Try these
Option 1:
Try turning on "Smart Stay (Screen stays on as long as you are looking at it)". Settings > Display.
Option 2:
Try turning off "Auto Screen Off During Calls (Turn on proximity sensor during calls)". Click the Phone App > Menu Button > Call Settings.
Option 3:
Try doing a Battery Pull while the phone is on and wait 30 seconds before putting it back in.
I have tried the option 1 and 2 already but I can't find d second option, where is call setting option in menu.? I can't find it, I find call setting option in logs but dere isn't any option of proximity sensor Plz. Help

The Proximity Toggle is under Phone > Option (left) softkey > call settings. Not System settings. (Call settings has never been under system settings on EU phones)
Also, is 'The PowerKey ends Calls' enabled under Answering/Ending calls there? Because when it is, you can't you the on/off key to turn on the screen.

There's a thread called "Proximity Sensor" or something similar. You might want to give out a read. And search is also your friend. Don't be scared of using it.

it happens when i press the dial buttom even if the HD is on the table
and pls assume i am well familiar with the search options
Connect to Wifi and check for software updates dude....
Go to Settings -> About Phone -> System software update and check for updates. I've had similar problem but it was resolved immediately after a quick soft update to the latest firmware version. Also note that the update is about 18 MB so it will be a good idea to use Wi-Fi connection if you're not on an unlimited traffic plan.
it's solved!!
thanks for the help
please tell me you know what option this is.
I make a call -> right before it starts ringing i get 3 vibrations.
I put the phone to my ear -> i take it away -> the screen comes on -> 3 vibrations...
Any ideas?
haptic feed back
Also in the phone app s setting see if you can disable that

i turned off heptic feedback in the default diale (i`m using dialer one)
i turned off heptic feedback in the cyanogen mod settings
i turned off heptic feedback in the sound settings
still vibrates when the screen goes on
Try going to accessibility settings and see if you have kickback enabled
it was the freaggin profiles...they have settings that say: always vibrate for some reason!
Every time the phone rings while it's in my pocket, I manage to disconnect the call when I accidentally touch the screen as I take the phone out of my pocket. Am I missing something here?

Unless you want to disable the feature of hovering over the screen.
i suggest you enable the swipe screen in setting menu lock screen.
It will prevent accidental start up or disconnection of apps and phone calls.
I have noticed with my i9505, even though in wifi advanced settings i have the setting to keep wifi on during sleep to to on, it sometimes seems like its off once my phone turns the screen off.
there has been a few times when i have set a few apps to download, then ive let the screen go off a few seconds later, i have then turned the phone back on a few minutes later to find that the downloads have not yet started, and they just seem to instantly start when i turn my phone on.
is this normal?
thanks

Thank you Hassan, I've not had time to try this out yet, but it seems the setting i am looking for.
Did you find any alternative solution as this one spends 10%more battery.

Thanks man. What i did before was download terminal emulator and ping google.com so it wont drop its connection
It spends 10% more battery. keeps the machine warm. also you have to repeat it every time you reset the phone.
It dont sound like a solution.
Any solutions ?

Something strange is going on with my N4, every time I try to open my settings it just closes it again almost instantly. Also I've noticed that if I turn off wifi it turns itself back on straight away and then it goes into silent mode for a second (speaker symbol with dash through it) then back to full volume. I've tried restarting it and uninstalling recent apps. I am thinking about doing a factory reset but don't want to if I can help it... But I can't anyway because I can't get into settings! Nothing shows up in virus scans. Screen briefly flashes black regularly too. Any suggestions please? Thanks.

Try going to safe mode by press and holding the power button which will take you to the power menu, press and hold power off option and then you will get a safe mode popup, press Ok and after a reboot check if the settings open.

I can get the settings to stay open in safe mode but still same problem when I restart it again...
