I had the same problem while trying to update to lollipop official unrooted using LG PC Suite. Then tried LGMobile Support Tool several times to flash the rom and everytime it was stopping in a random percentage also. After several times it managed to go to 100% but installed the kitkat version instead as i gave up with the lollipop rom, but i am gonna give it a try today (maybe a lot if tries!). Would be nice if someone can tell as what is happening and using pc suite and official rom on unrooted phone gives as this error.

Aw man I need some serious help here! So yesterday I was following instructions on the android forum to get my phone to 2.3.7 and so I downloaded this fastboot ROM and flashed it to my GT540 but I later found out you needed to have a rooted phone in order to get into fastboot and everything in the OS from android forum kept crashing my apps (couldn't get Z4Root), so I decided to try to flash it to 2.1 with the LG Update Tool and it got stuck at 4 percent. I unplugged it and now my phone was stuck at the Vodafone logo. I used KDZ Updater to flash FranceOrangeV20C_Fastboot to it and it didnt work (some parameter error showed up). Now my phone is stuck on the LG logo and it isn't detected by anything! PLLEASE HELP! I bricked my phone!!!!
this happened to me before dont know about you but i would send it to lg.
Figured it out!
OK so in KDZ Updater change the phone mode to CS Emergency and go into Download Mode in the phone and then just flash
This is if you get errorcode: WParam:100 LParam:4008
mine was in a worst condition the phone will not boot in anyway
As your phone turn on there is always a way to save it
Don't worry, we all been there
Follow instructions properly anz don't be smart are solutions to avoid bricking.......now i agree send it to lg if still under warranty.
Sent from my LG GT540 using xda premium
go into download mode
connect it to ur pc
go into device manager and turn off android modem
use kdz updater english version and change type to 3GQCT-Smartphone(WM)
chose ur rom and run
That's what i did when my phone stuck at LG logo and the only thing i could do is go into download mode ^^
Hope it help
Hi there,
I installed the LG software update app, and when I plugged in my phone it did some checking and said that there was an update available.
So I clicked OK, waited for ages for the kdz package to download, and then it started the update.
Problem is, it gets to 14% on the phone screen (20% on my computer) and then it hangs for a while. Eventually the PC app says "upgrade stopped due to an error". Now my phone is constantly stuck on the Firmware Upgrade screen, even when I restart it, and I can't even ADB onto it, or use Linux to view it (as mentioned in a different post).
I can't get into download mode or recovery mode... just this Firmware Upgrade screen.
Any ideas what I can do? I stupidly thought that - as it was an official upgrade - it wouldn't screw up my phone... how stupid do I feel ???
Anything I can try? My phone is an LG G2 International (D802) version.
Thanks a lot,
JM
@MOD, sorry - I realised my OP was in the wrong place, so moved it here

Hi there,
Nope - can't get into any other mode than this "Update" mode... gonna try a few tools. Was trying to salvage my stuff, but it's not the end of the world to wipe it.
Thanks,
J

Problem solved! Try the .TOT method shown here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
The .KDZ method didn't work for me, from this post or any other. The .TOT method worked first time!
Hi everybody!
I have Lg g2 D802 Baltics. Yesterday I tried to return to Stock KitKat via Lg mobile support tool and Flashtool, both of them didn't work, they just didn't find my phone in download mode. Then I decided to reroot and reinstall TWRP. The first was done and the second too, but unfortunately my phone restarted and got a Security error and LG logo and can't boot, just permanently restarts. I've already read a hundreds of articles like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 . The method written here isn't working for me because the Flashtool just can't find my phone when trying to install a firmware. So, any program like Lg support tool and Flashtool don't find my phone, so I can't do anything with my phone to get it to work. I'm facing i real problem for me and i'm quite shocked. So, please, tell me what to do, how to fix my phone. I tried a lot of thins, nothing helped. What to do?
HI There ! I own a LG F320L for sometime now. It came with Kitkat 4.4.2 installed and then i flashed it with CloudyG2 rom and have been using it ever since. For the past 1 month I have this strange touch screen issue with erratic behaviour and phantom touches. It has been addressed as software related issue and going back to stock has fixed some of the users problem.
Now to the main issue, I followed the tutorial of LG FLASH TOOL Method upto the point. Installed drivers and have downloaded the KDZ for stock kitkat but when I enter the download mode and LG flash tool begins to start it doesnt even verify my phone. It keeps stopping at 2% software extraction (sometimes 4%) and then a dialog appears saying Disconnect phone and remove battery and then again put the battery in and connect your phone and try. I have been trying it for many hours but it doesnt make any difference. I have used unrooter tool to unroot my phone for download mode. I have also tried the TOT method for going back to stock but no success. Whenever I plug in my device it appears in device manager but it is not recognized by FLash tool still. Please help me. I have TWRP 2.8.4.0 Recovery installed.
I am running windows 8.1 X64. The drivers install with no problem.
P.S I have searched all the threads regarding flash tool problems and download mode recognition. I didnt find anything helpful.
Hi
I have a LG G2 running CM12 which I just tried to encrypt (about to sell it). For some reason though the encryption failed, which I've never seen before. I had full battery and the charger connected.
Anyway, it presented me with the only option of resetting the phone. I clicked yes and now I'm in some sort of bootloop. The "teamwin"-logo for TWRP is presented on the screen for a couple of seconds, before it goes black for one second and then back to the teamwin-logo etc.
I don't care about the data, but how can I fix the phone back to CM12? Please help me!
See Edited post below
I managed to get it back to stock with LG Flashtool, rooted it and installed TWRP using AutoRec. Booted in recovery mode and got an error:
"assert failed: run_program("/system/bin/loki.sh") == 0
E:Error executing updater binary in zip '/usb_otg/cm12-20150612-NIGHTLY-d802.zip
Error flashing zip
After this I can't boot into the phone, it says "Security error" under the LG logo. After this happened I went through the same process with LG Flashtool and tried again, unfortunately with the exact same result. I've tried different ROMs aswell. Can someone please help me sort this out?
After hours of trying I finally sorted it out. If anyone runs into the same problem this helped me:
- Flash a stock KitKat-ROM using LG Flashtool
- Root using LG OneClickRoot
- Download AutoRec for Kitkat-apk from the web (not available in Play Store anymore)
- Run AutoRec for Kitkat and let it install TWRP
- Download and flash some CM11-ROM
- Check to see that all seems fine
- Download and flash the CM12-ROM you want + gapps
- Hopefully you'll run CM12 just fine again
That did it for me, not sure that every step is essential but might as well try it.
Okay... My phone was working just fine, and I thought it was just fine so I didn't think about it when I performed a factory reset through the IU. I shouldn't have done that...
The problems came back, first the twrp-bootloop so I tried to flash the kdz again. That failed and after that I no longer can access download mode. What happens when I try to is that the LG logo shows as it should, but then instead of going into download mode it takes a little longer, and then the phone opens up like 20 drive letters on my computer. One of them contains files in a folder called "image".
Am I 100% ****ed? I would really appreciate it if someone could help me out with this one!
