RSD Not reading phone in Fastboot - Droid RAZR M Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

No matter what I do I can't get my phone to show up in RSD Lite. I have all the drivers installed but I can't get anything. Anyone got any solutions?

Which RSD Lite version?
Which drivers?
Latest versions should be in my
Moto Drivers, RSD Lite, and other Unbricking Tools
http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/rooting-roms/motorola-usb-drivers-rsd-lite-firmware-t3042687
Windows version?

Also be sure to use an OEM Motorola cable in a USB2.0 slot.

What is shown on the phone? Are you in fastboot mode?

What errors are you getting with RSD?
Have you tried Matt's utility?

if you have unlocked your bootloader flash a twrp or cwr recovery in fastboot, put a new rom on your sdcard and flash it in recovery

i have not tried matts utility
and at the moment i cannot remember the exact problem with rsd it was something to do with fastboot
You are using AP Fastboot mode to RSD, right?
I honestly wouldn't bother with RSD, just boot into fastboot mode and use fastboot to flash either cwm or twrp and then use the recovery to flash a new rom.
You could instead just boot into fastboot mode and use the utility to flash everything back to stock.

Try deleting the zip you downloaded, and redownloading it. Maybe with a different browser.
Fastboot is IMO a lot less complicated than RSD. Once you have the driver installed and are in fastboot mode, you use CMD on your computer to cd into your platform-tools folder in the Android SDK, and use simple fastboot commands like:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery twrp.img

I haven't used the Qualcomm fastboot recovery flasher. But I guess you just have to boot up the bootloader/fastboot mode, change the drivers under device manager for the Qualcomm ones (might need you to disable driver signing requirement if the driver is unsigned and your running Windows 8 or newer). And from there just run the Qualcomm flasher and watch it complete. However I'm guessing you've been playing around with the experimental beta ROMs and thereby changing bootloader, so you should be able to restore bootloader back to the 2.2.1 one by first running fastboot flash recovery recovery.img with a twrp recovery.img which is compatible with your bootloader (the chinese 3.0 i suppose) and then from there flash the revert to Lollipop zip using TWRP and then fastboot flash recovery the TWRP for OxygenOS 2.2.x/CM13 bootloader.

Hi Alwin,
If TWRP is working on your oneplus 2, you can simply flash the stock firmware by downloading the stock firmware and transferring it to a USB, then using a USB otg connector to flash the zip while in TWRP.
You can find link to stock firmware in benkxda's post.
Hope it helps.

Flashe wrong bootloader using zfstk, now it only loads fastboot screen

Hi,
My brother got a USB-logo on his phone and I flashed a new bootloader using XFSTK, but I noticed he got a ZE550ML and not the ZE551ML that I flashed on his phone. Now the phone is stuck on fastboot screen. I got it to load the USB-logo screen one time, and flash it with the correct ZE550ML bootloader files, but it still shows wrong model and wrong serial number.
Does anyone have a solution to fix it?
Best regards.
im trying ther same thing, but for somereason adb doesnt list my device now..
If you're in bootloader you use fastboot not adb

Yes, flashing done not require adb, in fastboot mode only fastboot command works.

Yes, that is correct, but as I said, my phone has been flashed a bootloader for a different Zenfone than I have.
Using fastboot command.
Flash correct boooader or flash stock firmware, or extract bootloader content from stock firmware.

Okey, but how to do that? The phone does not have the correct serialnumber now that the wrong bootloader is loaded onto the phone, only the 12345.. serialnumber.
Serial number 123 etc is perfectly normal after flashing in xfstk
see my signature below for video to correct
---------- Post added at 10:25 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:01 AM ----------
If anyones flashed incorrect files across devices -- get correct files - reload xfstk
press dload.
power plus vol+ to two buzzes - release
if no good
repeat till success
Try to...
repeat power plus vol+ after two buzzes immediately after the two buzzes too, before the dowloader cycles to #20
Basically, try to fit in two cycles before the attempt to #20 completes

stock rom moto g7 1862-5 or recovery image needed

hi.
i have an unrooted moto g7 1962-5. unfortunately no recovery image available.
i tried already to flash with stock rom according the devices version : PPO29.114-135 reteu2.
unfortunately it does not work very stable and stubbles and freezes the monitor.
i flashed it with fastboot and rsd lite.. but the result is the same and did not improve the function of the phone.
i tried as well to update the phone with lenovo assistent. it connects the phone to the software. but when device connected and selected it comes to the information : device not matching , please re-connect.
how can i proceed to get the device back to normal function
thank you in advance.

to my device:
it´s reteu2 .does it get in conflict with these stock roms?
can i install any of those 1962-5 ppos29 114 34 -x
what is the best way fo flash . rsd lite or fastboot?
is it at least possible to lock the bootloader to get further updates OTA

I prefer RSD Lite, but no method is perfect.
Did you try a factory reset?
Was device in fastboot mode when you tried LMSA?
If bootloader is locked, don't downgrade firmware version, or change software channel.
Can you get to settings/dev options?

Could be a bad download,
But you could unzip the file and select the service xml with RSD Lite.

Ok. I managed it .
Unpacked the stock and flashed it with rsd lite . Great. Thanks a lot for this.
So is there a chance then to lock the bootloader? After the installation of it I could do update of the system. After reboot popped up a message. System corrupted... Update not possible.

finally I made it.
i used the right software from lolinet.
unpacked and then afterwards flashed the flashfile with rsd lite.
then i connected the device again to the motorola rescue assitant in fastboot mode.
it found the actual android 10 version and updated the system. after the flashing process
the phone rebooted normal and works since then quickly and perfekt.
i would like to lock the bootloader now.. how about this to do
