Charging the battery problem. - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
Since over a week ago I've gotten a problem with my LG G2 and it's battery. The phone sometimes charges and sometimes it doesn't so I have to wait for a whole day or maybe 2 days until my LG g2 battery is charging again. This happend I believe when I had the phone got once wet and a little bit of water got between the screen lcd. But I don't think there was any water that got insode the phone. So im not sure if the problem is caused by that.
When I connect the charger to my phone while battery is not charging, it still shows on the screen (when phone is turned off) that the phone is harging, but the battery charging notification on the bar doesn't show it.
I use the original europian G2 version with the original android 4 installed on it.

Do you tried another charger?

Yes I have done that as well.

Broken battery or broken motherboard

Well I believe if it was broken then I wouldn't be able to charge it at all, because as written, the phone is charging without problems sometimes.

you tried to clean the USB port?

Yes I have tried almost everything. Right now the battery still doesn't charge again, but I can use the phone (with 0% battery) while the charging cable is connected. I'll just send it back tomorrow where I bought it for a warranty repair.

[Q] USB Charging problem. PLEASE HELP!!

The USB charger does
not seem to power the device
enough to get it to power on. It needs a battery
that has been charged up.
When I ordered a new battery, the phone
powered right up! But, as I was
trying to troubleshoot the problem, the battery
eventually drained to 0.
The problem occurred after I replaced the front
glass. I upgraded to 4.3
after I ordered a new battery after draining the
original one. I was hoping that a fresh OS install
might help the problem,
but it did not. The phone ran the same with 4.2
as with 4.3. I handled the
motherboard with great care when doing the
repair, and the phone worked perfectly before
that. (I have done many successful phone
repairs). I suppose it's possible that the
motherboard was damaged somehow, but it has no
sign of damage and the only
problem is the battery not charging. charging
sign- It did show when the battery was charged.
Now that the battery has drained down,I will
sometimes get an orange light when plugging in
the USB charger.
The battery has drained to the point that the
charging animation indicator on the screen no
longer appears. The battery has been drained to
the point where it does not have enough
power to boot the phone..

My battery suddenly started dying extremely quickly, and sometimes the phone showed that it was charging from a USB cable to the computer instead of through a wall adapter. I have also replaced the front screen assembly and am on 4.3. What the hell is going on? Tons of people with issues like this.

go to original stock. you will come to know wheather is sofware problem or a hardware. you will be able to troubleshoot in a better way.
Already have. Looks like a hardware issue.
I gotta say...this phone has been all kinds of problems for me.

[Q] new battery dont charge

hi i have a nexus 4 12 months . i bought a battery from ebay 5 months ago .before 1 month my main battery was inflate a little and the back housing of the phone cant close proper.i swaped the battery .the new battery charge only to 16% and then discharge with the charger on .when i plug out the charger the battery discharge fast to 4% and shut down.
i bought a 3rd battery from ebay
i charge my phone closed 30min now and the phone dont have power to turn on.
the charger is the official with the official cable from lg
I do something wrong??
sorry for poor english.
It could be the charging flex that is broken. But these batteries from ebay could easily be bad copies which don't work. I know spareslg.com sell genuine parts if you want to be sure.
I have a similar problem. The battery was draining really fast and not charging when plugged in, so I got a new battery. It still didn't charge so I tried a wireless charger. That does work but it will not charge via USB. When plugged in, the icon changes to the charging icon but it doesn't say that it is actually charging. In the battery status screen it says "not charging."
Would my next step to be to try to replace the USB port? I've cleaned it out as best as I can with a toothpick and used some contact cleaner as well.
I think the problem is with the way you replace your old battery
Are you sure you replace it correctly ?
I had previously successfully replaced the screen after I dropped and shattered the phone. To do that, I successfully disassembled and reassembled the phone with no issues. I ensured all connections were tight when I replaced the battery and disassembled again tonight to check all the connections and the battery still will not charge -- both the old and new battery. I do not believe at this point that the battery is the problem.

[Q] Phone still not charging after replacing charger port and battery

Last week my phone started not charging properly, with the charging cable plugged in it would seem to randomly stop and then start charging again. I tried a few different chargers and it was the same, sometimes it would charge and others times not, but eventually it stopped charging all together and the battery died.
I thought the charging port might have gone faulty, so I ordered a new one and replaced it, but it still didn't charge. So, I bought a new battery and tried that, the phone booted up fine and worked but again, it still wouldn't charge.
I'm assuming something must be broken on the motherboard, but I don't really want to spend any more on it and the phone is out of warranty,so I just wondered if anyone had any other suggestions I can try before I have to sell it for parts?
Cheers
IDK but maybe small smd fuses..

