Hey I was wondering do anyone know if can change my android market on my samsung sung galaxy tab my version is froyo 2.2 so how can I change it? Because the market version I have now doesnt show the applications when I search thank you!
You m ay not have access to those applications due to country restrictions. Try "Market Enabler" from the market (actually you will need to have a root privileges to do this) and try a country like say, I dunno, the USA for example.
Also, if you've changed the LCD Density, you won't get apps that aren't compatible anymore. So you might want to change it back (something like 240 is the default, I think)
I have a few questions before I go & buy the Nexus 7 that I'm hoping someone can answer
1) I will be rooting my Nexus 7 to change the LCD density (Tablet UI ftw!) What i want to know is will this break an functionality of the Tablet or apps? I've heard of Google Play Movies no longer working with root, is this true?
2) Does the Nexus 7 have an LED light on it?
3) Will I still be able to get official updates if the device is rooted & if so what will happen when I apply the update? (I only plan to change the LCD density & that is all)
Thank in advance guys & girls

1) there are mixed opinions on that. I've seen people posting that it does. I've seen people posting that it doesn't. its a matter of playing with the values but comes at risk of your device not booting up. plenty of people got in a bind over it. I've seen 160 being a good value. those 170 ones seem to cause alot of issues although some still had issues with 160. its sketchy..lol. I believe there is a workaround for the Google movies to play while rooted. can't remwber where its at.
2)No, not that I've seen or noticed. you have to turn screen on to tell if its fully charged or not. you could always install a battery app that sets off a notification or sound when its fully charged.
3) technically, yes you should be able to still receive updates if rooted. just make sure to use Voodoo OTA rootkeeper to backup/save your root first. then you update(in which you will loose root) as you normally would unrooted. then open voodoo app up and press the restore tab to restore your backed up root file and now you rooted after new update.
now the kicker is that alot of times if you change something in system files or make build.prop changes, the Over The Air(OTA) update will fail. As it runs prechecks for those files to be stock configuration before it applies the update. when it detects something is changed, it fails. now you could just manually install the update and it "should" override all of that. its the complete update and doesn't run those particular checks, I believe. most of the time, from what I've heard, the OTA only updates certain files or whatever that has been updated in new release. Manually updating gives the complete updating of everything(I could be wrong though). kinda like installing the whole updated firmware into nexus vs. OTA just updating certain files.
now with you changing the LCD density n all that, I'm not sure if it'll cause update to fail. if changing that resides in system files or build.prop, then it will likely fail. hopefully someone else will chime in on this also.
1. Some apps only support certain LCD densities so if you change the density to something uncommon, some apps might not show up in the store. I'm not sure about the root and movie situation.
2. If you mean a notification LED, then no.
3. If all you do is root (no custom recovery or ROM), then you'll still get updates. If you apply the update, then you'll lose root.
Thanks for the answers guys!

I doubt it as its a WiFi only device but even if it is you can do the same as the Galaxy Nexus & just flash the better version
I believe people buying from the play store said the device knows their g+ nickname right out of the box but aside from that I don't know of any other differences
I'm new on the N 9005 and was badly surprised by the new Samsung politics with Fonts in Settings.
As owner of an oooold Note 1, a beautiful N 2, I saw, sadly, that the "progress" or "improvements" aren't no so glamorous as the N3 phone itself.
And one of these "improvements" are the impossibility of apply any of my dozens of fonts stored this years. They are "not compatible".
But, the worst is that Samsung provides an online link to..... Samsung Apps, to download new fonts. And I retrieve there some of my fonts that I've payed previously on Play Store, but with a price... That stinks.
OK. I found out "iFonts" on Play St, but that's not exactly what I want...
Is there some workaround, some app or tricky thing to install any "com.monotype.xxx" font, as I did on previous phones?
Thanks!
OK, a little UP to say maybe I've found out a solution, here, in Spanish (sorry) : http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=819706
I've not tryed yet....It seems that this can work.
So, as we all know... Samsung is a b#tch.
They have blocked the fonts. Unfortunately for me, I did not know about it, and I got a Samsung Galaxy S8. Now, something that profoundly annoys me is the fact that the emojis are so ugly... I just simply hate them. I hate snapchatting in them, facebooking, even texting. They're ugly, and not nearly as neat as an iPhone's.
Now, of course, Android > iOS, but let's face it, in emojis - iOS > Android. I thought however, that it would be possible to have iOS emojis on my Android device (in fact this has been possible to achieve in previous years), but simply no font works due to Samsung's stupid decision to block it.
Therefore, I would like to know if it would be possible (even if it requires root - although I would prefer not to root the phone) to change the font. Even if I have to plug my phone into the computer and do some tweaking in the files, I don't mind it. I even though of creating my own font by using a Samsung default font, use the same format as Monotype Imaging, and develop my own emojis (as I am a graphic designer) and then install it on my phone, but I would have no idea how to do it.
As long as I can have pretty iOS (or similar, but preferably iOS) emojis I would be happy.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanking you all in advance,
Dragil
Please!!! I require some help on this.
It's unbelievable how much it's frustrating me.
If anyone has any idea, any help they can provide me, any guidance, I'd appreciate it forever.
I've searched over 5 pages on Google with multiple word and sentence variation, read through countless websites, download dozens of fonts, even considered the creation of my own but it won't be possible due to the fonts having a signature to them.
I'll root my phone if necessary, but I still need help!

