phone cases - Galaxy Note 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi there I was wondering if any of you can suggest a phone case?
I currently use the neo hybrid metal series case but it's so bulky.
in looking to retain the look and feel of the phone with mild protection.
also the back plate is it possible to get one that protects the camera when it's laying flat?

If you would bother to read before posting, you would know that he is currently using the neo hybrid one...
To the OP:
You can take a look at the slim armor from Spigen or for a good quality TPU case, look for cruzerlite bugdroid for the note 4.

If your looking at spigen I would stay away from there 'Case Capsule' case.

I've got an Otterbox on mine and it's not so bulky.
Zagg makes a "skin" that you can apply. Think of it like a think screen protector that goes over your phone. They have an awesome warranty, though you just have to send the stuff back first. I had a skin on my Note 2 for a while, but then got an otterbox because the skin offers no protection against drops; only against scratches.

Samsung Protective Cover for me. But of course you have to take care of your display and camera nonetheless.

how to choose between TPU vs Hard case

Hi
My nexus 4 was finally delivered in UK and my friend is bringing it to India for me today
I have no previous experience in using mobile cases (was using a Nokia before :angel ).
I am unable to choose which of these provide better protection in case of a fall ...a TPU one or Hard shell (only Amzer available in India)
http://www.flipkart.com/amzer-95222-tpu-hybrid-case-google-nexus-4-e960/p/itmdfzz7hedkzern
http://www.flipkart.com/amzer-95266-snap-hard-case-lg-nexus-4-e960/p/itmdg5exxhsgzr3y
IMO TPU is soft so it should provide better shock protection ...but then I am a noob :silly:
ask your friend to get a SGP or Ringke rearth case. Personally wud suggest the rearth case tho

thanks but he is flying today so there isnt much time foe him to grab one of these ....my main question was wrt to fall protection ...wgich one is better hard coves or tpu one wich are soft
Tpu is better for falls. But they cover up the sides which in turn messes with the design of the phone screen

TPU is better, lined plastic shell with silicone/rubber/tpu cover is even better.
I went screen protector on the back and a bumper, I'm just playing the odds that the phone won't land on something pointy.
I personally use a TPU case because it sucks up more shock in falls than a regular hard case. Hard cases usually look more clean and nicer, but overall for protection I use a case made of TPU material just in case for that fall one day.

Ebay.in has a few transparent/smoked grey TPU cases. They are better looking than the white and black ones.

Best case for Nexus 4.

Hello, i just wanna know, what you guys thinks are the best case for Nexus 4
I have tried flip cases from Poetic and PDair, TPU cases from Ditztronic and Cruzerlite, and the feather from Incipio. Frankly all left me a little cold based on the user experience of the phone with case installed. The only one that has actually improved that experience for me is the OEM bumper. The floating buttons in the bumper actually make button pressing more positive, and the extended lip, front and back, make it much less prone to drops.
If you're looking for full coverage however, I am not sure what to recommend, but the Cruzerlite came in a very distant second of the cases that I tried.
Good luck with whatever you decide on.
I have the OEM bumper and love it!

Ringke slim for me. I have the poetic bumper as well, but this case is solid, doesn't add much bulk, and gives the phone more grip and the peace of mind not having to worry about the back of the phone.

Does it interfere with screen protectors?
OEM bumper. My phone fell off the hood of my car today and no cracked screens, just a little scratch on the corner of the bumper.

My girlfriend got me hooked on Body Glove. Hard plastic shell with a rubber inside lining and in just the right place outside. A bit steep in price, but I highly recommend it.

No, I currently have it and I don't have any problems with my side-to-side XOskin
I can vouch for the Ringke Fusion case. excellent quality and grip with the complementary clear back to see the awesome glitter.
I have the SAMRICK Hydro Protective and I'm so happy with it.
nothing beats the premium quality of the OEM bumper...well, that's for me though.:fingers-crossed:
I've used the official bumper, Nillkin Slim and Ringke Fusion. The Ringke Fusion is nice but the buttons are TERRIBLE, a deal breaker to me. The Nillkin is really nice, but I prefer the bumper so I can see the back of the phone. I have it paired with the Spigen SGP Ultra Crystal Dual protectors for the front and back.
Sent from my Nexus 4
Poetic bumper is best so far. I got poetic slim case recently. Its much better then ringke fusion.
Ringke fusion adds so much of bulk to the phone. People buy it for its clear back, but its back never remains clear. It catches finger prints, dust gets inside, there are wet spots formed. I see no reason getting transparent back case when it never remains transparent practically.
Going to post a review soon.

