Recently upgraded (if you call it that) from kk to lollipop and my S Note no longer works. When I try to open it I get a message that says "A new version is available. Update now?" When I hit "ok," it automatically goes back to my home screen. Anyone have this issue and/or a solution as to how to fix it?

I just bought a used Vibrant with a sticky back button, and hoping a firmware update might fix it. Aside from the trouble getting Keis to install properly, when I finally got the phone connected, it ways this model can't be upgraded....any ideas how to flash a new version, and where to get the files? Thx
There are currently no updates for the vibrant
Should be one soon but no official word yet
Hmm, the guy at the Bell store said there was one for mine, and a coworker has a newer version than I do...he has i9000ugjh2, while I have I9000UGJG9 (guess I'm asking about Baseband, not Firmware? new at this stuff)..
Or, any other thoughts why my back button would be not working half the time? If I hit menu, the back button lights up and works fine, but sometimes I need to actually press the area to activate it..

Ok, so i am reposting this hoping that someone could help me with my problem. maybe I have not explained it enough the last time.
I am still not able to update my g7102 to 4.4.2 kitkat, it always goes well everytime i try to update it via Odin (from Sammobile) or OTA (450mb). but here's the problem, It always gets stucked at the screen where I get the phone model with "Rebooting Recovery" in blue. I had to wait for around 20mins before it go to android animation where it has a green line below showing that its applying the update, then it goes to the setup wizard but touchscreen doesnt work. I tried turning it off an on but I had to wait for another 20mins and touchscreen still doesnt work.
I want to try anything first before going to the service center and pay since I got this from a different country and dont think if it still has warranty.
I really want kitkat on my phone. I hope someone could help me with this.
Thanks guys!
I am using Lg D802.For many days, I tried to update KitKat to lollipop but I always used to get the message "phone is not registered yet". So finally 2 days back I updated to lollipop using LG pc suite. Message on the system said that the phone is updated but unfortunately the phone has stopped working now. The touch does not respond at all and Clicking something selects something else. Even now there is no signal on the phone. Is it a soft brick..?? The main reason to update to lollipop was I was unable to host WiFi hotspot from my mobile.. using apps like shareit or superbeam I was able to send everyone everything but no was able to send something to me.. And now this has happened. Please suggest what to do..?? Whether I should install lollipop or go to KitKat.. Please note that hard reset did not work and again I am getting lollipop only.. Plus now my phone is displaying only 10gb whereas it has 32gb internal in it... Help me out.. Please tell me how to install and which one to install. I am worried that my phone might get bricked if not done properly..

Please refer to this thread.... Soln is not available... It's not because of baseband problems...
I wonder if anyone could help? I recently purchased a second hand Galaxy S7 Edge. It appears the person I bought it off has had the phone network unlocked by a third party and not through his network provider. Since that the phone is suffering from a number of minor but annoying issues.
1) At start up the phone will notify at least twice that Loggingservice has stopped.
2) KNOX will display a message every 5 minutes "Unauthorised actions have been detected, please restart your device" and restarting the device does not help.
3) When attempting to install software updates OTA, it goes through the entire process and when the phone reboots at the end and after android has started up a notification will pop up saying "Unable to install software update, please contact service center."
I have had a browse and the phone appears not to be rooted, software is official and knox counter shows 0 (0X000000)
Does anybody know if there is a way to undo all of this? Even if it re locks the phone, at least I will be able to sell it on in proper working condition and get one that is properly compatible.
Thanks
Try flashing the Samsung stock ROM. See:
