Hey guys, I've been trying to fix a friends Bell G2 D830 to no avail. The phone basically freezes and reboot randomly. Could be during booting, while in android or even in download(fastboot) mode. I've done a factory reset, refashed via LG Flash Tool, flashed the partitions using the qualcom mode 9006 and it still freezes and reboots on it own.
I think the phone has some sort of defect but wanted to run it by everyone first before I tell them the phone is toast.
Thanks

I just got this phone alittle over a month ago. Today at work, my phone randomly shut down and started continuously restarting. The phone will vibrate and boot the logo, then turn into a black screen, vibrate again, and restart. I had not modified my device at all. Just downloaded your typical apps like anyone else. I already tried taking out the battery and letting it sit and booting in recovery mode and wiping the cache and restoring to factory settings. I also tried to use odin to flash what i think is my firmware onto the device. I wasn't able to figure out the firmware of the device before I did it so i sort of guessed based on the model. Though all i did for this is download what i thought was the firmware, put it in odin3.4, entered download mode and plugged my device in and let it download. I didnt do any rooting or enable debugging/disable debugging before i used odin. Did I miss a step? Does anyone have any suggestions of something I else do. I am so confused on how this happened to my phone!
Well, Hi !
I was using LG G2 LS980 for about 6 months, one month ago i've got a dead zone touchscreen issue, with a 1cm of not working touch around the powerbutton. But then it went worse.
1. Firstly it crashed and turned off while using camera
2. Then it just randomly turned off
3. Now it doesn't boots at all, just a bootloop.
The processor is extremely hot, it was about 67°C, when i was able to boot it.
I still can access Recovery Mode, Download and Safe mode (the all three buttons, still it bootloops).
I've tried to push ZVC, ZVE using LG FlashTool, success in flashing, but still a bootloop.
Wipe data doesn't helps at all.
Any ideas besides trash bin ?
Sounds like you may have a jacked up partition. But you did not mention flashing a ROM. I assume you did.
Your issue isn't quite the same as this, but perhaps this could help: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/mega-tut-how-to-fix-bricked-lg-g2-t3055033
Thanks, but i've mentioned, that i've flashed ZVC and ZVE .tot files using LGFlashTool with success in flashing, but the bootloop still persists. It is showing a secure boot error sometimes, still flashing a ROM is pointless.
Btw, no fastboot error
My wife killed her phone. She had romboons 30 installed with dorimanx 4.2 kernel and blastagators twrp 2.8.7.1
She then started installing other roms and now the phone is stuck at lg logo bootloop. I tried every button combination to get into recovery but notting
Tried download mode but it says rooted and freezes.
I am running linux lite 2.4 and am not that experienced at it.
My wife knows that its her own fault that the phone doesnt work anymore but is there a way to get it back to life again?
Thanks a lot for your help
Edit: Been trying to get into recovery mode for the past 3 hours. tried all combinations but notting. I only am able to get into a screen for hardware buttons. Download mode doesnt work either. phone is detected by linux when i hook it up.
I think the wife finally completely killed the poor phone It does not want to go into recovery
Well will mean that i will have to learn how to live without a phone cause she already took mine as replacement.
I have been able to get into recovery after several hours and installed new rom. So this can be closed and if you want even be deleted
So I got my phone back from warranty and it was working fine, until it recently started freezing and crashing, until one day it kinda died.
When I turn on my phone it just gets stuck on the LG logo, I tried everything, tried KDZ and flashing official and custom roms, tried the support tool to flash the original LG rom, nothing
The phone still gets stuck on LG screen, it doesn't boot to recovery mode either regardless on whatever is on the recovery partition
At this point I don't know what else to do, help please?
Thank you
Hello all,
As fate would have it, the day of me getting my new G5, my G2 went in to a boot loop before I could transfer my data.
I'm desperate to get the data back if possible. Below are the details.
Phone went in to boot loop, then would not turn on. I have tried periodically to turn on the phone, but it will not boot. It will loop at the LG screen and occasionally the Sprint screen. It intermittently charges when connected to power. Today, I hooked up it up to a PC and powered on and got the Demigod screen. Loaded dload mode, but the drivers didn't install. On reboot I got the LG screen with a security error and now it won't power up again.
Any suggestions? Seems like it may be hardware related.

Doesn't TWRP have to been installed when rooting a device? This device is not rooted.
