Read into the developer subforum the thread where it is described how to reset Knox on N900, I believe that one will also downgrade the bootloader. Don't ask anything there until you have read and understood ALL that thread.

You really need to read a lot more before you start messing around flashing things on your device. It's ALL around this forum about not being able to downgrade.

Well I knew what I was getting myself into, flashed it pretty much a few mins after it leaked lol
Samsung build some protection so you can't downgrade, for how long that's another story. Anything software can be broken, it's just the matter of effort, keep your eyes open, maybe somebody will find way.

I searched, i read... O know How to use a forum. Unfortunately i was not able to find that
I just read an interesting news. Apparently, some canadian phones ( SM-N900W8 ) when flashed with the newly released Mexican 4.4.2 can downgrade back to a 4.3 firmware. Did somebody who flashed the Poland 4.4.2 tried flashing it and maybe you guys can downgrade to 4.3 after as well? It's just an idea I haven't really tried it.

Sorry I was late. Just quickly posted that one while on brake at work and wasn't able to get back online until now.
Edit:
I don't know if you guys can follow this guide and just substitute the files from your original 4.3 phone's firmware and make it work for your phones.

I also have an S3 i9305 with tripped knox bootloader after upgrading to 4.3. I have not tried to flash stock 4.1.2 on it after that, but it is not a problem to flash a custom 4.1.2 or 4.2.2 custom ROM on it.
Is it only samsung signed ROMs that won't boot if it's downgraded? And custom ROMs is not a problem as long as you don't try to downgrade the bootloader?

that sux! but what is the point of being able to select a BL file in Odin then?
Samsung did changes on the bootloader since MJ7, once updates cannot downgrade.
Also new firmware OS need new bootloader, means once up to latest KitKat that need new bootloader, they is no way to revert to older version as of now.

Well for us SM-N900W8 users it's possible to flash back to 4.3. Just took Mexican 4.4.2 for a spin and to me looks the same as 4.3 so I'm back to 4.3 as there's not that many 4.4.2 custom roms out yet.
Well this is being tried by me in a couple of minutes!

You guys are posting in the wrong forum, this is the forum for the S4 Active (i9295). Try posting in the correct forum and you'll probably get some answers.
Hi fellas,
Just got my note 3.. lately for sure.. but anyway..
My question is, it came with JB 4.3 and still v*rg*n I mean not root so far.. I wonder if is there any advantage in to keep JB 4.3 and root it or upgrade to the latest 4.4.2?
It worth to go forward and upgrade before root?
Thanks

IMHO 4.3 works very nice and there is no real advantage from 4.4.
If you have the AT&T version which is bootloader-locked even more so - 4.3 can be easier rooted.

You will not trip it as long as you know what to do - just use towelroot and for start DO NOT try to install a custom recovery / kernel / ROM. Also pay attention to the specific version of Note 3 that you have - if you have the AT&T version YOU ARE IN THE WRONG FORUM!
I read a lot of issues with kitkat. In case I decide that I don't like 4.4 kitkat can I get back to 4.3? There are several methods for galaxy S3 even in youtube but nothing yet on the s3 neo.

yep you can flash this rom just follow the instructions http://forums.androidcentral.com/am...ide-samsung-how-flash-stock-rom-via-odin.html
I read in other forum that when updated to kitkat the bootloader gets updated also. So downdrading to jb is not possible. Also I read that knox gets 0x1.
The latest Hongkong rom seems stable and bug free so far. I will give it a few days before I decide to keep it. There are also some apps that are not working in kitkat. Give them sometime to be compatible....

Yes, that's it.
If I understand correctly, you can downgrade from lollipop top kitkat but you cannot downgrade from kitkat to an older version?
