Galaxy S4 Video Tips Series - Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
I am starting a series of videos that will focus on hints and tips for using the Galaxy S4 called Basics. These are (non-rooted phone) tips with each video around 1-2 minutes long and designed to focus on a single topic. So might be very obvious, some might be a little more advanced and others are neat little tricks and different approaches that you never knew existed. These tips are aimed at anyone and everyone so please take that into account when/if you watch them.
I have previously done very successful videos on the Asus Transformer Prime (150 videos) and the Nexus 7 (100 videos). Here are a few videos just to give you a flavour of my work.

A few questions here

Hi people
Although I have been a thorough reader of the forums, I am posting today after a long time, after having spent days looking for what I need and not finding it. Appreciate your help with the follows:
1. I need an app launcher/dock/shortcuts widget on the home screen that lets me access some of the apps/activities from the homescreen without taking a lot of space (something like the Home++ launchbar at the bottom). however I am not looking to change the desktop entirely (so no home++, pandahome etc), and apps like bar control, ultimatefaves and bettercut don't do it for me simply because they do not group the things I want together in one place (i.e. under one button or dock or bar). Anything else I can try?
2. I am looking for a way to launch the call log by pressing the phone widget, and not the dial pad. Is there a way around this?
3. Am also looking to somehow change the lock screen mute slider to change to a vibrate-only slider instead...any clues?
4. I am looking for a list of wallpaper sites that have wallpapers for N1 in the correct aspect ratio and resolution so when applied they do not lose their sharpness
5. In better cut, whatever icon pack I use it cuts the icon image when placing it on the phone home pages...resolution needed please.
6. Looking for a full screen caller image when I get a call or make a call, preferably of high quality.
7. For some odd reason, google listen is not appearing in my market, can someone share the apk link here please?
Apologies for so many Qs, I have no been able to find solutions to these till now, would really appreciate any help.
Regards
bump....people help pls
1- You can add a "folder" on your home screen, rename it and drop inside whatever apps u want
7. Just search for "Listen" it's the first hit. Or serach for "Google Listen" and it's the second hit.
1 - download apps organizer, very nice app, similar to adding folders but looks a lot cleaner and is very easy to organize.
4 - i use socwall.com, if you sort by widescreen they all look great on my Nexus.
5 - they fixed this in the last bettercut update, all mine look great now, check the market to see if you have an update available.
3 - silent mode jammer in the market will make the lockscreen toggle vibrate instead of silent.
thanks people...anything else from anyone?

