I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 SM-T357T (T-Mobile in the U.S.) and I am wondering if I can flash a custom ROM that is made for the Samsung SM-T355 onto it as they are both LTE tablets? I know mine is stuck on Lollipop but would love Marshmallow on it. Can anyone help please PLEASE??? Thank you so much!
I posted this a while back and just wanted to see if anyone can tell me the answer to this? Or what about flashing the sm-t350 firmware on it as I don't care about data at all and won't care if it works as long as I have Wi-Fi. Please can anyone help?

You could try it but I doubt if it will work. Tablets tied to a particular cell phone co don't get updates via Samsung. Their ROMs get their updates from the cell phone co. and are locked to that co. You might want to talk to T-Mobil's tech support to ask if you have any options.

That's too bad that it won't work as I don't see T-Mobile upgrading to anything higher than Lollipop which is pathetic considering the Wi-Fi version of this tablet got Nougat...

The T585 has LTE capabilities and has Nougat. It is only tablets you get from cell phone co.s that are a problem. They don't want to upgrade firmware. They want you to upgrade hardware to get you to extend your contract.
hello. i need a light weight custom rom for Samsung Tab A T355.
can you help me?

Hi,
Does anyone know if there's a Retail ROM yet for the new Focus S? I get mine on Tuesday and would like to debrand it. Or, will another Retail ROM say from the Omnia 7 work?
Many thanks

There is no retail ROM for the Focus S yet. When it will be, you will find it at Samsfirmware as well as in the forums here.
Samsung Omnia 7 (i8700) is similar to Samsung Focus (i917) in the same way Samsung Omnia W (i8350) is similar to Samsung Focus S (i937). So you would be looking for Omnia W, not Omnia 7.
Beware, do NOT force/flash Omnia 7 _OR_ Omnia W files onto your Focus S, as you might brick your device. Instead, wait for someone with experience and ask for assistance. A lot of bricks happened because Focus owners flashed Omnia 7 firmware.
Many thanks
Still no hint of a retail or AT&T debranded ROM? As I'm in the UK I am not getting any O/S updates (other than the updates from here) and this concerns me. So I would love to remove AT&T from this ROM or install a Retail version.
Regards
no worries. There have been no updates yet for the focus s...
but it looks like 7739.25 (ie, 7740?) is coming
http://www.wpcentral.com/att-updating-focus-s-and-flash-os-773925
stress about updates when it lands. The phone is only an att phone so there will be no unbranded version of it.
new firmware and radio too. Hopefully it fixes the screen lag.
Many thanks for the reply. Hmmm, I put the 8107 update from this forum on it and it updated perfectly. Only issue now is I still have the old firmware/bootloader/radio versions. I wonder if I will get those updates or, because I'm higher than 7739, will the update skip me?
Regards

That's the cool thing about XDA. If you don't get the firmware/bootloader/radio update sent to your phone using Zune, just wait till the CAB files show up here (and they will). Then send them using Cab Sender.
Need help, may pay some money as well

I did some searching, but I cannot find a ROM for this phone. There is a way to get it working without the DEMO mode if you want to try it. Here is a link with more info. No need for donations, and I'm sorry there is not more, it looks like that phone has been left behind as far as development.

I have an AT&T Galaxy S4 running Android 4.2.2 I337UCUAMF3. I rooted the device using the method posted here:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/sa...-root-new-root-method-found-mf3-firmware.html
Everything was fine. No custom recovery, but I had root access. Well, my company is reclaiming all company-provided BlackBerrys and rolling out Good for Enterprise on personal devices. Without the ability to use ODIN to completely reflash the device, I tried other methods to remove ROOT -- Universal Unroot, and others that unfortunately I don't recall. I've done multiple factory data resets, and that does not help either.
These methods seem to work as I no longer have root access, however, Good thinks I do which causes my account to get disabled anywhere from 1 hour to 3 days after setting it up. My device is currently showing Device Status = Official and I no longer get the "custom" logo when rebooting. The people at Good sent me a Malware Test app that normally does not show anything, but occasionally will return something running a root shell, but no indication of what -- obviously this is what's causing my device to be flagged as rooted periodically and causing my account to be disabled.
So, in the absence of a stock MF3 firmware to install with ODIN, what else can I do to completely remove root?
You might consider going to best buy that has a Samsung kiosk. They can flash the stock mf3 firmware.
From reading around this forum it sounds like you can take it to Best Buy and go to the Samsung Experience there and they have the ability to flash the completely stock ROM on it (MF3). you just need to call around to your best buys stores to make sure they can do it before heading over there. Others have stated that Samsung sent them to the Best Buy Samsung Experience to do this. It also sounds like MOST of the Samsung Experience people had to call Samsung Support to be able to flash it. Hope this helps

Is there anything I need to tell them for them to do it? Do I say I rooted and need to reflash the stock ROM to completely remove root? I mean, I never would have gone into an Apple Store and said I need to unjailbreak my phone, just not sure what the protocol is to get your phone reflashed by Samsung.
Thanks in advance.

Just tell them your company is rolling out good for enterprise and something happened to your phone where it won't install and they suggested you return it to stock firmware. And you heard that best buy can do that and could you please help me.
Went to Best Buy yesterday. The Samsung rep only comes to the local store on weekends, but one of the other folks was able to help me. I couldn't see her PC screen, but based on what I saw on my S4 screen, it looked like she was flashing the ROM. So far, no issues with Good for Enterprise, so my issue may be resolved.
Thanks everyone for the help.

