hi...my redmi note 3g was brick and i'm unable to install the driver to flash my redmi...i cannot install the driver because when i plug in my phone it be like connect-disconnect continuously....i've been looking for driver but all of them failed to install proper driver for my phone because when i opened the setting file, it have string like below :
[Strings]
MTK = "MediaTek Inc."
MTK6218 = "MTK USB Port"
MTK_COM = "MTK USB Modem Port"
MTK_CAT = "MTK USB Debug Port"
MTK_PRELOADER = "MediaTek PreLoader USB VCOM Port"
MTK_SP_DA = "MediaTek DA USB VCOM Port"
Serial.SvcDesc = "USB Serial emulation modem driver"
i've bolded the string which might cause the driver install failure
my redmi is MTK6592 while those driver was MTK6218
for those who have working Redmi Note 3G, please help to extract the driver and share here...i will use restore method to install the driver for flashing my redmi...
please dont ask me to download the driver that existing here because all of them have string like i mentioned...go see it for yourself...
i think that is the reason why there's like no solution for those who brick their redmi phone and cannot install the correct driver...
i'll be grateful if you can extract the installed Redmi Note 3G driver and share here...you can extract the driver using this software --> driver magician

You don't need a seperate driver for the USB Modem!Just follow these steps:
1)Plug in your device in USB Modem Mode (don't worry even if Windows doesn't find a driver for your device)
2)Open Device Manager
3)Right click your device and select "Update Driver Software"
4)Search for any drivers manufactured by HUAWEI company and select the driver and click to install!(if you don't find any drivers manufactured by HUAWEI, then find another driver for a dial-up modem and update to that driver)
It should work, atleast it worked for me!
Hi, based on title above, I'll provide screenshot that the driver (CDC ACM & CDC NCM) didn't found. Kies latest version is installed on my Windows. I tried to connect to another PC, but the same drivers didn't found. I did google about CDC ACM & CDC NCM drivers, but nothing helped.
My OS for my PC is Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and I did custom ROM for my GT-I9500 using Arrow ROM. I tried another ROM (MIUI, CM11) too, seem ROM is not the problem.
p/s: Sorry for broken English.
Hi, I have the same problem. if you have got any fix for this issue please share.
thanks in advance
Use the Samsung USB Drivers from Samsung SDK tools :
http://developer.samsung.com/technical-doc/view.do?v=T000000117
On Windows 8 / 8.1 run in XP compatibility mode. Then reconnect your phone.
EDIT : I can see you have Kies, the problem is Kies. Uninstall Kies first and all of its traces on the system then install the drivers.
Thanks for your reply, Finally found the mistake, Just need to dial *#0808# and need to select AP in USB Settings.
I'm trying to install Samsung mobile phone drivers but no matter what I do I miss these drivers when I connect my Samsung Galaxy Y:
CDC Abstract Control Model (ACM)
CDC ACM Data
CDC OBEX Data
CDC Object Exchange (OBEX)
I have googled for solution and I have followed recommended actions (install Kies, install latest drivers, reinstall all, use "have disk" method) on different operating systems (Windows XP, Windows 7) but I got no success.
My phone doesn't boot (I need to flash it with Odin) so I have tried it all in recovery or download mode but I understand it should not really matter as it's Windows issue, not a phone. I'm using original Samsung USB cable.
Could somebody with a working setup could check if they have above devices correctly installed and provide me more information on the driver file? I mean the information from driver details tab in Windows, ie. name of *.SYS file, *.INF file so I could at least check if I have a driver on a disk.
Any other suggestions also welcomed!
Kies is useless & is not required for galaxy y gt-s5360 as it's not supported for firmware flashing on this device so uninstall it
Uninstall any Samsung drivers you have installed from add/remove programmes
Goto my firmware thread at top of Dev section or link in signature
Download & install USB drivers on my thread
Download the firmware from my thread depending on region
Follow the instructions fully
You can manually install drivers if you wish by clicking on unknown device/device with yellow! click have disk & navigate to where you installed Samsung drivers eg c:/programme files/Samsung
It has finally worked (Windows XP)! I have just installed drivers and followed your instructions (with download mode, not recovery mode). Initially I had other unrecognized devices (very generic usb ones) but after a few attempts (usb plug out, usb plug in) the phone has been detected successfully and I managed to flash it. Many thanks!
Sorry, I forgot to mention. I had also removed a battery.
I have the same issue, Could you please paste the links for downloading the drivers.
Hi
I am a new user for nexus 6p, For the first time I connected my device to Computer running windows 10 updated. My laptop didn't detect the usb and the driver is not installed properly, I tried downloading the latest usb driver but it didnt help , While searching for the driver folder it throws
Windows was unable to install your unkown drive
You can get the USB drivers straight from Google and try to uninstall/reinstall or download Wugfresh's NRT. There is very good driver installation tool and test to confirm you get both USB and fastboot drivers installed properly. Just follow the "Full Driver Installation Guide"