x10 Wish List

We x10 users are growing in numbers by the second and it will be a while before we have the luxury of rooting, themes and fixes but what interests me more is having my gripes being herd so the stock phones little issues, bugs and failures software wise are highlighted before the major update in September is released.
So I’m thinking lets list our finding in this thread. From anger causing faults to suggestions to make current features better. Being an SE fan since the T610 I know that SE has a very odd relationship with its fans and something’s don’t hit home when they are staring them in the face but I’m hoping some things will stick.
Once some ideas come in I’d like to create a voting system but I’m not sure how to but I’m willing to take advice. Voting would be useful as I doubt all requests would be seen and acted upon (if any) but it would at least show a priority amongst the x10 users/developers.
So to be clear note software issues that could actually be corrected, improved or implemented. Posting this link on blogs near and far would get our wishes on the radar so please do so as I will. Starting with this one I reckon: http://blogs.extranet.sonyericsson.com/products/
To get the ball rolling...
Generally:
Hit areas for most of the UI seems a little out, maybe a calibration tool like that one found on windows mobile would solve this issue phone wide.
Selecting any audio file give an option to assign to the main ring ringtone. An additional option to assign to a contact seems only natural to be added.
Mediascape:
The track scrub bar is so random and dearly needs its hit area working on.
Old SE features like shake to shuffle, rock clockwise or anti-clockwise to skip forward or backwards/previous, hold on the volume rocker to skip forward or backwards/previous when the phone is locked.
These features are signature SE and I find it odd that they aren’t part of the phones features
Timescape:
It become apparent that this is simply a fancy viewer but it would be amazing for this application to actually be useful and enable the user to send messages in facebook mail and chat. The same for tweeter would make this app more than something people play with for a day.
Viewing the messages via the infinity button looks great, can this not be the default view when actually texting a contact. Contact Pictures and highlighted/different coloured threads.
There’s more but I can add them later.
Mediascape
This is not a bad player at all. But it has too many issues and shortcomings.
1) Its home page is almost useless, because the content in it is hardly what I'm looking for. When I click an album in the home page, I just want to hear that album.
2) I usually just want to browse for artists and albums, and to do this I have to press the little button in the upper right corner of the home screen. So, I would a much more simple, responsive and finger friendly interface. The slider is also very difficult to use.
3) When I disconnect the phone from A2DP, the current now playing list disappears and I can't resume it.
4) I just want indexed audio files in the /sdcard/music folder. Now I get indexed also ringtones and other audio files in SD card (for example, sound effects of a game) and this is a bit annoyance.
5) No way to control playback with device locked. My old SE phones allowed that by long pressing volume keys.
Timescape
After some tests, I no longer use it. I use the GMail client and the stock Facebook application. So I would like to be able to disable timescape and its integration with Contacts and Phone functionality.
Battery
If it is possible to do something via software to improve battery life, do it!
Hardware
I know it is impossible to do a "hardware patch", however I have found 4 basic issues that will drive my choice when I will buy my next smartphone, so this is actually a wish list for the next Xperia:
1) with this hardware design, it is almost impossible to do a good cradle/car holder, and given the very good GPS, this is a HUGE issue...
2) USB connector on top: this is related to the cradle issue, but it is also very uncomfortable speaking at phone when charging the device at home. The USB connector HAS TO BE AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DEVICE!
3) the maximum volume of the speaker is unacceptably low.
4) I really miss some kind of "joystick" to quickly navigate the UI without the touch.
Nice topic!
General:
* It should be possible to stop certain apps (moxier, maps, voice dialer, etc) from autostarting.
E-mail:
* Should be possible to set this app to download only headers. This is such a basic feature.