rooting is the last way to get ur preferred fonts if not available by other means.
It seems his concern is more about the Emoji style...he prefers the iOS emoji's versus the samsung/androi emoji's.
I don't know of any way to change the system level emoji's as they are baked into the system. But for text messages, I use Textra it allows me to use other style emoji but it only works in textra.
when rooted, simply install Emoji Switcher from the playstore and choose the the set of emojis you want. it will change them across the whole system.
The problem is Samsung only allows fonts created by Monotype Imaging. This means there is a sort of digital signature embedded into the apps/fonts, hence fonts downloaded from the play store (e.g. Emoji Font 3) is no longer supported on Samsung devices.
Is there anyway to dodge this? Maybe creating a digital signature to replicate Monotype Imaging's one, by modifying our own font apk file to be identical to the Monotype's one. That seems plausible and possible to achieve, I just have no coding experience and seriously don't feel like going through too much hassle just to change the damn phone emojis.
All I really need to do is be able to change my font to a font with emojis similar to the iPhone's. Would personally like to be able to have ALL my emojis modified, even if not the iPhone's make them similar (like the emojis on Microsoft Edge Windows 10 on the website getemoji).
Simply think Samsung is a total fail in terms of design of their emojis, and should definitely make them more graphically appealing in future software updates. Emojis are such a big part of our lives, or at least mien with sharing text with others, and should be nice to look at.
I love the fact that Android gives us so many possibilities and customisation options when comparing to Apple, but with Samsung taking these approaches (like not allowing free fonts anymore - well, fonts available in other markets), it's taking from us that benefit of having an Android.
Rooting seems the only way, but I'll keep fighting for one to appear as I am keen on having nicer looking emojis on my phone.
why is so hard to find the SanFrancisco font from iPhone and iOS?
The app I use is called iFont and I'm using Armani font

iFont doesn't work for me unfortunately... Even the pro version. What Android do you have (7.0, 6.0?)
7.0 Rooted

Unbelievable how much of a b%tch Samsung is.
I don't understand why it is so difficult to just unlock that feature. Maybe someone will crack the font signature and allow app creators to use it... Until then, we either root it, or live with the ugliness of Samsung emojis.
Anyone in the Q&A section knows how to?
Does anyone know where I can find or download the navigation buttons of the Galaxy S10 o One UI? I couldn't find any... Badly need it for the theme that I am creating for my phone.?

Download good lock in galaxy store its an app available in samsung mobiles only it will help you customize ur phone. Within the app look for NavStar i will allow you to change the nav bar icons.
here is a video showing you how it works: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wH26KM1elg
also f its not available in your country like me in France, i found a solution on reddit which is working:
"use a VPN (select country where Good Lock is available, example US, South Korea), remove your sim tray completely. Go to apps and force close Galaxy Apps. Then clear cache and clear data for Galaxy Apps. Next open Galaxy apps and you'll see it picks up as you were doing a fresh install (marketing info permission requested, etc). You'll have Good Lock available for download (search it in Galaxy Apps). Once you download it, open it and download the stuff you want: edge light+, sound assistant, one hand, etc. When everything is downloaded, access each one of them and do your setup as you like: one hand, edge light effects. Finally re-insert your sim-tray back. Close VPN connection. Galaxy Apps will return automatically to your country specific and you'll have Good Lock available. When updates are available for Routines, one hand, etc, you either repeat the steps above: remove sim tray + vpn and the updates will download (you open Good Lock and open each app inside it and you'll notice the update available) or sideload the updates from apk mirror ?"