Hi... Do you have ADB enabled in developer options? If you don't have developer options enabled, go in: settings>about phone and type 7 times on the build number, then go back in settings > developer options and enable "android debugging".
Plug your N6 on your computer, check your phone screen and allow press ok when it asks to "allow USB debugging".
Does it change something? Is your N6 recognized in device manager? Does the driver updates?
...
So My puter recognizes my phone fine....
Pop opened the configuration and General tab says:
This device is not configured correctly. (Code 1)
A service installation section in this INF is invalid.
To find a driver for this device, click Update Driver.
I try and update the driver using the "Let the puter search" feature and it finds one and tells me:
Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device.
Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.
MPE Device
A service installation section in this INF is invalid.
If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its website and check the support section for driver software.
This is all AFTER I downloaded the latest Google USB drivers and unzipped them.
Phone is set to MTP mode and debugging mode is unlocked and usb debugging is on.
No Go.
Problem:
Have a V35 that just can't seem to be accessed properly by QFIL.
When I try to open partition manager, it stops for a bit and then gives me an error (function: sahara_rx_data:277 Unable to read packet header. Only read 0 bytes)
What I've tried so far:
(from this guide: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v35/development/bootloader-unlock-root-instruction-t4052145)
(also used the V40 thread as reference: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-v40/development/unlock-lg-v40-via-9008-root-t-mobile-t4042207)
On PC:
Installed LG Drivers
Installed 9008 Drivers
Installed QPST w/ QFIL (latest version from the QPST website 2.7.480)
On V35 Device: Enabled OEM unlocking and USB debugging
In QFIL: Set file system to UFS, selected the prog_ufs_firehose_Sdm845.elf file for flat build programmer.
I can get the V35 to blank out and device manager shows the QUALCOMM device under ports list.
QFIL can detect the device in the COM port. (I can move the usb cable around and the QFIL program will follow the change of port around)
I've tried updating the drivers on the 9008 driver device on first time use as suggested in the V40 thread.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the 9008 drivers and QPST as suggested in the V40 thread.
I've tried moving to different USB 2.0 ports as suggested in the V40 thread.
I've tried swapping cables twice, including using the original USB A to USB C cable the V35 came with.
One thing I haven't been able to do is assign the search path on "Select Flat Build" bar. I couldn't find any files to download and place in the search path so I assumed it was unnecessary for getting QFIL to work.
Any ideas?
Wild guess, other USB driver interfering?
What CPU and chipset are in your PC?

Ended up moving to a different PC and doing the following:
1. Install an older version of QPST 2.7.474
2. Update drivers on device manager to change the name of the detected device from the old name to Qualcomm.... 9008
3. Change file system to ufs from emmc.
Could start reading the contents of the device after that. I didn't install LG drivers until I had to connect to adb to call "fastboot oem unlock".