* Should be possible do discard/not show the oldest messages in inbox. It is already taking a while to load my inbox, what will happen in 6 months?
* Need to be able to attach other types of files than photos.
* When adding e-mail addresses from e-mails to existing contacts, the contact's name should not be overwritten.
Mediascape:
* Definitely needs the possibility to change track during key lock (i.e. holding volume keys).
* It annoys me that long track titles aren't centered.
Photos/camera:
* Need easy access to flashlight!
* Face recognition/identification is messed up, keeps forgetting added names and assigning random new ones. Needs a lot of work!
* When adding a photo as contact photo, it should not be necessary to scroll through all contacts starting from A. Should be possible to choose the first letter (as in contact list), or start spelling.
Contact list:
* When adding a photo to a contact, it should check if I have labeled that contact in any pictures, and suggest those (not just camera roll or standard icons).
Timescape:
* Should be able to display MMS. For example, use image as background and text as text.
* Should be able to display (scroll) longer facebook statuses, rather than sending me to the website.Widget for enabling/disabling wifi, GPS, etc should also include APN, which is not very easily accessible from the menus (many clicks).
Keyboards/language:
* I am missing an easy way to switch between languages (dictionaries)
* Should be possible to delete isolated words that the phone has automatically picked up. Don't want the phone to suggest all my misspelled words in the future. Deleting ALL saved words is not an option.
General
Definitely needs to be a way to disable included apps you're not using (Moxier and Timescape for me)
Info from the Testing menu (dial *#*#4636#*#*) should be available through the standard Settings menu.
Should be a way to adjust the various volumes on the fly without having to go through the Settings menu (pressing the volume keys only changes the Ringer volume, unless actively using Media, in which case Media volume is adjusted).
Would be nice to have a simple app to turn the camera light on and off for use as a flashlight.
Timescape
I don't find it useful at all. The information presented is too limited and the application is dog slow until it's all loaded and updated. Dedicated Facebook and Twitter apps are far better, as is Gmail.
Mediascape
I find it can be slow loading up file lists.
As lornova stated, the home page is useless. I'd rather be taken directly to my files.
Definitely needs lock screen controls. The lack thereof is the primary reason I switched to bTunes for music.
Needs support for DivX, XVid, and other common video codecs (FLV would be a bonus).
Contacts
Lacks options for standard fields from Gmail, such as "website" and "birthdate".
Needs to use the Facebook integration more extensively, automatically linking profiles to contacts and pulling contact photos in (if you choose an option to do so).
Facebook app needs to be registered as a link handler for Facebook links.
Camera
Needs a toggle for the camera light in the main camera UI.
Would be nice if the camera light could be used as a proper flash.
That's it at the moment. I may add more later.
...
I do want to mention, that despite the above issues/requests, I do love my X10 and am very pleased with it overall. But nothing is perfect afterall.
Great thread and I agree with most of the above.
Timescape - I don't use it and perhaps it is a little ahead of it's time. I still see Facebook / Email / SMS as seperate communication methods with seperate purposes, Timescape merges them into one (OK, I know you can seperate them, but still..) it does not still feel natural to merge them into one continuous thread. Perhaps in 5 years time this sort of view will be natural but today I still like to access Facebook / Email / SMS seperately.
Mediascape - The X10 is great as a music player and actually sounds better than my iPOD. Mediascape is almost there but to repeat what has been said above, why does the mediascape homescreen list the recently played as default ? If I have just played an album, why would I want to play it again next time? It would be so much more useful to have random album selections on the front page, or semi-random choices based on the types of tracks recently played.
The 'More' button to get to albums/artists is tricky to press when you are stood in a crowded train, make it biGGER !
