Hello everyone !
I have a (stupid ?) question : is it possible to install Android Wear OS on an old Android Phone ? To act like a remote controler ?
I think the only requirements are that the phone runs at least Android 4.3 and has Bluetooth of course.
Android Wear isn't really all that much lighter than standard Android. I think the loss in features wouldn't make up for the slight performance improvement.

None of this is what I was looking for but it turned out to be a very happy side track indeed. Pushbullet seems to completely fail for me now on windows 10 so thanks.

No separate volume control, stupid notification system, terrible multitasking, no back or forward button in browser.
It is still missing basic functions after three years.
They, um, added resizable tiles?

You are right, WP is missing a lot of features. but What's killing it for me is the Apps. I'm not talking about the lack of apps, I'm talking about the existing apps. They are just too buggy and are less featured compared to their android and ios versions. Spotify, Line, Kakaotalk, and all the other apps that I use on a daily basis are just complete failures.
Either there is something wrong at the operating system level, or the developers just don't take the platform seriously.

There is really no point in dual booting on a phone, especially when there is WP involved. Regular users are just going to stick with Android because it has more customization and more/better apps. Instead they should make the same phone, but have a variant that runs just WP and a variant that is Android (and another GPe PLZ!)
I want to know that I9082 users love which one of these operating systems!
At the end of this poll, I will build the chosen operating system... :victory:
(According to the licenses of these operating systems and the laws of my country, I can't use reverse-engineering to port Dual-SIM to them.)

If i be true...ubuntu touch is best idea..
Reason behind it is there are already 4.4.2 roms we have...we have experienced many diffrnt roms with latest kitkat taste...
Its time to taste the real Linux-only power with ubuntu...
I donno if someone polls foe other ..but seriously guys...another operationg system with just linux is really cool..
Many may not say yes with what i am saying...
But who are in support and know real meaning what we really need as a new flavor and experience, may consider this please...(and hit thanks too ..)

I think the Linux kernel used in both Ubuntu Touch and Android do not differ that much because they are both ARM-specialized... But yeah Ubuntu Touch is awesome, gesture-based navigation in it will fit beautifully on our 5 inch screen..

Hahahaha xD...that's true ....
I actually gone on Ubuntu site...and was amazed by its all features(and best part of no java including)..plus side is..its officially for 3-4devices only..while ported are 31 ubuntu"'s....(even for s2).and 21 under development... They say its as same and easy as porting AOSP Roms...(I donno how they call it easy :|..I sometimes fine even logcats as pain )...
But if that's true...it's amazing idea and eagerly waiting for it ... ..:thumbup: yo

Its hell lot of work to compile ubuntu but its rightly said by someone Developers are like Angel.
I would like to share i was building a ROM a week back name "Beanstalk" for our grand but was stuck on bootloop. Everything went right but unfortunately it got stuck. This ROM took me weeks to get basics right then after putting in SD card and flashing, i was like :crying::crying::crying: though i got installed and able to saw a beautiful boot screen of beanstalk
Anyways good luck to DEV who is trying to build ubuntu touch:good:
@DataUnit is it possible to build webOS for our Grand? Lol I know it's a bit obsolete right now and very far-fetched, but webOS has a similar Linux kernel like Android. HP Touchpad, the only webOS tablet before webOS's death was actually flashed with Android during manufacturing process, so I think it is possible to port webOS to Android devices. Even better is that almost all parts of webOS is now open source. :good:

New version of webOS has been developed for Smart TVs and I think it's not for smartphones, but if you think you can port it with compiling the source code.
Since its source is too different than Android and AOSP, it needs a lot of hard work to port it to Grand or any other Android device.
Pocket friendly Ubuntu would be so nice! Hoping one day we get a port on grand!

As far as I know, LG is the developer of webOS (now!), and they are working on it to make it an operating system for Smart TVs!
But everything in my world is possible!

If u ask me personally , i use the latest TURBO China rom released today.
It is an amazing blend of features along with Google apps

There are only necessary google apps like Play store, gmail and google framework.
No unnecessary google crappy apps.
@TURBO2012 Roms always are the best for stability and battery backup.

Hi, too many rom have to buy another one of Le Pro3.
I think the CM13 by the Spainish team is one of the best, you can use different battery profile like Efficient, Performance, sound have good volume. I found this rom good.
I am on Turbo Rom at the moment it's pretty good but all Roms I put Nova launcher to use it.
Keeping it short for this one. If you're like me and use it with a watch to keep track of health in anyway then you would probably appreciate it the same way I do ??

Does anyone know how they can get on Android 10 with root? This truck no work in Android 10: "ro.config.tima" and change the "1" to a "O".

Not new to Xda so I have used the search plus option but I cannot find the info I'm looking for. I have purchased and installed this stereo and I'm just interested if there is any root options or roms available. I'm assuming since I can't find concrete info, that it's not possible at this time but I figured I'd give it a try. Haven't installed any apps so I don't have the exact cost info other than what's on the about section. It seems like these Mtk stereos aren't as popular as the others. Any help would be perfect. Thanks in advance.

Sound is good but slow compared to a pumpkin octo-core 10.1 and apparently it's not able to be modified. Don't get it.

I would also be interested in a root method. I'm pretty good with software and am happy to do the legwork I just dont really know where to start as far as getting things rooted. Any tips?
