The best choice for n900 is Dr ketan's rom. Actually we don't have much choice!
It's a good and smooth rom with lots of mods

Can anyone please tell me stability and performance differences between russian roms and the indian roms of the note 3, I have been using russian rom earlier (android 4.4.2) and it felt much lighter and more responsive than the indian roms. There is a verly little difference between the two, few russian apps and shutdown logo, I have also noticed that on the russian roms the device heates up less.
I am asking this question cause I need to upgrade my note 3 sm n900 (international varient) to android lollipop and the lollipop update for note 3 sm n900 in available for russian region (after the first update from Poland). So,in all should I wait for the ota to be available in india or should i download the russian rom which is available from online data storages, one thing in particular and of utmost importance: I would like to know whether if I upgrade my note 3 with the russian roms, will I get the further updates in India because of the change in region of the rom ?
Plss help any senior member,thanks..☺

[Q] Installing Lollipop for Rooted 4.2.2 Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900)

So I've just rooted my 4.2.2 stock Galaxy Note 3 and I want to upgrade to Lollipop. To this day, LP was only released for Russia and India for SM-N900.
I want to know:
1) Would it be safe to flash these updates from SamMobile, knowing that the SM-N900 is the carrier free, "international" version of the Note 3 ?
2) If yes, are these localized for Russia/India or would I have all options that would be available in a standard English release ? (language is obviously my first concern)
3) If all of the above is fine, would updating by flashing with Odin require a data wipe of the phone, or can I just update and reboot my phone with all apps/data, etc.. as if I've updated using OTA? I want to keep everything I have on the phone as is.
Thanks for taking the time to answer !

Installing different firmware version on Galaxy S7 Edge

I currently own an Australian Optus carrier variant of Galaxy S7 Edge (OPS) and want to install an Australian unlocked variant of Galaxy S7 Edge (XSA) since unlocked variant has recieved 2 updates since its launch but carrier variant has received none..
1. So my question is will this trip my KNOX Warranty and will it disable my Samsung Pay app use?
2. Also, if I install another country's Galaxy S7 Edge firmware that has the same model number, will this trip my KNOX Warranty and disable Samsung Pay Use?
3. Which country (code) receives the fastest new updates for the device SM-G935F?
4. Lastly, can I install a Galaxy S7 Edge firmware with a different model number? I want to try South Korean variant firmware..
You can flash any official Samsung firmware, and it won't trip Knox.
Someone else asked this earlier today: http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-edge/help/to-flash-generic-australian-rom-to-t3364559
Also, Samsung Pay isn't in Australia yet, and won't be for some time.
The Aussie carrier devices should get the latest update soon hopefully.

Thank you for your reply. Just one more question! I heard that if a phone is rooted, Samsung Pay app is not usable on that device afterwards so will it be the same for installing the other firmware? I know that Samsung Pay is not yet available in Australia but I would like to use it when it's launched.
Correct. Samsung Pay won't work on a rooted device.
Also, if you root, you will trip Knox. You can't use Samsung Pay on a Knox tripped device.
Even if you go back and flash stock firmware, this will not reverse Knox. This is permanent.
But if you just flash Samsung unbranded firmware over your Optus firmware, this is ok. Samsung Pay will still work.
Just to clear up something else, does your handset need to be unlocked before you can flash another official samsung firmware?
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers mobile app

Samsung galaxy note 4 6.0.1 update?

phone details
samsung galaxy note 4 (snapdragon 805)
5.1.1
sm-n910f
baseband version: n910fxxu1coj3
I was following a guide but then came across a few questions
I am trying to update to 6.0.1 i need some advice about which rom to install as automatic update will not work. Little unsure what region rom to use i am from Australia and this phone model is not a Australian model i am guessing i should use one of the United kingdom ones?
A google search revealed N910FXXU1COJ3 firmware version for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (Snapdragon) (SM-N910F) from region DBT what is DBT? is there a 6.0.1 DBT?
Just make sure the model number of the firmware matches that of your device. After you have installed it onto your device and just skip through the set up process. Then perform a hard factory reset but wipe the cache partition first. You should now be able to get firmware OTA updates on your device.

DBT is just the CSC code, its Germany. Best and most stable I would say is to flash the 6.0.1 united kingdom BTU one.

Download the firmware from here. Once downloaded extract it to pc.
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/111876/N910FXXS1DPK1_N910FBTU1DPI1_BTU/
Download odin from here. Version 3.10.6 seems to work better.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2711451&page=19
On device go to software info, tap build number 7 times until developer options is available. Go on developer options and enable usb debugging.
Open odin, click AP and insert the unzipped firmware.
Turn phone off, once off hold power + down + home until phone boots to download mode.
Plug phone into pc and wait until it says added in odin with a blue COM box. Click options in odin, check auto reboot and f.reset time. Uncheck repartition.
Then just press start, it will flash the firmware and reboot. The first time it boots it may take like 20 mins or so.
Yea I'm having a similar issue too. OTA and smart switch says that my phone is up to date but I know it is not according to sam mobile. My device is sm-n190s XSG and I flashed a stock 5.1.1. Rom months ago. I know I can update via Odin if I wanted to, but how do I update the normal way if I wanted to in the future?