The slider for artists/albums/tracks/playlists is almost impossible to use without at least 5 attempts to select the wanted option. SE must have done a field trial with the X10 before the release, why were such simple things not picked up or corrected ?
Battery - Not so much a complaint as it was a week ago, I now manage 30+ hours charge life with reasonable heavy usage, using Moxier/GPS/Bluetooth (no WiFi!), I need to sleep at least 7 hours a day so I have no problem with my phone doing/charging the same. However there are some strange things in regards to battery life on the X10, I have had everything from 7 hours to 35 hours life for a complete charge. I have given up worrying about it but feel convinced that WiFi is the root cause for fast battery drain, even when switched off.
Regardless to the above, I think my X10 is great, the positives far outweigh the negatives and the majority of the negatives could (SHOULD) be easily addressed in a software update. I have friends with Nexus ONE's and HTC phones and I still prefer the X10 WoW, indeed some of my Nexus ONE friends prefer the X10 WoW but still ask is it worth the extra cost ? (I believe it is !!)
I think many of the 'issues' are driven by Android still being an immature OS, the iPhone still feels more smoother and more together than the Android, but the real benefit of Android is the possibilites for customizations... I love being able to see email/rss/news updates on the home screen each time I switch on, rather than having to open up individual apps as I do on the iPhone....
I won't repeat all of the good comments so far.. I agree with most of them..
So, some additional points.
The "Sleep" button on the top of the phone shouldn't be used differently when you're on a call.. I'd like to be able to lock my handset when I'm on a bluetooth call, not wait for it to time out.
More end user customisation in the feature apps would be a great feature (ie.. being able to define your own home screen on Mediascape, so you can make it what suits your needs).
A better photo viewer (This is one thing that the iphone does much better). The standard one is a bit clunky...
A few people have suggested a bigger button to go to the "more" screen.. why not just do what everything else does and allow you to swipe across to it (surely that's the most natural thing to do?!)
When you've named someone.. an option for the phone to go and fetch all other photo's featuring that person would be good..
built in options to manage the start-up of apps.. and monitor your phones performance.
If I think of anything else.. I'll re-post.
A built in deskside alarm clock - that replicates a normal digital clock; I've not found any in the market that really do a good job.
Calendar option - ability to goto a specific date in the calendar rather than having to scroll through to find it.. ("Fancy going to see x in concert on the 23rd Sept?", "ooh, I don't know, give me 5 minutes to find that date in my calendar")
Dialer
Smart Dialing, ability to select different logs.
UI Buttons & selectable text like phone numbers in Person Information
They are just too tiny to click it right. Requires to touch at a precise place. Plus, gets very hard to call someone while driving.
MediaScape
Need to be able to creat playlists.
Need to be able to add a track to current playing queque.
TimeScape
Tweeter/Facebook tiles should have option to pick up Photos from contacts when available. Also improve UI to make text more readable like have a bubble like layer to display text.
headphone/mic
While listening to music, if we get a call it requires us to unplug the headphones to speak on phone. That should be fixed to use the mic on phone.
Lock/Unlock
When on call, the power button should work as screen lock instead of ending the call.
The center Home button should not turn on display when pressed. This is making the display turn on/off constantly when you have phone in pant pocket and is probably draining the battery.
Plus most of the items already listed...
my wishlist:
- increase call volume
- cure wifi bug where wifi drops when the phone loses the mobile network signal
Mediascape
- put in an equalizer
- allow forward/rewind of tracks via the volume rockers when screen is off, just like on all other SE phones
PIM
- make Contacts show birthdays
- then allow Calendar to import birthdays from Contacts!
- incorporate tasks ( and please allow repeatable tasks) into Calendar
- cure Google Calendar sync issues (i have NEVER been able to sync with Google Calendar as yet)
^^
all very basic PIM stuff, although i realize that this is more a Google issue than an SE one
otherwise, i LOVE my X10. a fantastic piece of kit!

