say external USB power is required.
Also I'm not interested in paying $70 for an official Samsung Adapter, I want an ebay special... I just need 720p out but I can supply 5v.
Thanks.
why dont you just get a netgear ptv3000. works great and is completely wireless.
Bcos that's TOTALLY useless for my application.

If you're connecting to a TV, I found out a while ago that it depends on the TV and the adapter.
Some adapters have to have external USB power to work.
Other adapters can be powered directly through the HDMI cable but that depends on if the TV supports that feature, if it doesn't then you have to use the external USB power (You can use a spare USB port on the TV).
I hope this Helps
It's for a mobile solution, Video Transmitter which only accepts HDMI v1.4.
Do you know which MHL adapters don't require external power, or is it a cable/phone thing? I could get external 5v, but then I'd need a BEC or another battery.

The Note 4 has MHL v3; has anyone successfully connected it to an HDMI source without external 5v with an ebay cable? If so which one?
Thanks.
Anyone know how this would be charged in the UK? Are there special USB-C chargers, would a shaver adaptor work with that 2 pin charger the phone comes with?
I already have a USB 3.1 hub with charging ports so using the cable on it's own should be fine just want a plug charger for in the work.
I live in the UK, my two prong adapter is plugged into a shaver/euro adapter and it works fine.
Thanks for that, just wondered if a shaving adaptor would be able to handle the power required but I suppose a shaver's power requirements are probably comparable to a phone
Go to Sainsburys. You can buy a European to UK adapter, rated at 10watts. Lot safer than shaver plugs
BTW I read yours has not come yet. Mine came with a separate box, I wasn't expecting with a proper UK charger in. I looked at the zuk official website and they have the fast charge ones for this - 5.3v +2amps. Or might be 3amps..the one that is in the box is not a fast charge. I got some plugs off Amazon that send power down the data usb wire. They just plug in line and help alot