Very bizarre battery problem with my Note 4

Hi Guys,
Really need some help here. Just recently my note 4 has been failing to charge properly. When I plug my charger, it will charge for a few minutes with my official Samsung Charger but it will stop even with that. It will not charge at all connected to my laptop or my in car charger. This is what I have done so far..
1) Have bought a new battery (phone is 2 years old) New battery made no difference.
2) Have cleaned the hell out of the bottom connector on the phone (does nothing)
Not sure what else it can be. I love this phone and dont want to get rid but cant understand what is wrong.
So new battery, clean connectors, several re starts, taking out cleaning the sim and everything in the phone. What the hell else could it be??
Please help!!!

1.Open dialer and dial *#0228# and press (quick start)at the bottom and hit YES this will reset battery stats and clear and battery calibration issues then turn off your phone and charge full to 100% to recalibrate battery stats.
2.if the 1st method dosent works then Try factory reset
3.flash stock firmware in odin.

Thanks but I have three different batteries for my Note 4 and they all do this. I fear there is something wrong with the connector in my phone, although it doesn't explain why it will charge for longer sometimes than others, this is what annoys me, its totally random!!! last night I got a full charge out of my phone, today, tried charging and nothing!!!
This is genuine mystery, has my phone got a virus or something?? Why does it charge sometimes then not other times?
I don't want to give up my Note 4 I love the damn thing, any further help would be appreciated with virtual alcohol!
Might be interesting to get one of those Qi wireless charging receivers and a wireless charger to see if it charges correctly that way, bypassing the USB port.
EDIT: I use the Fonesalesman one and a Choetech 3-coil charger.

Hmmm.... that's a good idea, but I thought that the note 4 wasnt capable to charge wireless without an adaptor that that
plugs into the USB port.
I could be wrong though.

I use wireless charging every day, never used the USB port except occasionally to copy large files over and to activate Helium for backup. It does, of course, take longer to charge, but I have a couple of wireless chargers about and just set the phone on whenever I'm near one. Phone rarely drops below 50% charge except if I'm out all day.
You need one of these, once you put the back cover on you'll hardly know it's there - I have a UAG case on too, so it's basically invisible:
https://www.amazon.com/N4-SlimPWRcard-integrated-compatible-recommended/dp/B00OFKS66G
and a wireless charger like one of these:
https://www.amazon.com/Wireless-Charger-CHOETECH-Charging-Samsung/dp/B017U9FVKW
Hope this helps.
I bought a orignal bulky wireless cover, then modifit it and removed the qi plate and put it in the phone and use original cover..more slim and works
Thow i suspect that its other hardware falire..my phone is freezing/restarting without any damn special reason, wireless charge dosent work sometimes, it restarts while wireless charging ...all behaviour having something to do with the Power! i have 3 batteries.
O i think its something to do with hardware, thow i will test flashing a stock room again just to be sure. if nothing above helps u can do the same then if problem still remains so you need to take it to a repair shop.

Very annoying problem and one that frustrates me because its random! I got it charging for 25 minutes tonight before it, all of a sudden for no reason stops at 44%....
However I today received an external charger that I bought of eBay for a mere £5.99 it's great. Although it means I have to keep swapping batteries, it's by far the most cost effective solution. Until I see a phone that is a significant leap above the Note 4 I refuse to upgrade which, quite frankly the S.7 isn't...

extreme slow battery charging

Since yesterday my mobile battery is charging slow, all of a sudden (without any sort of FOTA upgrade or any such changes, etc) until the day before yesterday it was charging normally.
Currently, the stats is 10% in 1 hour (Check screenshot below)
Which means it will take 10hrs to charge 100%
What might have caused this battery issue and how do i solve it?
Btw , yesterday my mobile fell from my hand flat on its back(no physical damage) could this be the reason for slow charging? ?

If you're using the stock asus cable that was provided in the box for charging, then change it
The stock cable is ****
Use a different cable, i had a spare mi cable at home which i used and the speed was normal again.

Yes my cable also damaged. I was also worried that my phone is damaged, then after switching cable problem solved.
Just to make sure, the problem is with the cable and not with the charging brick right?