[INFO] Tips and Tricks - Eee Pad

Loving your new tablet but want more? Try some of these tips to add new experiences:
-Official Asus mini FAQ pdf HERE.
-Official English language manual HERE.
-----------
-If you have rooted your device, then applying the FOTA update (firmware over the air) from Asus will re-lock your device, as it enables signature checking. If you wish to keep root, either wait for a safe update to be released by a member of the forums, or don't update at all. If you have already updated from the original stock firmware you will have to wait for an updated root method.
*Root allows low level system access to all features of a device. Benefits include, but aren't restricted to, allowing everything to be backed up, blocking adverts, greater customisation, etc.*
-----------
-What apps are compatible?
Try HERE for a list.
-Getting lag from google search?
Set your home page instead of 'www.google.com' to 'www.google.com/webhp?complete=0'. This will remove the instant feature and give you lag free search results.
-Enable Quick Controls in web browser.
Open Browser>Settings>Labs>Quick Controls. Now go back to the browser window and swipe your fingers in from the side of the screen, for a cool options menu.
-Want a longer charging cable?
Certain USB 3.0 male to female extension cables may have the extra pins required to allow you to lengthen your cable. Failing this you could always use a mains lead to extend the electrical lead. Links HERE and HERE for more info. Full thread on cables working and not working HERE.
-Got a problem you can't seem to fix? Tablet locked up or become unresponsive? Speakers not working?
Try holding the power button down for 10-12 seconds, which will totally power off the device. This is different from other power down methods. It's fixed many people's various problems so it's worth a try if you are stuck.
-Install a different keyboard.
There are many keyboards available for tablet devices on the market. Settings>Language & Input>Keyboard Settings>Current Input Method. And if you hadnt noticed, the default Asus keyboard lets you swipe your finger to spell out words, just like Swype.
-Improve your wifi connection speed to the tablet.
Hold your pad vertically while facing the direction of your router or access point. You can get up to a 50% stronger signal just by doing this, as the aeriel is in the top of the device behind the screen. Also make sure your router is on a specific channel and not set to 'auto'. Use a free app such as 'Wifi Analyzer' to help you find the best channel.
-To store more files, expand your memory.
SDXC cards can be read by the keyboard dock. Format your new card to NTFS if you are planning on using files over 4gb. There is no need for partitions. If you are not planning on putting any files over 4gb on it, Fat32 filesystem is also an option.
-How can I get the best quality wallpaper as my background, and still have the scrolling effect?
For non rooted and rooted devices. Check THIS thread for an updated view of the wallpaper situation. Also a good app to help you create a wallpaper with the scrollable effect and still keep the quality is called 'Wallpaper Wizardrii' which is free from the market.
-What is the best resolution to make the wallpaper so I get that cool scrolling effect with the best quality onscreen when changing home screens?
For rooted devices. 2135 x 1408 pixels. The picture posted at the bottom of this post shows you the layout (credits to the Xoom forum people for this image). This is for adding wallpapers to the original directory once you are rooted. This way they are exactly the same resolution as the original 'asus tree' wallpaper. For reference, the middle area of the home screen is 1280x720 in size.
-Can I stop programs running when I start my device up?
You need to root your device and then you can install an app called Autostarts or Startup Manager which will allow you to disable apps that start up automatically.
-Change to an animated wallpaper.
Press and hold your finger on the home screen. Select Wallpaper>Live Wallpaper.
-How do I capture screenshots?
Settings>Screen>Screenshot Now go to the screen you want to take a picture of and hold down the task switching button for 1 second. Release and 1 second later it will take a screenshot. These are saved to sdcard/Screenshots/ in the file manager.
-How do I get into the bootloader?
Hold the volume down button and press the power button. Keep holding volume down until the screen lights up.
-Can I change the boot animation? (the animated 'Asus' logo at startup)
Details HERE.
-Add an internet bookmark list to your home page.
Press and hold finger on home screen. Widgets>Bookmarks
-Show the web browsing history.
Long press the back key in the default browser to show the last few websites you visited.
-Can I change the way web pages display in the default browser?
You can set the browser to tablet, desktop or mobile mode. This will tell the web server you are accessing, how your device should process a page and display it accordingly. It's recommended to set the option to desktop or tablet to make the most of the transformers large screen. To save on data costs when tethered, set it to mobile mode. Open the default browser. Open the browser settings>advanced>user agent string. Change it to whichever option you want. Close browser. Re-open. Should display the pages based on the option you chose.
-Add a finger pattern unlock screen.
Go to Settings>Location and Security>Configure Lock Screen>Pattern>Draw a pattern (and remember it)
-Use Battery Monitor Widget?
Set the battery to 6600mA instead of the default 1200mA. In battery monitor widget>settings>monitoring preferences>battery capacity (Check the underside of your box for the phrase '2CELL3300' to confirm, as there may be different versions for different countries). Setting it to this rating should give a more accurate reading for your battery stat tracking. (Thx to Edge929)
-You can plug other devices into the cable using a female usb to female usb connector.
Certain devices (such as usb memory sticks, keyboards, etc.) can be used via this method. Thread HERE with more info.
-How do I check battery usage?
Settings>About Tablet>Battery use>Click the graph OR Settings>Applications>Battery Use>Click the graph. Shows the system devices that have been using the battery.
-Email someone a lot? Add them to your home screen.
Press and hold home screen>Contact>Their Name. Adds a widget to the screen of your choice that lets you select a method of contacting them.
-What do the colours on the dock indicate?
Solid Green light = Battery above 95% charge.
Solid Orange (they call it orange, it's red on mine) = 10-95% charge.
Orange blinking = Battery less than 3-10% charge.
Orange fast blinking = Battery less than 3% charge.
-Hidden debug settings option in the default browser:
For advanced users. Changing these settings may dramatically affect performance. Type in about:debug into the default browser bar, then hit the options>settings>debug tab.
-Hidden easter egg in 3.1:
There's a honeycomb easter egg in 3.1. Tap the version number "3.1" in the settings>about tablet a few times.

