I want it on tmo.... im just pissed that there will be no voice feature. Im hoping that the hardware is still there.. maybe it can be unlocked from a rom update?
does anyone know if that would be a possibility?
anyone know what's the deal with firmware update for Canada and us?
when I emailed samsung support they give me the most retarded answers.
I was asking them about the support for transferring apps to sd card and that bleeding colour issue.
They told me that only certain apps could be moved. I live in Canada and didn't get a single damn update ever since I bought the phone.
None of my apps are able to transfer to sd card period!
they also told me they have never heard of that bleeding colours in the settings menu when you scroll with brightness turned down.
They also told me there will be no firmware update and they have no idea when there will be any firmware update. They just told me to connect to kies. Just the stupid response I get almost cause me to go and refund the damn phone.

FYI,
Samsung releases the update to the carriers, it is up to your individual carrier to decide whether you are worthy of an update or not.
There have been a couple firmware updates since the S4 was released, most of the updated code has already been incorporated into the many custom roms available on XDA.

I guess I'll stop waiting and just install custom roms.
Thanks

Bingo, that would be the quickest way to fix some of the issues.
many of the custom roms have fixed most of these issues.
Good luck sir.
Hey guys, I know this has been posted before, but I need to know specifically where my phone is from..I have the SM-G900M. I think this model is very rare. I hardly see any posts regarding it. I live in the USA on TMobile. When I do a search, I am finding different countries...Brazil, Argentina, Dominican Republic, Chile, Panama. Colombia, Mexico and Peru. Is there anything in "About phone" that can allow me to pinpoint which country?
I am having issues with the power button not always waking up my device, so I wanted to know if a software update will fix it. My device is telling me that the latest software is G900MUBU1ANCE; however, doing a search online, I am finding another update, G900MUBU1ANE2. I need to know which is the most up to date. Any feedback on this would be great!

Hi man,
This is indeed the Latin American model.
This G900MUBU1ANE2 is the latest update however I have not tested yet.
After I update my other phone Galaxy S3 LTE from JB 4.2.2 to JB 4.3 and get the KNOX as a bonus I am always afraid of updating.
You can check out your phone's detailed info with this app:

Thanks for this! Just discovered my phone's software ties to Trinidad and Tobago. They are still stuck on the previous firmware. Wish I knew when the update would be rolling out for all SM-900M's. This power button thing is driving me crazy and I know it's software related because it doesn't happen all the time. I don't want to have to send my phone all the way to the Caribbean and back only to hear that they were not able to replicate the issue.

Have you had any issues with your SM-900M? Any power button issues? or lag issues when waking the device? I am wondering if I should try manually installing. I check for updates everyday and nothing...

Yes, I had.
I have this phone for about one month now and I remember having this issue during the first week, It would take too long for the screen to light up after pressing the power button. I sideloaded Google Now Launcher and the problem went away.
Yesterday I update the firmware for the version above and everything is good so far. I´m using the standard TouchWiz.

That's a bit of a relief. Though, I just tried two other launchers and my power button still would take a time or two before waking the device.
Try updating. Download the firmware from sammobile.

I don't know if it's ready for my device according to their website. What country is your phone from? Only Colombia, Panama, Brazil and Dominican Republic have received the new update.
Mine is from Brazil.

GCI is my service provider and my G900M is made in Vietnam.
planning to travel to US and buy one of the variants of the S5 to use it in Mexico. Do you think the 'A' variant would be a better choice than 'M'? I want to make sure that whatever phone I buy will get the latest and greatest official/OTA Android version or at least there is enough ROM development to support a few years of usage.
BTW, is Samsung providing official OTA for 5.1.1 on this variant?
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 SM-T357T (T-Mobile in the U.S.) and I am wondering if I can flash a custom ROM that is made for the Samsung SM-T355 onto it as they are both LTE tablets? I know mine is stuck on Lollipop but would love Marshmallow on it. Can anyone help please PLEASE??? Thank you so much!
I posted this a while back and just wanted to see if anyone can tell me the answer to this? Or what about flashing the sm-t350 firmware on it as I don't care about data at all and won't care if it works as long as I have Wi-Fi. Please can anyone help?

You could try it but I doubt if it will work. Tablets tied to a particular cell phone co don't get updates via Samsung. Their ROMs get their updates from the cell phone co. and are locked to that co. You might want to talk to T-Mobil's tech support to ask if you have any options.

That's too bad that it won't work as I don't see T-Mobile upgrading to anything higher than Lollipop which is pathetic considering the Wi-Fi version of this tablet got Nougat...

The T585 has LTE capabilities and has Nougat. It is only tablets you get from cell phone co.s that are a problem. They don't want to upgrade firmware. They want you to upgrade hardware to get you to extend your contract.
hello. i need a light weight custom rom for Samsung Tab A T355.
can you help me?
Hello all,
I would like to raise a simple question today, as to ask WHY does the USC Variant of S6 and S6 Edge DO NOT receive any attention from the devs?I I have seen so many roms and different developments for probably EVERY variant of the S6 and S6 edge but NOT the US Cellular?? Is there any major hardware difference (which I dont see) or something else? Its really disturbing to have a BOOTLOADER UNLOCKED device and yet be so deprived of custom roms.
Thank you, please respond with reasons if someone can.

I dont have nougat since USC hasnt released the update yet, and since I once flashed a wrong Google Pixel based rom on it, my knox is probably tripped, PLUS I dont care about KNOX since I dont ever use mobile pay or related services, I will be more then happy to kick Knox out of my phone as a matter of fact
Anyways, If Exynos is not dev friendly, how did the devs release roms for AT&T, Verizon, TMob etc carriers? They sport the same chip, dont they?
Anyways thanks for the response!

this might help. regards joe
All ROMs I tried on my s6 edge never worked, even the unified ROMs. The touchscreen never worked which was from the kernel and unknown baseband version. If we had some custom kernels this might solve the issues if not the touchscreen issue.

I had the exact issue as you did, touch did not respond on a custom rom so I switched back to official ROM.
