[Q] Keeping NFC on while the screen is locked/off - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'd like to be able to unlock my device and turn the screen on when I scan an NFC chip, but NFC is disabled until you have already unlocked the device by default. I have read that there are ways to keep NFC on while the screen is off on other devices, but haven't seen anything for the XT907. Anyone know if this is possible for this device? And if so please tell me how?
If it helps, I'm running CM12 on the 4.4.2 kernel/bootloader

You have to install x-posed framework and look for the NFC Lock screen bypass.
I had it on my phone but took it out for security reasons.

Does that module work with Lollipop?

Just rooting disables some apps?

I am all ready to root/flash custom roms ignoring knox counter for my note 3. I have read that just rooting the this device disables or breaks functions like screen mirroring etc. I have used previously Note 2 and S3 and rooted flashed them n number of times but never heard this.
If yes what are the other functions that may get disabled or broken? I like and use allshare (Samsung link) all the time. Does it also gets disabled?
Regards,
Screen mirroring gets broken from custom kernel, not Root AFAIK, as for other things, well KNOX doesn't work that's about it.

I think screen mirroring gets disabled pretty much when knox flag gets disabled (non-stock kernel/recovery mostly).
Just rooting should not disable that (unless maybe if you trigger knox), but might disable programs that check for root (like some banking apps) - but now there is an xposed module even for that

No tethering & portable hotspot menu on i337z

Hi Folks,
I have an bootloader locked/rooted/stock Cricket/AIO (AT&T) S4 i337z with 4.4.2 TUUBNE2, and it doesn't have a menu option for enabling tethering. Most of the guides out there are geared to bypassing the carrier check, but that's not my issue, I simply don't have a menu option to configure tethering at all. I've tried everything I could find to enabled it, but it seems the menu/feature is turned off or removed somehow. Any gurus out there know what controls visibility of this menu, and/or have any ideas on how I can get it to show up?
PS. I have not been able to get Safestrap to boot another rom successfully so at least for the time being that's not an option. Also, I know there are 3rd party methods (apps) for enabling hotspot, but I'd really like to stick with the native one if possible.
Thank you!

[Q] set swipe + pin(pattern, etc) lock on note 3

Hello
I want to have swipe plus additional security on my lock screen for Note 3. Is this possible? I am rooted, and have xposed installed, but couldn't find any modules that supported this. I'm still on 4.4.2.
thanks
Hello
No one?
I tried using gravity box's swipe before pattern for this, but my phone stuck on lockscreen and I couldn't unlock it. After many tries, and prayers, I finally unlocked the screen and promptly unchecked this.
Any other way to use this?

[Q] Reactivation lock working on a rooted N910F running Android 5.1.1? Possible?

When my N910F had Android 4.4.4, I could easily enable both reactivation lock and remote control, even though the phone was rooted and had a customary recovery installed (TWRP). Now with Android 5.1.1 I can only enable those options if the phone is NOT rooted. As soon as I root the device, I'm unable to activate either of the options (I check the checkbox and then it immediately unchecks itself). Is there any way around this issue? I would really like to use both root access and the security features (especially reactivation lock). Is there a solution to the problem?
No,it seems any violence to KNOX will let it cannot work.
Everything worked perfectly on Android 4.4.4.
KNOX was there, as well as root access. And still those security features worked fine.

Is it possible to bypass FRP* without bootloade unlock?

I bought cracked essential phone on ebay and replace screen today(aliexpess part is wondeful!!!)
But realize this phone is bad esn & locked by FRP.
Actually bad esn is not important for me cuz I am staying outside of US, but FRP lock is serious problem
I read the thread about essential phone bypass but It is not possible to use that method cuz my phone is not bootloader unlocked.
I also try to bypass by refering* google pixel method one, but not possible as well(bypass app is 'corrupted'. Can install but cant launch)
I search on google for more than 5days and now exhasted T T.
Is there anyone did bypass FRP on same situation with me?