Maintaining these lists has started feeling like a job so if anyone feels like buying me a coffee (via the donate button) or a new house (wouldn't say no to that one ) it's much appreciated (I've made it through too many sleepless nights with a cup o' Joe lately). Or if you don't like that idea then please consider donating to The Red Cross, as they certainly deserve it a lot more than I do.

No problem. If anyone has any more, please let me know and i'll add to the list.
I was gonna open a thread on it but saw this one.
Another tips is that since we are going to see updates more often, please don't update it as soon as you see "new update" available. Wait for it, give it sometime. As we've already seen a thread where user bricked their transformer because of an update...
If its working, don't fix it.
Someone has to risk it. If no one will update we'll never know if it's safe to do.

New tips added...
Right... as of 28th April the first post is updated with as much stuff as I could find from the entire Transformer section of the forums. I'm sure I've missed a fair few things that could be added, so please send me any useful tips that you think others might like to use, or that may help improve their devices. Thanks.

Still now luck I still have on the left side 5 windows email browser places weather and youtube. I have tried clicking on each window then hitting the back arrow still there.
oh you mean that, that isn't actually open apps, those are just most recently used apps. Doesn't mean they're still running. To make the 5 windows go away just press anywhere besides the 5 windows.

[Q] How to fix anoyances with Note 3/Touchwiz

I'm have slight buyers remorse, but I have a few more days till I can't return it for a full refund. I hoping to find out if any of the issue I have with the Note 3 or more accurately touchwiz will be able to be solved. I'm coming from a history of running customs ROMS on my galaxy S1 and galaxy S2, most of the time cyaogenmod. Lucky I find touchwiz has improved but here are my over all gripes:
Can't change the vibration pattern for notifications, most importantly text messages and emails. You can create customs patterns but they are only for calls. This is my biggest problem right now. And the fact that clearing a message from the notification bar doesn't mark it as read is annoying.
I would love on screen buttons, with this much screen restate it's a great phone for on screen buttons, I also find getting low enough to press the capacitive buttons with my thumb and still holding the phone a bit difficult and I think I would have no trouble if there was on screen buttons. - SoftKey Enabler, requires root- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fatedevgroup.softkeyenabler&feature=search_result
Home buttons wakes the phone - Fixable by mod or wanam http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477150
Double home press open magazine - Settings in Magazine, gesture disable can be done by freezing magazine in titanium
Replace S Voice with google voice. - Freeze with titanium then use double tap to get to google voice
Remove all toggles from notification area, have all the toggles in the toggle pane
Remove the persitant icons from the task bar (blocking mode, smart stay, NFC)
All logs in phone log - fixable with app - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.samsung.log.converter.ics
I really got used and liked the pop up/quick message window option that cyaogenmod had. I would like that along with the removal of chat bubbles.
I also liked black/Holo design, I sure this can and will come some how. Also we'll see how kitkat ends up looking...
How likely is it that my gripes with touchwiz can be fixed, yet still stay on touchwiz framework due to not wanting to lose functionality? I am aware it will require root and most likely a custom ROM, but if I was able to start out with just some modifications to stock rom, that might be a good start. I might find out but 1-4 are my biggest complaints. I love the note 3's hardware, but I'm hoping the roms/touchwiz won't push me toward the nexus 5....
One additional question, all these model numbers are confusing as hell. I have the N900W8, will that hinder my ability to use custom roms? Is it an equivalent to another model number? (X-Note is the only roms I've seen so far the explicitly says its compatible with the 900W8)

All suggestions welcome.
Edited with solutions in blue. I haven't tried them yet
If you open Magazine and hit menu, then choose Settings, you can turn the double home press off from in there.
The swipe from the bottom gesture can't be disabled short of doing something like freezing Magazine with Titanium Backup.

I would love on screen buttons, with this much screen restate it's a great phone for on screen buttons, I also find getting low enough to press the capacitive buttons with my thumb and still holding the phone a bit difficult and I think I would have no trouble if there was on screen buttons
Can't change the vibration pattern for notifications, most importantly text messages and emails. You can create customs patterns but they are only for calls.
Home buttons wakes the phone - I did read somewhere this was able to be disabled
Double home press open magazine
Replace S Voice with google voice.
Remove all toggles from notification area, have all the toggles in the toggle pane
Remove the persitant icons from the task bar (blocking mode, smart stay, NFC)
All logs in phone log - fixable with app, easiest one yet.

A fwlew of these things are easily fixed with xposed wanam module. You need to be rooted though. As for Google voice, freeze svoice (maybe you can just clear defaults, but I froze it) then when you double tap home, you'll be given options in what you want that to do.

looking how to change these. hmm

New to AW, coming from Gear S2. Whoa, I have some questions

First of all, if any of this has been asked and answered in other threads, I apologize. I did look! But there are a ton of threads to go through. I even did a search.
So, I had a Gear S2 sport, and I wanted to upgrade and get something that looks nicer (Gear S2 even with band adapters doesn't looks so good), so I thought I'd try out AW and so I got a Huawei Watch 2 Classic. So far, whoa, this is a whole new beast! I guess I didn't think that two different smart watch OS's would be so different!
Anyway, some things I REALLY miss about Tizen wear:
The ability to scroll left or right to get to menus/widgets/etc. (this only brings up watchface selection for me. Can't seem to find a way to change it, seems like a HUGE waste of possible functions!).
Adding widgets (not watchface widgets, actual screens you can scroll to, like swipe to the right to see for example). This I really miss. I could scroll right and glance at the weather, calendar, control my phones music player, etc. It was SO helpful and functional. Not having this also seems like a HUGE waste of possible functionality.
Sooo, is there any way to do any of this? I see there are launchers for AW, but I haven't found anything yet that quite does this. Some DO allow swiping left or right to pull up menus and such, which is a great start, but no widgets.
Also, is there any way to adjust the screen timeout? I cannot find anything... If I have the always-on active and I wake the watch, it times out and goes back to ambient mode in 5 seconds. With always-on disabled, it turns off after 10 seconds. It would be nice to be able to set this for longer. This is particularly annoying.
Anyway, thanks for any help! I want to give this a try and will give the new watch a few days at least, but to be honest, I'm already thinking about exchanging it for a Gear S3. So, let me know what I can do to remedy this please!
