I did actually look in the forums before posting. Also Wikipedia. Is this a stupid-simple thing that i just overlooked it? How can you tell what processor/SoC that you have?
I have an AT&T Note 4, presumably a 910a, does that tell me what I have? Or do I have to decipher a code or the IMEI number or something else like that?

Perhaps something like this would help?

Is it possible to somewhere purchase the device GSM version and use it in one of the US Carriers? Or better yet, is there even somewhere I could buy the phone? I saw it searching for something else and its really just a badass phone
EDIT: to be more specific, a website or something obviously, I know theres no way I'll ever find it on a store also I noticed theres no Evo 4G+ section here on xda, I believe that means no one @ xda may have heard/seen it or no one may have used it??

I am about to get a new phone (now because I cracked the screen on my LG E980...) namely to have a better experience in customizing, etc.
I am aware that the S5 has somewhat better performance than the S4, but I am more interested in the options for ROM development and customize-ability. First off, what is the appropriate model name for the S5? (I'm on AT&T) Wondering this for compatibility purposes.. Also are there any software updates I should avoid? Will I need to go back to any old firmware/software version(s) to have better luck rotting or installing ROMs/recoveries?
Any insight appreciated, thanks!

The Galaxy S4 (in my opinion) is PERFECT for Customs Roms, Testing Kernals, etc.
The Galaxy S5 ( what I have) is PERFECT for Performance and Custom Roms ( If there are more) etc.
It's really based on what you like, I personally love the Galaxy S5. I had the Galaxy S4,and it was an AWESOME device.I just hate the battery life of the Galaxy S4 and the display (If you're into that stuff) Just be you and pick!
I have a S5 and I absolutely love it. But just try to get a model that can be rooted

That sounds awesome, good to hear! Right now AT&T has them both for like 80$ factory reconditioned so I am definitely going to jump on one of those.

Do you know how I can tell which model I'm getting? I see model names like 900F, G900, etc. but is there a way to see this when I am buying the phone? It is definitely going to be the version from the AT&T web store if that helps

- You can see the Model by enter the menu Settings -> About device.
- Or install Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app to obtain even more detailed info.

No I know one can see the model number and software info and stuff from the About Device menu, but I was talking about viewing this about the device before buying it to avoid buying the wrong model lol

You can see the model number right on the box before opening it.
And the seller should tell you the correct model number before buying.

If I helped you please give thanks to me!
(Bottom left corner) It'll be much appreciated!
I had both. The main difference to me is the brighter screen and waterproof.
If you got the cash, buy a S5. Otherwise the S4 is still a great phone.
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA Free mobile app
If you want a phone for performance buy a Galaxy s5(a bit better than s4), but if you want a phone for custom roms buy an s4.
Can't speak for the S4 other than that I tried a mates unit and liked it. Love me my S5 thou. Easy to root and to customize too...
As far as i understand, the att version of s5 is bootloader locked, so if you want to try custom ROMs based on AOSP, you need the G900F or G900T (T-Mobile). You can go to the dedicated model forum for more info.
Hello,
I have the Note 4 from US Cellular (model 910R). Ive been looking for custom roms for this variant but haven't seen any. I know with US Cellular being a smaller carrier, id have less to choose from, but has anyone seen anything available? Lastly, im doubting it, but does anyone have any idea if that variant would be compatible with any other variants ROM?
Many thanks,
David
Sorry to drag up my old post, but Ive been trying to find more info since I posted this last month. Just hoping that someone may have some info about being able to use a rom for a different model Note 4 on my US Cellular 910R. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I understand some countries have got it. Anyone have feed back on whether they are having the memory leak issue?

Perhaps your question would be better served in the other Galaxy S5 for All S5's and International Versions as this one is Verizon specific.

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if there's a significant difference between the SM-N910FZKEDBT and the SM-N910FZWEDBT? I know they are both Snapdragon but I dont know if they have a difference in bands. They are both N910F but there is a 1 letter difference.
There is also another one, SM-N910FZKEXEH
I would like to know because I'm in the process of buying one
Thanks in advance!!
The one letter difference is only indicative to which country the device is being sold in. Otherwise, expect the model and available bands to be the same, as well as new Stock ROM availability. When a Software Update is posted over the air, it will apply to all "F" models, however, that single letter difference will determine the software update's language and country preferences the device pertains to.

Thank you very much for the info! So basically any N910f rom can be flashed on those versions regardless where the phone is sold, right?
That's correct, they share the same internal hardware with the only difference being software (different country region).
