I have been desperately looking for AirCommand shortcut or Screen-Write shortcut. While in Note 3, there was an app for launching AirCommand without using SPen.
My usage scenario : If AirCommand or Screen-Write can be launched like an app (without using SPen), then it can be added in another floating app launcher like "Pie Control". So when there is need to capture screen followed by quick crop/annotation for sharing/saving, this shortcut can be used saving lots of indirect and long steps.
One thing I always do with my phone while I am reading or doing whatever stuff is - capture screen, crop, write quick doodle or arrow marks, share via viber/email/whatsapp. This process with AirCommand shortcut in Note 3 was like few quick steps. Without this shortcut, it is -
1) Capture screen (obscure way - palm swipe or press two buttons simultaneously)
2) Go to gallery and start photo editor (several intermediate steps)
3) Edit photo and share
Agree, need this one too!

Hi people
Although I have been a thorough reader of the forums, I am posting today after a long time, after having spent days looking for what I need and not finding it. Appreciate your help with the follows:
1. I need an app launcher/dock/shortcuts widget on the home screen that lets me access some of the apps/activities from the homescreen without taking a lot of space (something like the Home++ launchbar at the bottom). however I am not looking to change the desktop entirely (so no home++, pandahome etc), and apps like bar control, ultimatefaves and bettercut don't do it for me simply because they do not group the things I want together in one place (i.e. under one button or dock or bar). Anything else I can try?
2. I am looking for a way to launch the call log by pressing the phone widget, and not the dial pad. Is there a way around this?
3. Am also looking to somehow change the lock screen mute slider to change to a vibrate-only slider instead...any clues?
4. I am looking for a list of wallpaper sites that have wallpapers for N1 in the correct aspect ratio and resolution so when applied they do not lose their sharpness
5. In better cut, whatever icon pack I use it cuts the icon image when placing it on the phone home pages...resolution needed please.
6. Looking for a full screen caller image when I get a call or make a call, preferably of high quality.
7. For some odd reason, google listen is not appearing in my market, can someone share the apk link here please?
Apologies for so many Qs, I have no been able to find solutions to these till now, would really appreciate any help.
Regards
bump....people help pls
1- You can add a "folder" on your home screen, rename it and drop inside whatever apps u want
7. Just search for "Listen" it's the first hit. Or serach for "Google Listen" and it's the second hit.
1 - download apps organizer, very nice app, similar to adding folders but looks a lot cleaner and is very easy to organize.
4 - i use socwall.com, if you sort by widescreen they all look great on my Nexus.
5 - they fixed this in the last bettercut update, all mine look great now, check the market to see if you have an update available.
3 - silent mode jammer in the market will make the lockscreen toggle vibrate instead of silent.
thanks people...anything else from anyone?

5) double-click function. In Settings - gesture control - Double-click to open.
6) painting the letters to open applications, experience super like it! For example, under the black screen, the screen will be able to draw the letter M to open the music it!

I discovered these merely by accident and never knew about them before so others may find them useful too!
1. Press the multitasking button (square) to see your thumbnails of running apps. Now tap and hold on anyone of them to get straight to the app info page where you can do things like alter the notifications, check the storage and battery use etc .
2. Using the keyboard with word prediction, you are given a list of words to choose from right above the keyboard. If there is a word you don't like, don't use, spelled incorrectly or accidentally added to the custom dictionary, you can stop it from appearing again. Just tap and hold on the word you want to remove from the custom dictionary and a pop up window will show - confirming your decision.
Hope these help.

Ok , lets take 2 gestures
Open gallery you will find on top 2 tabs one is album and other is photos tab on photos you will find photos classfied according to date
Then if you slide down there with your finger you will enter to camera.
Another one in camera if you slide up you enter gallery.
Try.
Also in the Gallery app, go to Photos tab and you will see 4 columns of photos. Do a reverse pinch to zoom gesture and you will now see tiny thumbnails in 9 columns. Tap and hold one one of these super tiny thumbnails and you will see a small zoomed image of it and you can drag your finger all over the screen (maintaining pressure) to see more zoomed images as your finger passes over them.
Finally when viewing an image full screen, reverse pinch to zoom to get to horizontal scroll mode to quickly navigate to other photos.
