I just wanted to upload this and to share it with everyone on Xda just in case any one wanted the full stock TMO Lollipop Rom.
Just be warned this is the FULL TMO Update to LOLLIPOP, this is not modified in any way.. So if you flash this in odin you may not be able to go back to KITKAT.. Just a Heads up.. I know there was issues with LOLLIPOP on the Galaxy S5, but only a few people were having issues..

Not flashable. You have to use odin for this one..
It seems like a couple of threads have posted the STOCK file that anyone can download from the sammobile site. I guess I don't understand why this is needed since anyone can go to that site and download the file if they are just looking for the completely stock version.
Just wondering...

Sometimes it can be slow to download via sammobile /t-mobile. This is an alternative..
Shot I for one am happy there's mirrors. Took 2 hours to download from sammobile when it should of took like 10 minutes or less
Thank you for this thread... works a whole lot faster than sammobile link:thumbup::beer:

I just odin flased this file, and the strangest thing happened. My device wasn't wiped..... it dirty flashed lollipop over my existing kitkat install.... I though ODIN brought your device back to stock completely..... what am I missing here?
For now I am running a factory reset, then reflashing it via odin. But why did this happen?

When you flash an update in Odin it doesn't erase your internal storage so all your app, pictures, and videos will still be there. If you want to get rid of your files and apps just do a factory reset. It'll be a fresh new update with no downloaded apps, pictures, videos, and any other files you had before the update.

How is it running via dirty flash?
Mine was running fine.. but I don't like to dirty flash anyways

My dirty flash was super slow, and kept getting force kills. Now factory reset and on pure stock.. I've decided to keep life simple and forgoe rooting for now.... just disabling a lot of the bloat apps via the application manager. I don't have the time right now to try a bunch of ROM and tweak things... So far stock lollipop feels smooth and no issues so far.

Sounds like you are not completely stock, the error shows it found modded files in your system partition. Odin the full mk2 tar file first and try again.

I was hoping to avoid doing the full flash again. I have seen some threads of some Nexus 7 members flashing the required files they were so kindly provided so they can move forward to the 4.4.2 update similar to my situation. If I can't then I guess I will have to suck it up and erase her info and start over.

You don't have to erase her info, just flash the mk2 tar file and then install the update. No data wipe required.

This forum is for the Sprint Galaxy S4, and it seems you have the T-Mobile device. Here's a link to the tmobile forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-tmobile
MK2 is the version number that is specific to Sprint. T-Mobile may have the same number or not. But all you need to do is download the .tar file for the latest 4.3 ROM that is available for your phone, put the phone in download mode, and flash via the ODIN utility that you can download as well. This is not a complete guide, so see the relevant threads in the TM forum. Alternatively, there may be a T-Mobile .tar for 4.4.2 that you can ODIN directly. It is up to you to see if it wipes data or not. The one for Sprint does.
I posted in the noob thread with no response. .I've searched xda and the net via google.
My issue is non logical and selective programs that will not allow down loading to the internal storage. .yes I saw the long list of not downloading to the sd card, but mine is internal memory. The external sd works fine.
I was running bone stock 4.4.2 for a week no issues. I rooted via cf autoroot and lost ability to save files from any program I found ..zedge..swift key language pack..chrome etc.
Last night did a full wipe and factory reset in twrp. Then restored from backup the stock nae found here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50668765
And still have same issues except this time Internet Explorer is allowing image downloads to the internal memory?? Other programs are still the same.
Thanks
EDIT
Update - Found TWRP has an issue that causes loss write abiltity to internal storage with some roms after you do a restore...read about in in the Sacs Thread

Last night started reading thru Sacs thread and found it to be an issue for some and not others. I still do not fully know, but in reading, some say TWRP works, just not with all roms

still waiting and praying to Thor that we get root for VZW GS5 soon

Hi everyone,
I am new to android mods and such and I may very well sound like an idiot. However, even though I know little to nothing of what I am talking about I am in dire need of help. I never did any heavy modifications like custom ROMS but I merely rooted it and installed some tweaks via the xda installer. After toying around with one of the tweaks I seemed to cause an annoying random reboot which would happen when I would sometimes go to unlock my phone. Fine, I could deal with a few reboots here and there. However, my phone recently got stuck on the AT&T loading emblem and stood in my pocket for 2 hours draining a lot of battery and has not been resolved since. I am unable to enter safe mode and I tried a few guides to flash it to stock but I honestly have NO IDEA what I am doing. I am aimlessly following guides here but there is so much variability therefore I feel as if I would have the most success with personalized help.
What do I do? Please use simplified terms along with (relatively) full steps. For example, if I were to flash something I would go into recovery mode with home + vol up button factory reset, and the AT&T logo would still be there, frozen.
Things I have tried but have probably done wrong:
Factory reset
Install custom ROM
All and ANY help is appreciated at this point, I am desperate.
Thank you,
Suprr
Also, my ultimate goal is to install http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2520418 this mod, or at the very least get the stock ROM working so my phone is usable.

I am assuming that you havent yet taken the OTA update to NB1 and your base is MK2. Or, do you have a MDB/MDL bootloader?
If MK2: You have to flash the full stock Mk2 firmware using odin. Download the "Full odin tar files" from the All things ATT thread
if MDB/MDL: Download the stock firmware from sammobile and flash using Odin.

You're on mk2 firmware now. You'll need to root it using safe root and then put safestrap on in order to flash that rom. Look in the general forum for index, all thing mk2 and nb1. There's a lot of info there so read it carefully

So, I was on the journey to rooting my S5, and I seem to have run into a block in the road.
The issue: My phone gets stuck at the 'Samsung Galaxy S5' screen when being rebooted/turned on. After sitting there for a while, it goes into recovery mode.
The cause: In order to root my phone using Towelroot, I was told that I would have to flash my OS back to 4.4.2 (it is currently up-to-date). When I tried flashing it back using Odin, the transition was a failure. I was then told that I would need to switch my kernel to the ncg version, which I proceeded to do by following a guide on these forums, also using Odin. Odin said that the transition was a success, but now my phone won't turn on and I am being faced with the aforementioned issue.
Am I screwed? I'm assuming that I'm not, seeing as my phone definitely isn't hard-bricked. How can I fix this?
Thanks in advance for responses!

There is always a possibility of root in the future but as of now, no. And no, you can't go back. S5's aren't worth as much as they were. I, personally would sell this on swappa and then buy one on swappa with a different build.

Where could I find the stock firmware? I already downloaded what I thought was the stock firmware, and Odin said that the flash wasn't successful. I've tried downloading the most recent OE1, and 4.4.2, and everything just shows up as a failure.