[Q] AT&T Cases?

Having some trouble finding any good cases that fit the AT&T LG G2, which has a mic on the back near the camera.
I got the Poetic Palette from amazon but even this one doesn't have the cut out.
What are you guys using?
I'm not a fan of really bulky cases. But the more protection the better if it's slim.
I use fosmon and on the back it looks like it has a large and elongated letter s on the back from top to bottom and on one side it has slightly rough looking and really smooth looking on other side(both on rear side) and it is very lightweight and has all the holes u need for your phone. Click the link below it has a pink picture and they have all different colors.

I'm using the Spigen Slim armor case. Has the cutout you're looking for and is pretty cheap. I love it. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00ELMXXV6/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1386654642&sr=8-1&pi=SY200

I like the TPU cases. Diztronic and Tudia make a slim TPU case for the AT&T Mic. I've used Diztronic on other devices, but got the Tudia case for the G2. I just wanted something that protected the edges and screen if the phone happened to get dropped, and these fit the bill. These cases also help with the slipperiness of the phone as well.

[Q] What glass on the S5?

I'm wondering what kind of glass the S5 will sport? Is this known?
I think a lot of people want to know if it's worth buying a screen protector. I prefer just using a case to keep the screen safe and a screen without a screenprotector feels snappier
Have you considered using a glass screen protector? It gives the same "Snappy" effect as bare glass but also provides scratch protection for the screen.
Assuming I get the S5, that will be my first investment for the device.

I'm curious about these tempered glass screen protectors as well. I've always used Zagg HD on my devices and never had an issue. Was also curious do these screen protectors stay water resistant as well?

Sure, but say I use a flip case for the S5 and keep it in pocket (closed) most of the time. Do I need a screen protector? (I can imagine you need it for unforeseen circumstances, but everyday life?)

I would say for this reason more so than not. See, pocket lint and other dust/dirt/contaminates that make it into your pocket can often times cause micro scratches on your screen. Do you know what happens when those little items you can barely see get trapped between the flip cover and the screen? Well as you walk it actually uses that cover to grind those things into the screen even more. I like the flip covers, but without a screen protector i think they stand the potential to do more harm than good. I say, having a screen protector has yet to be a hindrance, why chance it.

I remember hearing somewhere it uses Gorilla Glass 3. I'm 100% sure it does. As for a screen protector, I find them unnecessary. I never drop my devices and always clean with microfiber, so scratches haven't been a problem. It's really a personal thing, but if I had to go for a screen protector it would be Spigen's GLAS.tr model.

Be extremely careful with the S5 bezel. I dropped my S5 facing down the other day. I took it and checked as if anything was broken. Didnt look carefully but turned out the bezel cracked but its very very hard to notice unless u watch it closely. I think a bumper wont hurt anyone. I personally want this girl naked

Best BackCover

Which is the best back cover for our one plus 5 ? Anybody from India , Please suggest.
Spigen Rugged Armor
Been covering my phone with it for almost 3 months. Good grip, no scratches, no drops etc... Fits well with fabric front foil or anti fingerprint screen protector.

I wouldn't get the ringke the bumper just gets super messed up on those. I'd say the best thing I like about orzly is that it just feels so much secure. You can check my review on Amazon.in I have some pics uploaded there too.
I can only say don't get the Kevlar one from the official site. You can't use the alert slider in that. And it just looks bulky. Got one and using it.

I think because of the rubber sides it would feel more grippy compared to Ringke's sort of slippery material (I bought one for op3 last year). I had read all the reviews on Amazon and surely leaned towards Orzly only. What color do you have though?

I got the black one. The grip is hands down the best I've used. I've had many phones over the years and this is the most slippery one. But this case just makes me feel so much comfortable holding the phone.

I can vouch for this, since I use the same case.
I use the spiegen case
Spigen Neo Hybrid for ruggedness and Nillkin basic is a decent average in all areas.
The OnePlus 5 Bumper Case Karbon direct from oneplus is the best!
Expensive but best protection. I tested it last night Fall from 1,5 m on the really rainy road without any damage (phone or case)