Hello...
I am new to this forum & this is my first post... I have an AT&T S4 Model Samsung-SGH-I337 running Android Version 4.2.2... I purchased the phone about a year or more ago from an AT&T Store for $700... At the time I also signed up for AT&T Service to give it a try and to have them give me the UNLOCK CODE which they did... I then dropped AT&T during the 2 week trial period and never went back... I have NO Voice Plan... NO Data Plan... NO AT&T PLAN AT ALL... I use the phone via WiFi to control lots of Home Automation & IP Cameras & to take some pictures... I do have a OneSimCard SIM that I use while traveling around the world and also at home in the USA... I make very few phone calls so the OneSimCard system works cheap & GREAT for me... I LOVE the S4 and I LOVE the OneSimCard System... Neither has ever failed me... The problem is that since I do not have any AT&T account I cannot get the AT&T Android Updates OTA... I have tried using KIES but the updates are not there as best I can tell... I have been told by Best Buy (I am there a lot) that they will do a free Manual AT&T Android Update for me via some system they have but I do not like someone else fooling around with my phone... The question is... Can I somehow reliably update the Android Version and maintain the AT&T firmware by doing it myself???... Basically, I want the updates that AT&T pushes OTA but I want to manually install them... I have Windows PC's available to me if they can be used for this purpose... I know you people on this forum are FAMOUS for what you do so I appreciate any guidance & time you give to me... Also, please be patient as I am not a youngster any more... Age 70... Retired Engineer... Thanks so much...

Try this " http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=50912149#post50912149 " .. Flash the Nb1 using Odin.
Note: This will not give you the latest update which is "4.4.4" but it will give you "4.4.2"
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2926642
Hello...
Thanks for trying to help me... Regarding the reply from juandbz & jmjoyas... I have gone to the links and read the stuff... it seems that the one site has the Nb1 download and both sites discuss using ODIN... OK... but it also seems that by following these procedures I am TOTALLY WIPING OUT my phone and starting over... Am I understanding correctly???... and if that is the case I guess there is no way to manually update like AT&T does with their OTA push where the firmware is updated without disrupting the phone???... Have I got it right... That is, if you don't want to WIPE your phone then you must do it via having an AT&T account and do it OTA????... OR... Go to Best Buy where they have some SPECIAL retail sellers way of doing it... Perhaps I am confused here.... Thanks....
Looking for a Stock Touchwiz Rom, with none of the T-Mobile stuff, for a g900t. Don't care about wifi calling. No T-Mobile splash screens, no baked in T-Mobile apps, just a stock samsung rom that will continue to get OTA updates directly from Samsung.
Try here: http://samsung-updates.com/details/...agon/T-Mobile/SM-G900T/TMB/G900TUVS1FOL1.html
that has the t-mobile junk in it. no to mention it is stored on a slow server. I have a 300MBps connection. it shouldnt take 2 hours to download a gigabyte.
Is anyone going to answer me or are you all gonna friggin ignore me?

first of all, most people actually have a life and are not on the internet 24/7. second of all you can flash one of the rams in the android development section that work on all the kite models
I have a Sprint S6 Edge + that has been unlocked and I'm using it on a Tmobile network. Is there a way to load the stock Tmobile firmware on this phone to essentially make it a Tmobile phone instead of Sprint?
It is a stock SM-G928P, running stock Android 6.0.1
Thanks.
Why did you not but tmobile ?? in the first place[emoji12]

I am being very logical if you had bought tmobile in the first placr you would not face any issue because even if you succeed in flashing tmobile firmware on sprint phone[emoji23]
U will face issues that is 100℅ true

Oh, the time travel paradox. I haven't brushed up on my Robert Heinlein lately, but if I remember correctly, it was something like...... If I had bought a Tmobile phone in the first place, I wouldn't have this problem, but I didn't, so I must go back to a time where this Sprint phone does not exist in my current personal multiverse and instead I choose to buy a Tmobile phone thereby eliminating my need to find assistance in the form of a helpful answer to my question. But I have to assume that I'm never able to travel back in time where your answer would apply, otherwise I wouldn't be typing this message, because the problem would have solved itself before ever existing. Got it! Let me stuff some banana peels into my flux capacitor and see how quickly I can generate the required 1.21 Jigawatts.
In the meantime, any Non Marty McFly's that might be able to share any working knowledge of a solution?
Thank you much.

Removing all jokes you can try to flash tmobile firmware and try on your sprint phone the phone theoretically should boot but since very few ppl use carrier much about sprint and tmobile bootloaders and modems are unknown so they are either similar or very different [emoji29] this is why many devs don't support carrier models of Samsung because of all this **** so all i or i am sure of it anyone would say is try and hope you can have basic functions working if that happens then if some bugs exist you can ask devs who by the way work in their free time to help you fix it
Primary suggestion is still sell sprint and buy tmobile phone i am actually serious
Or download g928t latest firmware from sammmobile flashing instructions are provided on download page download programs which they say are needed and see the video of how to install there is everything mentioned in detail but dont come complaining if phone does not boot

Thanks for the helpful suggestion. That's about what I was thinking. My biggest concern is that I flash the Tmobile rom, it doesn't work and I can't flash it back. If I was sure I could still flash back to stock Sprint as a last resort, I'd be more comfortable taking the chance. Admittedly, I was surprised that the phone would unlock for Tmobile in the first place. For the longest time it was either CDMA or GSM and not both, so this is a new one for me.
